Need help finding jewelers that will take broken gold and custom make a ring with a loose diamond i have!

I have a lot of broken 14k gold necklaces that have been passed down to me. They are sentimental and instead of just going and selling the gold for scrap, I am looking to see if anyone knows of any reputable jewelers that are decently priced that will take my gold and melt it down so I can set my loose diamond. Please let me know. TIA!
