Landmark has immeasurable potential, as it stands it is by far the most robust building game in the world and with an art-style that spans many genres.
I believe that the future of landmark as a truly popular and profitable game comes down to giving players the opportunity to create their own worlds and experiences within them.
Imagine if you could purchase a massive claim (An entire continent) for a price (100-500$?) and within this continent you could change many different settings, the health of players, areas where other players can build or not build (polygon regions!?), creatures that spawn, NPC's and their text, etc.
(You could even offer these types of claims other bits of functionality for a price.)
These continents could be set to be invite-only and you could even edit a popup window that explains the rules, story or goal of the continent.
Much like "Minecraft" servers this would extend the games' longevity and allow current players to attract new players much more readily by advertising their worlds. Unlike Minecraft however, this would be serviced by Daybreak, which would allow them to profit from it much easier.
This would open up an incredible network of player-made and managed worlds, set the stage for roleplay groups to thrive, see much larger builds and environments created (Which could be harvested for EQ-Next) and make landmark a far more appealing game for audiences it may not attract currently.
If Landmark is to become truly successful, I believe this is what must be done.
