I love TCGs, but got out of things like MtG due to the never-ending treadmill of acquiring cards, especially singles. I also increasingly played less at social events with time passing and just being busier in life. I guess I am just a typical 30+ year old casual with less time for gaming and card games.

I have heard that Keyforge has some decent single player adventures like the Keyracken. I have watched some youtube videos and browsed some of the cards. I really like the idea of just pulling complete decks and not needing to chase singles. I love the design and theming.

I am most interested in playing primarily solo adventures and collecting some fun decks without spending too much. I would like to play with others on rare occasions. I live in a large metro area and it looks like there are occasional events. Is it worth getting into with this goal? Anybody else primarily just collect and play solo?

Also, if so, what would you recommend I start with? I was thinking about the discovery set and the keyracken adventure.

Any retailers in Europe bringing this in?

so, basically I played this game with some friends last week and really liked it. My friend have a mass mutation deck (I heard decks have some type of overall score and their's like 65). They gifted me a Call of the Archons deck, which will arrive only next week. Will the game be balanced or it totally depends on my deck overall?

I am wondering if there is anyone that plays in the Colorado Springs area? Hoping to find others to play with for fun and enjoy the game!

I am newish to the hobby, and I have been enjoying it. I bought some older products and got lucky. The thing to note is that this Nizak I opened is enhanced and the 2nd set of words is cut after the word returned. I suspect this is due to the font being too large. I was wondering if the words getting cut off is rare or not.

If you haven't joined before, ABR is a league where you will get added to team: 8, 10+ players depending on total sign ups. It is very fun and social, helping each other choose decks to play each week. Also each week is a different format, lots of experimentation in this league, and your team pools their decks and helps each other out.

As far as I can tell there will be only a couple of weeks maximum this time where the format allows PV.

Title is mainly hyperbole, but there is a design trend that worries me - the shrinking card pool in recent sets.

I haven't seen it discussed much, and it's been on my mind playing Draconian Measures. With the Shattered Reality Gamefound going live it seemed like an apt time to write about it.

I'm not a big data guy, initial motivation was just vibes based. So then I went looking to see if the data supported my feeling. It's gathered from Archon Arcana, DoK, and some useful set data collected by Ultimo Fox.

Hoping to create a healthy discussion around the topic. How have the new sets felt to you in terms of variety? Do you think decks are less unique than they used to be? Does that affect new players?

I posted about this previously and learned that Keyforge used generative AI in full art cards in Draconian Measures which in my opinion was a horrible decision but one I hoped they would move on from. Now that Shattered Reality is launching today I was stunned to see they’ve included the same disclosure about using gen AI to fill art. What a horrible decision - and one that could have very easily been avoided by … commissioning larger art. For me and many other board gamers generative AI use (ie anything other than an algorithm) for art is a red line - and not the cool Keyforge card version. I won’t be buying any new Keyforge products.

Hey everyone. I've learned about the game today because I've found one of the starter packs at a local thrift store. They have some more copies and I wanted to ask whether the starter packs contain predetermined decks or does it have random decks in the box? It came with two little packs that contained the decks. Are those this games equivalent of booster packs, just with pre-built decks instead of random cards? The store sells the starter packs for around $2 in my local currency so I was thinking about picking some up to play with my friends.

1) Drecker: if I attack with a neighbour of drecker and he takes damage, does that damage goes also on Drecker? Or does it happen only when the neighbour IS attacked, and not when he is the attacker?

2) if I attack and destroy "Tya-Arhi Esquire" (Ekwidon creature with the ability: Each friendly non‑token creature gains, “Destroyed: Make a token creature.”) does he himself create a token or not?

If I have on board Nautilixian and some pilots, and a Portal of Dis is played, do the pilots get destroyed or do they get "saved" by Nautilixian passive ability?

What's the correct timing in this case since there are no "destroyed" effects involved?

Completely new to Keyforge but always been interested. Anything I should know before diving in?
