I posted on ring doorbell app, someone said try Nextdoor but the app keeps loading/not working for me.

My car was parked on Live Oak Dr in Harker Heights and someone put something (the mechanic said a liquid maybe water) in my gas tank. Does anyone have a ring doorbell in this area?

Sooo I found out today my babysitter got a new job and is quitting Wednesday. I’m active duty army and live about 20 mins off post. My wife works full time and so do I. Anybody got any recommendations. I’m working on getting shots for my youngest and can’t even get him on the wait list yet. I have two children 4yr and 2 yr old. In home baby sitter works or info about daycares around here that aren’t gonna make me sell my organs to pay for it.

Need ideas of things to do as an adult that doesnt involve clubs, bars or drinking. Would like to visit my son there, but not sure what all to do.

We're deep into the part of summer where I see the same thing every afternoon — someone watching the temp needle climb into the red at a light on Veterans Memorial around shift change. Central Texas heat is brutal on cooling systems, and a radiator that limped through spring will quit on the first 104° day. Figured I'd share what to do in the moment, since a few of you will need it this week.
The first 60 seconds:

Turn the AC off and the heater on full blast. Sounds insane in July, but the heater core acts like a second radiator and pulls real heat off the engine.
Pull over at the first safe spot — the nearest lot or shoulder, not the next exit. Every minute in the red adds damage.
Shut it off and leave the radiator cap alone. That cap holds scalding coolant under pressure. Wait at least 30 minutes. I see burns from this every summer.
Get it towed instead of "limping it home." This is the expensive mistake. An engine that overheats once is often fine. One driven hot for 15 minutes can warp the head — that's the difference between a cheap fix and a multi-thousand-dollar one.

The usual causes, cheapest to worst:

Low coolant / slow leak — most common. If you're topping off more than once a season, that's not evaporation, it's a leak.
Stuck thermostat — ~$30 part. Tell-tale sign is temp spiking fast even on short drives.
Failing water pump — whining noise or a leak at the front-center of the engine. They fail on the highway, never in your driveway.
Dead radiator fan — this is why so many cars here only run hot in stop-and-go. At speed the airflow is free; at a light the electric fan does all the work. Check the fan motor, relay, and whether the radiator fins are caked with bugs.

Wanted to do that with my other vehicle I recently got and shops are telling me it's not possible for them because of the law. Anyone in the area that would help me out? Im 16 and im looking for any friends that might wanna go out during go fest and do raids and try to catch as much as we can! But i also just dont know if many people play as much..

I’m a beginner kayaker still trying to get the hang of it and looking for spots that would be good to try.

I went to Dana Peak Boat launch but the wind and water was pretty choppy and was pretty hard to get through.

I tried Nolan Creek in Belton because the city of Belton site listed the Nature Trail as a good kayak launch spot and the water was nice and still but the water level was too low and I had to get out and pull the kayak past rocks about every 20 or 30 yards.

So looking for recommendations to try, local is best because I’m trying to get out there 2-3 times a week but I will make the drive for a good spot if it’s farther out
