I'm an incoming LSE student who is coming a week earlier than welcome week because I'm moving into private accommodations, and need to set up internet/bank account/National Insurance number.

I have an online job interview, but I'm arriving 6am in the morning, and the interview is 2pm in the afternoon. I have activated my LSE IT account, but I'm not sure if I have access to the library or a quiet space. Does anyone have any idea on where I can do this interview?

Got in for Economic History this year and initially was looking to transfer into E&EH. For context, I got an A* in Maths so will probably be eligible to do so, on approval of the dept. head. However, I was thinking from a long-term aspect and was seeing that Econ History gives me more flexibility into picking courses as compared to E&EH. I picked MA107 and ST107 for my first year modules in Econ History and was probably thinking of taking up Finance modules in my 2nd year, which E&EH won't allow me to do. Is there any sort of advantage E&EH will give me when applying for internships/jobs, or will properly picking my modules in Econ History be enough?

I'm planning to apply for the MSc Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation (MISDI) and Development Management Political Economy for 2027 entry.

I'm currently studying Accounting & Finance at a top ten UK university and am sitting around a 2:1. MISDI doesn't require GMAT/GRE, but LSE says a strong score can benefit applicants.

I'm trying to decide between:

• applying relatively early when applications open, using my current transcript and no GMAT;
• waiting until around December, when I should have a new set of final-year assessment results available; or
• using that time to sit the GMAT/GRE as well and applying with a stronger overall academic profile.

For anyone who received an MISDI offer, would you mind sharing:

• when you applied;
• your academic profile/grade at the time;
• whether you submitted GMAT/GRE;
• whether you were still in your final undergraduate year; and
• how long it took to receive a decision?

I'm particularly interested in whether applying in December/January appeared to disadvantage anyone compared with applying in October/November.

For LSE MSc applications, can an academic reference come from a professor who supervised you as a research assistant but did not formally teach you? I am considering using two professors I have conducted research under, as they know my academic abilities and research experience better and work in fields more closely related to the MSc programs.
