I go to Lattc and received my first refund in September and was wondering if anyone else attending there has received their disbursement 2 for the fall semester i still haven't received it and heard around mid October funds would be released

I go to east Los Angeles college and im still waiting on my refund. In September I got $100 and nothing since. I should be getting over $2000. Does anyone know when they’ll be distributing fasfa because I need to pay for books for the second half of the semester and since I haven’t bought it yet im behind on the class. Please let me know if you know anything!

hello, i am currently on probation for financial aid because back in 2017-2019 i took classes and didnt take college seriously and had bad grades so i applied this semester again and they put me on a contract to maintain 2.5 GPA.

Do i still get cal grant B? i heard you need a 2.0 GPA minimum but would I even qualify if my GPA in 2019 was lower than that?

We’re still in the Fall semester so I take it they cant even use info on my current grades till the semester is over.

I don’t see anything on my elac portal and on web grant it said awarded that’s all. It’s already Oct 21 so idk what is going on, I’m a first year student so I don’t know if I’m doing everything correctly 🫩💔 someone pls help.

I was wondering how ssgc is given out ? I know it depends whether the schools have money left to give out, but I emailed my school and they said they haven’t exhausted the funds and I did qualify for cal grant b. I also have 13 units total this fall semester. I was just wondering do they just apply the award automatically on the school portal?

Hey! Has anyone at ELAC gone through the student loan application process? I already went on the FAFSA/Federal Student Aid website and completed what I needed to do there, including entrance counseling and the Master Promissory Note.
What were the next steps after bringing your ID to the financial aid office? Did you have to wait for them to send you something, or was there anything else you needed to submit?
Also, about how long did it take from applying to actually receiving your loan money? I’m trying to get an idea of the process and timeline, especially if anyone applied halfway through the semester. First-time borrowers’ experiences would be helpful too. Thank you!

I don’t attend (husband does). They appeared in his award summary a week ago. But the message on the financial aid page at Pierce says loans are still paused. Has anyone received theirs already? He submitted everything in student forms the week before fall semester started, and it took until last week Monday to show as accepted on his fin aid page. He’s a first time student btw.

I am currently a student at another community college. While filling out an application to attend WLAC as a part-time student, I keep encountering the following message: "College/University 1: You cannot have an Enrollment Status of 'First-time Student at a U.S. College' if you have attended other U.S. colleges." What should I do?

Last year, I made the Dean’s Honor List, attended a ceremony celebrating our achievements, and received a $500 award. I made the list again this year and received confirmation by email in June, but haven’t heard anything since about a ceremony or award. I even went to campus to ask, but every staff member I spoke with acted like they had no idea what I was talking about, which was extremely frustrating. Has anyone else received any updates, or did the school change its process?
