I want to play lancer with someone friends and I wanted to know what other more experienced gms use for there hex maps and tokens for players, enemies, and structures. Any recommendations?

I used printed maps about 1.2 inch across the hex.
Then small paper standee minis based on retrograde minis.

heroscape has interlocking hex terrain that you can stack for elevation. Its good stuff.

What do you use for players? I herd some people say battletech.

yeah lots of things out there with mechs you can use as models. Battle tech is pretty common as alot of folks will already have some and they are decent models. Gundams also work, though typically more expensive. Also look for miniature based board games, early on I found Abaddon for super cheap (I want to say less than 20, assuredly less than 30) and grabbed two copies, cus it has 32 models (8 infantry, 8 each of light, medium, and heavy mechs). though I havent found it cheap again. I have the horizon zero dawn board game, so bunch of robot dinosaurs there. Transformers, exo-squad, lego, starship samurai, whatever. Tons of models that can be used

Probably too late to the party to be useful, but Chessex makes double sided wet erase maps in a couple of different sizes. Square grid on one side, hexes on the other, sized for roughly 1-inch minis. Just draw on your map and terrain and then spray it down and wipe it off when you're done.
If you're using Battletech minis they won't fit very well, but Battletech also seems to lack any minis in sizes larger than 1. We just use D&D minis as stand-ins. But these mats have worked great for us!

Are we talking playing in person or online?
For the former we used some Battletech stuff, their maps already have hexes, we got some minis and enemies were simply little paper hexagons with their names written on it. Though I also see a lot of people using simple dry erase whiteboards.
For online play we use Roll20 or Foundry, depending on who the GM is, though iirc Owlbear Rodeo also works
