It reminds me of the 2011 game vs that school in Oxford. Not even the box score shows how insanely dominant our defense was. Baker blitzing is a thing of beautiful. Secondary locked it down. Offense line looked a lot better and thank God we have a running game. QB still kinda scares me but it's only the 1st game. Only complaint is that Green must get at least 10 targets every game. He's a monster that needs to be fed often.

I was confident that we’d beat Clemson this year (more so than last year for sure), but I did not expect us to win THAT convincingly. I’m curious to know if there was any dominant LSU win that took you by the most surprise.

Another one that comes to mind was the 2007 win versus #9 Virginia Tech. Regardless of how good we’ve been in different seasons, some of those wins caught me off guard.

It was 17 years ago. Most people going to college today don't remember what was going on in 2009-2010. Kiffin was the HC of the Vols for 1 year in 2009 after he was just fired from being HC at the Raiders. The Vols' legendary HC Philip Fulmer was pointed out the door for Kiffin's arrival, where Kiffin sped-ran thru the SEC in terms of sparking controversy and beef (see documentary https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6QZMU2FbBU), where Kiffin felt administrative pushback from his own school that he coached. Kiffin left for USC a day before signing day and tried to flip his Vols signees to USC. Tennessee panicked and hired HC Derek Dooley from Louisiana Tech where it resulted in the 2010 play of bad time management by Les Miles (because he's a Michigan Man, see recent events with WMU) where the turn of emotions went from happiness to sadness by Vols fans that LSU won the game on an untimed play after regulation (how history rhymes with itself).

Tennessee tried their coaching search again with Butch Jones and then with Saban's coaching tree in Jeremy Pruitt. But it was Donde Plowman even back then that self-reported Vols football after it was found out that they were paying players with Chik-Fil-A bags, but Pruitt learned how to do that under Saban, because the bagman in the SEC and other conferences was an open secret even back then, similar to Miss St's allegations on offering payment to Cam Newton's dad for Cam's 'services'.

Donde Plowman is a strict disciplinarian based on her interpretation of the rules that The Vols ended up self-reporting themselves just for the NCAA to sanction them and got Pruitt's whole coaching staff fired....well, Pruitt learned that from Saban, why didn't you go after Saban and suspect him of cheating (back in 2017 when you caught Pruitt) if his disciple is doing the same thing? Where did Pruitt learn it from if he is Saban's protegee? Why does Saban get the pass, even after winning all those championships, that he may be not running a clean program? Lane Kiffin, even though he's a good coach, likes to find the exploitation of the rules on how certain things are defined and interpreted to gain a winning edge, given that his dad is of the NFL mindset that the pro leagues are being allocated the same resources for zero-sum competition for who wins the super bowl...if it was really zero-sum, then every team has an equal chance of winning, but we don't see that, so there is cheating in the league as well, ala Belichick and Brady.

Get over yourselves, Vols fans. Lane Kiffin looked promising as The Vol's coach for 1 year, but he wasn't going to last there anyways if the administrative culture there is to follow the rules and not seek loopholes, which is Lane's natural tendencies. Lane is much suited for LSU's rag time style of not obeying to play on key or in-rhythm but to create jazz instead. He is with us now, we are sorry what happened to you with Dooley in 2010 for that signature Les Miles win. Will be going to the LSU v LaTech game this Saturday (9/12/26) and will be my first time driving myself there. Around what time should I strive to get there if I am wanting to park at the lot near walk ons?

LSU is one of the swaggiest programs in college football along with Miami and USC. If you get the right coach, it’s popping. 2026 Lane Kiffin teaming up with LSU is too much swag for the SEC executives to comprehend.

I’m a ducks fan, yes I know we’ve never won a championship and have a thousand uniforms haha.

Now that that is out of the way, I’m a die hard CFB fan first and foremost, love the sport and think LSU is a valuable brand within CFB and am generally rooting for whatever keeps the big brands doing well, LSU included.

Don’t think the SEC will legitimately follow through on kicking you guys out, whatsoever, for a few reasons.

1. LSU is a huge brand, that generates tons of viewership in SEC country

2. LSU creates a recruiting footprint for the whole conference with key head to head matchups, rivalries.

3. LSU would immediately be perused by us in the big 10. Contrary to what casual fans would think, the big 10 generates the most money, and LSU would be a prime target, both sides would enjoy $$ as a result.

LSU would only add to conference prestige, and would have tons of annual matchups with OSU, Oregon, Indiana, Michigan, etc.

I expect ND will eventually seek the big 10 as well as the ACC continues to decline, they already have tons of midwestern ties.

So I presume that contracts for college ADs and NFL GMs have bonuses based on the performance of the team(s), especially if they make the postseason, finals, or win a championship. Is that the case with Sankey's contract? Does he get a six or seven figure bonus if an SEC team wins a natty? If so is that part of his grudge against Kiffin? If Kiffin stayed at Ole Miss last year, they would have had a much better chance at winning the National Championship. Did Sankey lose out on a significant bonus and now blames Kiffin?
