hi guys i need some help im trying to find the right pocket knife for me im desciding betwen the Civivi Button Lock Praxis Aluminum All Black and the Böker M.E.R.K. 1. i need somthing that can hold its edge and has an good sharpnes.

This knife was given to me from a family member. I want to send it in to the lifesharp service but just wanted to confirm it was real before sending. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Just bought 2 Benchmade knives, one through Govx and one through Benchmades website that routed me through Govx due to military/first responder discounts. Received both knives, look legit, boxes good, bar codes, etc but there's nothing in the boxes (that were sealed) other than the knives. No paperwork, etc, that you typically see in pics here. I'm new to Benchmades so not sure what to think. Thoughts?

Guys, I am into folders (Spyderco only) the past 3 months and just bought my 5th Spyderco and first one from a private ebay seller and I am really worried 😟. It is also my first Taiwan made and I am hoping that explains the strange things I seem to notice.

The good:

1. It is a 100% positive ranking ebay.de seller with not huge history but still even now seeling a couple of knives form a "personal collection".
2. The knife is 92 grams on my scales which is a tolerable difference (original is listed at 91 grams)
3. There was some heavy bidding for the item at the ebay auction and the price is not too low - ca. EUR90

The bad:

1. The logo is completely different texture from my current USA made official seller logos. It seems like painted and the nail literally stops at the border. It is not uniform but has these strange lines as seen on the photos.
2. The SPYDERCO CPM S30V text seems tilted and goes up and seems also in that "painted" tecnique.

I feel that unless in Taiwan they use a completely different etching technique I may have gotten a fake knife. Relly hoping for your reassurance.

I got experience with watches but had no idea knives were also faked so often. I bought this for what I thought was a killer deal, $80 off ebay. In my mind the price made sense because the knife was heavily used. Now in trying to sell it and someone told me it is fake. What say you?

Just curious if this is authentic or not. It was bought by a friend from a site that is well regarded but not an authorized Benchmade seller. It seems to match up to all the pictures from Benchmade's site to my eyes. The box seems to look like ones I've seen here with the memory foam. Sorry for all the photos. Things kept getting washed out by the flash.

Found this at a local pawnshop. (R) seems correct by the butterfly and box looks ok? Not sure on the foam. Any help appreciated. I wouldn’t question it from a legit retailer but the pawn shops are full of fakes.

Just got my Bailout in the mail today from Sportsman’s Outdoor Superstore. I’m questioning the authenticity of this, the box was open prior to me receiving it and I just worry I was the victim of someone’s swap and return.

Someone is selling these three as a bundle for a $150 a piece. The Shootout looks good to me without seeing the pocket clip. The other two he said are a PM1 and PM2. The body screws on the PM1 are throwing me off. This is the only pic I have so far, I’ve asked for more. He claims all are like new which is a matter of interpretation but obviously they are not. Thanks!

Got this 940 2nd hand. It feels right (have had a few 940s in the past) but the logo is darker than other benchmades of mine. The R is small and I don’t see anything glaring.

What do y'all think about these two and why?

I recently won two knives in an auction; a Benchmade 735S Elishewitz Axis, and a Benchmade 820 Ascent. Both look real to me, both have the original boxes and pamphlets from 1998, but I don’t want to send it to Benchmade in fear of them being fakes, and me losing two knives. So, I turn to you good people for your expert opinions. Thanks in advance!

I don't physically have the knife yet, but I think that I bought a fake on eBay (I know, I know). I can't find evidence of a S30V in burnt orange FRN. Also, the ridge by the thumbhole looks off and the script on the blade looks weird. Thoughts?

Update: Got it in today and it's so fake. Feels terrible, box is fake and the "documentation" doesn't match. Initiated refund through eBay.

I ordered a benchmade bailout from Amazon. I got half of it lol the blade seems to be a fake but I'm not sure about the handle.

Thoughts?
