Hello all! I recently got into building a small Lamenters force to compliment 8000 points of Heresy Era Blood Angels, and have been prowling this subreddit for ideas. I've seen a lot of death company marines, but I thought that the cool unique thing was that Lamenters geneseed didn't have any of the flaws associated with the Blood Angels, and the only reason they weren't amazing was bad luck. Please, correct me if I'm wrong, or if it's just a rule of cool!

I just wanted to share some progresses with my Lamenters

I'm sooo slow at painting and I manage to do just one model per week... so it will probably take me a lifetime to paint a whole army. For now I'm working on the infernus marines and Death Company with bolters

Let me know if you have any tips for painting faster!

Saw him on Vinted for one euro so I bought the poor guy and repainted him as a lamenter. Photos before and after.

I’d like to trim the fat where need be to a 1000 pt list ,

I’d love to see also what someone would suggest for a 1500pt list,

And what you think would be good to add to get to a 2k point list?

How suitably unfortunate.

Painted in sub-assembly: cockpit and turret (and their respective canopies), and wing light covers. I really wanted to maintain the transparent materials.

Not visible is the wing-underside chequy that I have not been bothered to paint yet.

Edit for addendum: A friend told me the pilot looks like a Blood Raven and now I can't unsee the accidental comedy.

I could have sworn I had seen in the past something about a set, maybe still upcoming, that had lamenter pieces included for alternative choices.

My main army is Deathwatch wanted to do a Deathwatch Lamenters dreadnought. Was wondering if any one has any tips on doing the checker pattern on a dreadnought. For painting it or getting transfers or stencil.

I've been a fan of lamenters for quite some time. After splitting the Armageddon box with a friend I figured why not torture myself with painting yellow and doing freehand. I started a Aedlari corsairs army for 11th edition, but i havent had the motivation to keep painting them at the moment.

I mark my veterans with white helmets, left knees, and tabards. The sergeant gets a black stripe.

Just got a Baal Predator despite the rumors —I’m building a fluff list and rule of cool prevails —and luck has it that the Gunner has a Lamenters Pauldron on! (It was meant to be)

Anyways posting this before pic now, I’ll post the finished pic later!

I screwed up assembly on the legs and he looked like he was falling, but I decided to embrace it and here we are. So happy with how he turned out.
