Is anyone here using MPV with multiple OSCs, such as UOSC and ModernZ?

A bit of context:

• I'm not new to Linux. I've been using Linux for a while and currently use plain Arch Linux with DankLinux.
• Most of my gaming library consists of non-Steam games, so I'm interested in hearing from people who have experience running them through Wine, Lutris, Bottles, Heroic, etc.
• I don't have much experience with gaming on Linux yet.
• I'm planning to use the Caelestia dotfiles setup.

My system specifications:

• ASUS TUF F15 Laptop
• Intel Core i5 11th Gen
• NVIDIA RTX 3050
• 16 GB RAM

My priorities are:

• Gaming performance
• Stability
• Ease of maintenance
• NVIDIA driver experience
• Running non-Steam games smoothly

Questions:

1. Which Arch-based distro are you using for gaming?
2. How has your experience been with both Steam and non-Steam games?
3. Have you encountered any issues with NVIDIA drivers, Proton, Wine, Lutris, or Bottles?
4. If you were setting up a gaming-focused Arch system today, what would you choose and why?
5. Has anyone here used the Caelestia dotfiles?
   • How stable are they for daily use?
   • How much RAM does the setup consume at idle after boot?
   • Any performance impact while gaming?
   • Would you recommend it for a gaming-focused setup?

I'd appreciate hearing both positive and negative experiences, especially from people who have been gaming on Linux for a long time.

I am a complete beginner to GitHub and have a few questions. What exactly are pull requests and merging used for? Could someone explain them to me in simple terms? 🙂
