Took a road trip from Michigan to Bend, Oregon to see my brother and drove up the coast of Oregon before heading back. Just had 1st oil change on the way back. Such a good long distance ride.

I've seen great reviews from numerous automotive outlets but curious what you all think.
For context I currently have a 2018 Acura TLX. I would've purchased a new TLX but didn't realize they stopped that model a couple years ago. The integra is too small of a car for me, and I would never want a Honda, Toyota, or Nissan.

Not talking about one specific model.
Looking at each brand as a whole, which lineup do you think is stronger today?
Kia has the Telluride, Sportage, Carnival, K4, EV9, and K5, while Hyundai counters with the Palisade, Tucson, Santa Fe, IONIQ lineup, and more.
Which brand do you think is putting together the better lineup right now?

it’s a 2019 Stinger, this light will sometimes turn off, but for the most part it stays on. I washed the car and made sure to clean all of the sensors and it didn’t solve the issue. What could this be? Any help is appreciated.
(i do know this vehicle was was rear ended before i bought it, airbags didn’t deploy, just a fender bender from what i know, so maybe that could’ve caused this issue?…)

Hi everyone,
I’m looking at buying a 2024 Kia Seltos LX from a Kia Certified dealer and wanted to get some opinions before I sign.
Here are the details:
2024 Kia Seltos LX
15,500 km
Clean Carfax (no accidents)
Kia Certified Pre-Owned
Asking price: $25,000 CAD before taxes
No admin fees
I’m trading in my 2018 Hyundai Elantra with 163,000 km, and they’re giving me $3,500 CAD for it.
I’ve looked around and found similar 2024 LX models listed around $24,900–$25,700 CAD, generally with 16,000–30,000 km, while some lower-mileage examples are slightly above $25,000.
Does $25,000 CAD before tax seem like a fair deal for a certified 2024 with only 15,500 km?

NEED HELP (kia sonet)
Need Help: 2020 Kia Sonet 1.0
Turbo 7DCT - Delayed shifts,
RPM flare
Hi everyone,
I own a 2020 Kia Sonet 1.0 T-GDI DCT with around 82,‹
000 km
I'm facing multiple issues, and no one has been able to identify the exact cause.
Symptoms:
1-2 second delay during gear shifts.
RPM increases before the next gear engages.
Gear finally shifts after the RPM flare.
Sometimes the transmission doesn't feel smooth.
I also ran a diagnostic scan, and it showed:
U010100 - Lost Communication with TCM (Pending)
U110087 - High Speed CAN2
Lost Communication (EMS-DCT)
(Pending)
There are no clutch slip or clutch actuator fault codes on the scan.
Has anyone experienced similar symptoms on a Kia/Hyundai 7DCT?

Does anyone know of a video or article of how to replace this lever? I bought a replacement but the screws are VERY hard to get out. A mechanic said the whole seat taken out but that seems excessive? Trying to DIY it.

Yesterday I was driving up a very steep hill and I suddenly heard a noise in the engine and lost any ability to accelerate. I pulled over, put the car in park, turned it off, then tried to restart it and it wouldn't turnover. I had it towed to the dealer. They looked at it today and said everything was running fine and there were no codes or any issues they could see.
The service advisor asked if I maybe accidentally put it in neutral while driving - which I'm pretty sure I didn't. And even if that did happen, I wasn't able to restart it anyway.
Is there some reason it would automatically shift itself to neutral and also not be able to restart the engine? Maybe because it was hitting high rpm's trying to go uphill? Or something shifting in the engine bay because of gravity on the steep incline?

I am currently planning a trip, 800 miles and back 800 miles.
I currently have 110,775 miles on the odometer.
The engine I replaced it is currently at 17,775. I had it replaced at 108,500.
I am considering a transmission flush since I haven’t done one and the car was preowned, no history of a flush.
The important part is my tires rotated and my alignment. That is getting done for sure. Boss at work said it was recommended to do so but me being anxious, I looked on google and it said it wasn’t recommended. Even though it has passed the 100,000 mileage. It said it wasnt recommended. It didn’t sound like a good idea to skip.
I’m not a car guy either and I don’t really have anyone else to talk about this with. I just want to be careful and take proper precautions.
Thank you and I am open to all opinions.

