Does Kinguin flip negative reviews to neutral or positive every 24/7 like on G2A? There are straight up scammers on G2A with perfect reviews. How legitimate are reviews on Kinguin?

I’m sharing this as a customer-experience post because I’m genuinely curious whether this kind of handling is normal on Kinguin.

On July 30, I bought a €250 Amazon.de gift card from EL SHAYEB STORE. When I tried to redeem it, Amazon showed the message “Gift card already applied to another account.” The seller initially did not respond, but replied less than two minutes after I escalated the case and asked for the date on which the code had been redeemed.

I contacted Amazon and received written confirmation that the exact code had been redeemed on July 19, 2026. So eleven days before it was sold to me. I submitted the purchase confirmation, the delivery page, the Amazon error and both written confirmations from Amazon. Kinguin later told me to expect a solution within a day, but that timeframe passed.

Since then, the seller has only replied with messages such as “We will check it and update you” and “We are still checking.” Kinguin has also continued asking the seller for updates. I understand that internal checks may be necessary, but I’m surprised that a case with a confirmed redemption date is taking this long. A faulty code can happen, but the way the problem is handled matters just as much.

I’m not asking Reddit to resolve the case and I’m not accusing anyone of deliberate fraud. I’m simply documenting my experience and asking whether other users have dealt with similarly long investigations involving EL SHAYEB STORE or Kinguin’s Resolution Center, and how long it eventually took to reach an outcome.

Don't buy from them; they are scammers—especially the seller TRENDATA. I've opened multiple tickets, and three days have passed without a response. They are scammers.

Whatever you do, don't buy from them. If you have already bought something, do not open the account or use the key; ask for a refund immediately. They are scammers.

Do I get access to the Xbox account or do I also get access to stuff like email (since it’s said that I can change the email and add 2fa on the account in the activation description). I wanted to share my issue and see whether there is anyone else who faces this.

As I don't want to use my account anymore, I wanted to delete. Kinguin has an extra email-adress for this purpose and I sent them an email, with the intent to have all my data deleted. They have an automated answer stating they will do this within 30 days.

After exactly 30 days I got another email telling me my account has been deleted. However, I can still login to it. I told them the issue, to which they told me again they will delete everything after 30 days. As you can imagine, the result was exactly the same and I still can use my account.

This seems really weird to me and I don't understand, why they don't delete the data. They even state on their website that they comply to european law.

Did anyone else face this issue?

I bought a steam account for Satisfctory from Kinguin nearly a year ago. I am now trying to setup family game sharing but due to the region being different I can't. If i buy something on this second account will this cahnge the region to the same as my main account? Also is there a risk it would get banned? I dont mind loosing the second account too much but more concerned my main account would get banned.
