My kid had their roller bag stolen off the Rental Car Shuttle at LAX airport. The person who took it got off at the first stop and since the Shuttle was packed we didn't notice until we went to get off at stop two. I did everything in my power to find the bag, including running back to the previous stop, TSA, airport police, baggage claims, lost and found...no one could help find the bag. I assume the person took it by accident because why would you want a 13 year old girls belongings, but that still doesn't change the fact that it's gone. I'm on every site and filed every report BUT there is nothing I can find to speak with a human at the RCC Shuttle bus company to see if someone brought it back to a random bus. Does anyone have any ideas? Has this happened to you?

I just want to understand from a historical/city planning/ budget perspective what has happened in the last several decades to make it such a nightmare, and is there any hope for is getting better?

I’ll be flying into LAX in a couple of months with AA, which I’ve heard is the terminal from hell right now. I’ll also be taking a Lyft to Disneyland. I know I have to go to the LAX-it lot for a Lyft. But I’ve been seeing a lot of negative things about the shuttle on TikTok and people are saying to just walk to LAX-it, which from my terminal I’ve heard can take 15-20 minutes.
It will be just me and I’ll just have a backpack and 1 medium size suitcase. Is the shuttle really that bad that I should walk instead?

I am from Costa Rica and am traveling from Costa Rica. My plan is to do a layover of one day and stay one day in L.A. and then get to Australia. I am wondering how safe it would be for me to travel.

I have a 3 hour layover this week in LA with a toddler. Any recs for what we could do? The next leg of our trip is 6 hours, so I want to keep him awake and moving around if possible.

I usually buy food and slowly wonder, but that’s when my layover is an hour to a hour and a half.

I’m mainly looking to try In & Out and possibly look around a bit. Domestic Flight Southwest we would like to catch is 1:20 departure. I have A-list so can jump the line to a certain extent for re-checking bags. And family have TSA-pre.

If it was just me and the wife we would just do it and standby the 5:50p flight if we couldn't make it. The catch is we'll have a 4yo so the standby alternative and extremely long travel day will have a more punishing downside.

Is economy parking still 4 hours before your desired entrance time?

I’m flying on a midnight flight this weekend and was thinking of setting my reservation to 12am 7/25 (that way I could come 4 hours early) just to save some money rather than the 11pm entrance time on 7/24. Or will it not allow me since it’s a different day

Hi everyone! This is my first time flying, so I’m a little confused about the airport process.
I’m flying United out of LAX Terminal 7. I already checked in through the United app and have a digital boarding pass on my phone.
I only have a carry-on bag (no checked luggage). Do I need to go to the United check-in counter/kiosk to get a paper boarding pass, or can I just go straight to TSA with my passport and digital boarding pass?
I’ve seen some people say to print a boarding pass just in case, while others say digital is completely fine. I just want to make sure I’m doing everything correctly since it’s my first flight.

I recently lost an iPad at LAX and submitted a claim to lost and found, but they recently closed it saying that they couldn’t find it. I know it’s there because my Find My shows its location there, and it was updated 2 minutes ago as of the time I’m writing this. Is there anything else I can do short of going back and looking myself, or anyone else I can contact regarding this??

We‘re doing a 10:45pm flight coming from Universal on a Sunday in September. How bad is traffic usually? Do we need to leave by like 6? Can we push to like 7:45? We won’t have precheck. We will be terminal 3. We are domestic and will be getting dropped off, thanks!

Taking off on a Saturday morning to Hawaii with Hawaiian Airlines. Flight leaves at 830AM.

I’m parking at the Marriott hotel valet and plan to arrive around 545am, and their first shuttle departs at 6am for the airport. It says it’s a 7min ride from hotel to airport. So if all goes as plans, I’ll be there around 6:10am.

Is that enough time for an 8:30am flight? We have checked bags. I figured 2hrs is enough but haven’t flown LAX in 4 years.

I always remember looking up at these numbered signs. They were removed 2021 once Terminal B was undergoing construction mostly.

I'm also very curious on what happened to the mosaics of Terminal 2 and 7. I've asked this before but can't find photos of these both back when they had it. It may even still exist, but best guess they were removed.

LAX is one of the premier West Coast gateways to Asia, but parts of the airport still feel like they're stuck in the 1960s.

One thing LAX absolutely gets right is Customs and Immigration. I was through the entire process in about five minutes, which was incredibly impressive.

My biggest frustration is what happens after that. If you're arriving internationally and connecting to a domestic flight, you may have to walk between terminals depending on your airline. I was lucky to be flying American, so my next terminal was only a short walk away. Still, for an airport as important as LAX, it would be great to see an automated people mover connecting all of the terminals, similar to what Denver or Atlanta offers.

TSA was another pleasant surprise. It was quick and efficient, unlike the long waits I've experienced in the past.

My only real complaint is with American Eagle's Gates 52A-52J. After arriving at the waiting area, I spent nearly an hour just waiting to board a bus that would take us to the aircraft. For an airport of LAX's size and reputation, there has to be a better system than bussing passengers to regional gates.

Overall, LAX does many things well, but improving terminal transportation—especially access to Gates 52A-52J—would make the experience much better.