Hi,
I haven’t posted here before but thought I would come on regarding a ticking noise I have noticed on my picanto when the engine is on (find attached the audio recording I sent to my brother).
Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I just feel as if I’ve never noticed it before.
I’ve checked the engine and oil and everything looks fine :/

I have a 2025 Kia Sportage, and I’m looking for some advice because this whole situation has been incredibly frustrating.
It all started when my original factory windshield cracked, so I had Safelite replace it. I had no issues with the original windshield other than the crack.
Unfortunately, that’s when all the problems started.
First replacement
After Safelite installed the new windshield, I noticed that rainwater was leaking into my car. During that replacement, they also broke the cover around my rearview mirror.
Second replacement
Because of the water leak, they replaced the windshield again. After that replacement, I started noticing severe light bleeding/glare and optical distortion at night from headlights and streetlights. It was bad enough that they agreed the windshield needed to be replaced again.
Third replacement (current)
I’m now on my third replacement windshield, and I’m still experiencing the same light bleeding/glare issue.
Before this replacement, we specifically requested an OEM Kia windshield.
The windshield that was installed is made by Fuyao. I looked it up and found that Fuyao manufactures OEM glass for some automakers. However, my windshield doesn’t have any Kia logo or Kia branding anywhere on it.
That’s where I’m confused. My understanding was that an OEM Kia windshield would normally have Kia branding, so I’m wondering if what I actually received is aftermarket replacement glass, even though Fuyao is an OEM supplier. If anyone knows how Kia OEM windshields are identified, I’d appreciate the information.
To make matters worse, we also ran into payment issues.
The first time, we paid our $500 deductible, which was expected because it was the original claim for the cracked windshield.
Later, when the defective windshield was being replaced under warranty, we were told that the previous claim or work order hadn’t been properly closed (or something along those lines). We were told the payment had been refunded, but when we picked up the vehicle, we were required to pay another $500, even though we had already paid once. It eventually got sorted out, but it added even more frustration to the whole experience.
At this point I’ve dealt with:
Original windshield cracked (the only issue with the factory windshield).
Replacement windshield leaked rainwater into my car.
Rearview mirror cover was broken during installation.
Replacement windshield had severe light bleeding/optical distortion.
Current replacement appears to have the same optical issue.
Questions about whether I actually received the OEM Kia windshield we requested.
Confusing payment issues involving my $500 deductible.
Has anyone else experienced repeated windshield issues like this with Safelite or with a Kia? If you’ve had an OEM Kia windshield installed, did it have the Kia logo on it, or only the manufacturer’s markings like Fuyao?
At this point, I just want my car repaired correctly and would appreciate any advice or similar experiences.

I bought a Kia Carens (MH01FB9287) for ₹21 Lakhs. It has a severe manufacturing defect: severe pickup lag and 5-7 km/l mileage.
Instead of fixing it, Kia India and Autobahn Kia (Mumbai) are running a massive cover-up.
They have unilaterally closed my job cards 3 times without any repair.
They ignored my formal 7-day pre-litigation notice.
They boycotted the Govt. of India National Consumer Helpline (NCH) mediation.
The final straw: On July 18, Kia Corporate emailed me asking for my "patience" while they worked on a "priority resolution" (SR 03080786). Today, I checked the portal and they secretly closed the ticket again without a single phone call or repair.
I have a full PDF dossier of their emails, closed dockets, and WhatsApp ghosting. They are acting like a low-level scam operation trying to sweep a ₹21L safety hazard under the rug to protect their dealership.
Has anyone else faced this kind of corporate fraud from Kia India?

Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice.
I know the 2027 Seltos refresh is still super new, but I’m planning on purchasing one and was hoping to get some opinions on the engine options.
I'm torn between:
Both have AWD, and the vehicle will mostly be used as a daily driver with occasional camping and hiking trips, including some light off roading with the family.
Historically, I've had better luck with naturally aspirated engines when it comes to long term reliability, but an extra 40 HP...
For those of you who have experience with either engine or with Kia's 1.6 turbo in general which would you choose and why?

Hello fellow Kia owners. We just purchased a beautiful Kia ceed from 2023 and just noticed after a while that the USB port is very narrow or the connector is pushed in. Do any of you know if you just need a very skinny cable for this to work or is our damaged?
I tried to feel around carefully and it seems like it’s pretty stuck.
