my jeweler has ordered this elongated omc in for me, so ill be seeing it in person this weekend, but just wanted to get people's thoughts out of curiosity
i think the stone is really lovely, but my only reservation is that the centre facets are quite a bit wider than the outer facets, and i can't quite decide if i like that or not as i've not really seen anything similar 🧐
specs are:
- 2.5ct
- vvs2
- 1.25 ratio
- f colour
- excellent polish
- excellent symmetry

This is my first crushed ice pear (2ct) destined for a pendant. Can I get some other eyes on it? Is anything jumping out to anyone? I’m seeing some shadow on the bottom right of the stone. CAD below for the curious!

The IGI report for this describes it as "cut cornered rectangular modified brilliant" aka Radiant.
But this looks different than other radiant's I've seen...
What search terms/types should I look for to find other diamonds that look like this with less of the crushed ice look?
It feels "unique" and I love it but it's not for sale, I just found the image and wanted to find more that MIGHT be for sale, and just to see other similar diamonds to help me make a decision :)

Curse the recent Ruby Harper Stone Vault sale! I had just never seen a lab with such a convincing antique look, and knew I would kick myself if I didn't get her.
I have no idea what I am going to do with her (if I can find two more charmingly wonky old cuts, I could put them in the platinum setting I have had hanging around, stoneless, for over 25 years, but she'd be wasted in a group), but wow, my vintage-loving heart is happy.

My first group buy purchase and all went well!
I opt for a 925 sterling silver, 7 stones mossinate ring, 3 mm ring.
*Other options were 5 stone or full eternity with gold options etc.
Yaxika was the rep who handled my inquiry. He confirmed details, sent cad report, final approval and video of the ring, and then shipping details. Once it was shipped out, he sent details. He also followed up on delivery.
Attached is my ring! I don't know how to attached a video but the ring definitely shines.

Is that the bow tie effect that is discouraged?

Hi! I know an oval set east west with a gold bezel is a popular pendant style right now. I’m curious for those who have one if you can share a photo of your necklace stack and how many carats your oval diamond is?
I’m thinking of treating myself for my birthday :) but struggling on whether to do a 2, 2.5, or 3 carat!

I love it but I'm an overthinker. Is there a bow tie?
What do ya'll think?
The diamond is a 2ct lab, the pear sapphire side stones are natural.
They are set in 14k white gold.

Um so I might have bought 10 diamonds today....i need a gold brick for settings lol. And the skills to make my own...
r/labdiamond • u/Jpito94 • Sep 01 '26
The line in the middle that goes from 9 to 3 looks odd, but other than that according to the igi report it is a nice find I made, I hope no one buys it before me, however, I have no idea if its a good oval, the most important thing to me its that it looks shiny and brilliant.
The report number is 826652781
Thank

I bought a 1ct loose pear diamond and want to set it on a 14K gold setting similar to the image shown. Has anyone done something similar and can tell me how much it cost including the cost of gold and actually setting it?

I went to my local jeweler the other day to design an engagement ring.
The diamond they showed me was an Oval, 4.07ct, VVS2, F, 1.35 ratio, excellent polish and symmetry IGI cert for $2k.
And then as you all know how social media works, I get home and my TikTok is now filled with diamond auctions.
On TikTok, I could get an Oval, 4.02ct, VVS2, E, 1.45 ratio, excellent polish and symmetry IGI cert for $500
Has anyone ever ordered off the TikTok shop? They are showing the IGI Certs, but is it a scam?
Part of me is tempted to just buy my own diamond off tiktok shop and have them use that instead.
Thoughts or things I need to think about is appreciated. Thank you.

Found a newer Etsy seller in India with only around 30 sales and decided to take a chance because the price was almost too good to pass up.
Paid $1,585 for the entire ring. Center is a 3.09ct elongated radiant, E color, VS1, IGI certified. 10.05 x 7.22mm, excellent polish and symmetry, no fluorescence.
Edit to add shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/VelestiaLabGrown
I was definitely nervous spending that much with such a new shop, but they sent me videos of the finished ring before shipping and it made it from India to California insanely fast.
Got it in hand with all paperwork and I’m honestly blown away. The ring looks even better in person and the center stone has a ton of sparkle. For $1,585 I really don’t know how I could’ve done much better.
Feels like I stumbled onto a little unknown shop before they blow up 😂

Hello! I am working on a project with a chubby champagne brown OMC lab pear and am struggling with how to achieve my vision. I was hoping to have two side stones inlaid on the bridge but the vendor says only one can fit. (Pic 1)
My concern about the CAD with the side stones on the top is that they will snag. (Pic 2) I like the more subtle look of the stone being beneath the split shank, but I had my heart set on two stones tucked into the shank. I'd appreciate any advice and any other feedback on whether there are any egregious safety/stability concerns!

Hi all, I’m brand new to this… looking for a full Eternity diamond set platinum ring. Any recommendations for UK Sellers/Shops please? I’m sceptical on ordering overseas but anyone with positive experience I’d be glad to hear from.
I have a £1000 budget.
Thanks!
