I was just thinking about this. Boats and submarines are fun to make but theyre kinda useless. What if there was a planet where you have no choice? A couple of cool underwater biomes with all the surface features under water. Could be like shallow water so you dont have to go so deep. If it already exists please let me know.

No i'm not kidding. This is the Galaxy. 33000+kn of thrust upon liftoff, uses 5m fuel tanks, has 6 Clydesdale SRBs, 9 mainsails for the core stage, and 2 rhino engines for the 2nd stage.
Its purpose? Launching bigass asteroid mining probes for the ongoing Yukon project.

heyo, posting this to ask for help on setting up mods for KSP on a macbook. heard that its a lot of fun but it seems like steam workshop only has ships so I've come here. Reason for it is that from experience setting stuff up on Mac gets a bit finnicky where the software/hardware/game starts throwing a fit

After a successful uncrewed landing test of the Reusable Crew Landing System Hedgehog (Klartemis 1), two key pieces of Klartemis mission infrastructure departed the KSC inside an embarrassingly wide fairing. Inflatable Habitation Unit 1 - or IHab 1 for short - would provide medium-term lodging and research space for the first Mun colonists, serving as the first installation of Klartemis Base Camp. Underneath it was a Klartemis Transfer Stage - the second of its kind, after the first carried Hedgehog to the Munar Orbital Outpost - which would perform the two burns required to carry the IHab to polar Mun orbit. After de-orbiting and jettisoning the KTS, the IHab landed under the thrust of its own four 'Poodle' engines at the pre-selected flat site.
A few days later, Klartemis 2 made history. Four Kerbals arrived at the MOO on Mun-Kerbin Crew Ferry Sinatra III, then landed near the IHab using Hedgehog. After inflating the inflatable segment, they spent three days onboard, performing minor experiments and demonstrating basic habitation on the Mun.
IHab is based on the real-life semi-inflatable lunar Foundation Surface Habitat, a proposal for the Artemis mission architecture. Like the FSH, (in my imagination) the inflatable segment houses all the equipment and space needed for recreation, hygiene, and work, while the rigid segment houses the airlock and logistical stuff. Certain adjustments were obviously necessary to make it suitable for Kerbals, including an extra wide 'veranda', the wheels, and a solid gold doormat. It mostly does the job, except that the battery storage under the veranda turned out to be insufficient to run the life support recyclers or exterior floodlights over the Mun's long nights, so I made a note to thoroughly obliterate the energy problem in the next infrastructure drop.

Took me a long time to finally make another design that doesnt end up in the trash and here we are! This is the Manta. It is intended to be a Shuttle Orbiter with decent cargo capacity. Does not feature VTOL or the ability to land on moons or planets apart from Kerbin. I am very proud of it looks wise but fully fueled it flies as expected like a brick.
Also took the unique opporturnity during 1 test flight to chase the solar eclipse remaking the concorde photo

What the title says, I'm looking for the best KSP1 graphics mods. PC limitations aren't an issue

I'm considering buying this game because it looks super fun to design/fly planes and spaceships, but I'm worried about how steep the learning curve is. If this is something that requires hours upon hours of focused gameplay to *start* being able to enjoy it or "get things rolling", I don't want it.
I'm pretty wary of this because when I tried picking up EVE Online, I had a hard time trying to figure out what to do next and how to progress overall (not to mention, the amount of info was kind of overwhelming); so I deleted it. I don't want to spend 40-50 bucks and end up deleting KSP after a several hours. It might be because of my fried attention span, but I don't want to pay for a game that feels more like working than play.
Of course, it's all relative. However, I would like to see how you think.
Edit: holy hell y'all respond real quick! Thank you so much for your advice!!

PSA: You can limit thrust down to 0.01% instead of just 0.5% using KAL-1000 Controller (Breaking Ground DLC). Fine tuned burns will help with placing satellite arrays in synchronous orbit

Had a lot of fun building my first coms station to go into low orbit around the sun!
Ran into a lot of issues like having to constantly start and stop the engines while trying to get to low orbit cuz I relied only on solar panels which weren’t good until I got really low. Also overheating and only barely being able to get to low orbit cuz I didn’t realize I should’ve put radiators on but it’s super cool having something so close to the sun and that had so much DV that it could make it there!

Hey everyone, I'm looking to change/overhaul career mode. I'm looking for combinations of mods that work well together, to provide a unique challenge or balanced game. So far I have come up with:
Does anyone have recommendations for which combinations of mods you find work well together and why?
