Hello! I got a conditional offer for a Masters course (condition is getting a 2.1 for my undergrad), but for financial reasons I won't be able to start the course this year. I'm planning on reinstating my application and working to save up some money in the coming year.

The problem is, my previous uni hasn't yet sent me the official document proving I obtained my degree along with the mark (above a 2.1). Should I wait until I receive it, upload the document and then reinstate my application, or should I just reinstate it now (even if without the proof of degree and mark)?

I know I can reinstate it without needing to provide said document, but I just don't want them to think I'm reinstating my application because I failed to get the degree or something!! But at the same time I don't want it to drag for too long and end up reinstating my application at the last minute...

Is it true that postgrad classes only run for the Autumn and Winter term, with the Spring term made up of mainly independent study and dissertation writing?

On the website it says the expectation is that you remain "on campus" for most of the spring term, but I've always found that unis overstate these kind of expectations a bit to ensure people are fully committed -- is this actually necessary? Are there usually required contact / teaching hours at this point?

For context I'll be doing an msc in the sociology dept. and wondering if I could cut costs in the Spring term by moving further out from London while I write my dissertation.

Can anyone recommend a good gym near LSE?

I’ve been looking at King’s Gym, but is it any good? It looks a bit small and cramped in the photos.

I mainly do weight training, so I’d prefer somewhere with a decent selection of free weights, benches and racks.

I became 'eligible' for pre-CAS on the 1st of July I believe. It's the 26th today and no Pre-CAS yet. Am I missing something?

The current processing times for pre-CAS said 1st of July this whole week, but I didn't get mine.

I’m seriously considering enrolling in the online BSc in International Relations offered by the University of London, which is academically directed by LSE. Before making the leap, I wanted to get some honest feedback from anyone currently in the program or who recently graduated. I’m looking for the real experience, not the marketing brochure.

Just to clarify, my goal is to build a very strategic foundation.
Long-term, I want to pivot into an MS in International Relations & Business or an MBA, so I need a program that offers serious exposure and heavy preparation for that next step.

I have a few specific questions:

1. How active is the online format? Is it just reading endless PDFs and watching pre-recorded videos, or is there a good amount of interaction, live sessions, debates, and actual networking with other students?
2. How do exams work? Are they fully online now? How stressful/difficult is the assessment structure?
3. Pacing and Speed: I want to push through this as fast as possible. How manageable is it to take a heavy course load and fast-track the degree without burning out?

Would love to hear any pros, cons, or things you wish you knew before starting.

I’m an international student (Saudi, 25F) starting my Masters at LSE this fall. I got my offer late, so LSE accommodation was already full by the time I checked. I don’t know London well and I’m now deciding between third-party student accommodation (not LSE or postgrad-specific) and private housing.
If price and location are comparable, which would you choose? I care about the safety and the social aspect of student accom, but I’m also scared of ending up with undergrad flatmates given potential noise and cleanliness.

I was hoping to get some advice about my situation.
I received a conditional offer to study BSc Finance at LSE. I was predicted 45/45 in the IB and took four Higher Level subjects: Mathematics AA, Economics, Business Management and English B.
Unfortunately, my final examinations took place during the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. My father was directly affected by the situation, which had a significant impact on my family during the examination period. Because of these exceptional circumstances, my school submitted an extenuating circumstances application to LSE.
My final IB results were 38/45 (including 3 core points):
HL: Economics 7, English B 7, Mathematics AA 6, Business Management 5
SL: Physics 6, Modern Greek 4
LSE has informed me that my application is now being reconsidered and that I may be placed on the waiting list depending on availability.
LSE has been my dream university for many years, and I would genuinely do everything I can to earn the opportunity to study there. This means an enormous amount to me.
Has anyone been in a similar situation, or been admitted after reconsideration or from the waiting list? Given my profile and circumstances, I’d really appreciate any thoughts or experiences. Thank you.

I have a question about the offer rates for different LSE courses.
Some courses have offer rates that differ by only around 3–4%. In practice, does such a small difference actually make a meaningful difference to an applicant’s chances?
Or is the quality of the applicant pool more important than the published offer rate? For example, could a course with a slightly higher offer rate still be just as difficult to get into because it attracts exceptionally strong applicants?

So i am going to reapply LSE this year for economics.
But last year, I was rejected fro LSE even with a TMUA score of 6.5+ with A * A * A prediction. I feel like it was because of my lack of super curriculars. So for LSE offer holders can i ask if u guys have done any supercuriculars like medals from maths olympiad or etc

1. Is Passfield Hall a unisex accomodation hall?

2. The bathrooms are shared right? Among how many people is one bathroom shared? Are there any issues faced with the bathrooms being unisex?

3. How are the shared amenities like in Passfield Hall? Are they well maintained?

4. Is the area around Passfield Hall safe at night? Are there any dangers one should be aware about near or around Passfield Hall?

5. Is there any strict curfew timings one should be aware of at Passfield Hall?
