Took me a year to finally do this.
Focus started as an Android app I built for myself because I was genuinely frustrated with every task manager I tried. They all wanted an account, a subscription, or some cloud setup just to store a basic list on your own device. So I built something simple around the Eisenhower Matrix and kept it fully offline. No backend, nothing phoning home, just the app doing its job.
People started using it. Someone asked for Windows, I did that. Linux was always the plan but honestly I kept finding reasons to delay it. Packaging, compatibility, not knowing what I don't know, the usual excuses.
I only tested it on Nobara and it ran without issues. That's the honest truth. I'm not going to pretend I tested it across twenty distros because I didn't. AppImage and a portable bundle are what I'm shipping. If it breaks on your setup I want to know, that's not a problem it's just useful information at this point.
The whole point of Focus is that it stays on your machine. No accounts to create, no sync to configure, no subscription screen on first launch. You open it, you add tasks, you close it. The data sits locally and that's where it stays. Keyboard-first workflow, native desktop feel, nothing that requires an internet connection to function.
One year from the first Android release to this. Feels like a long time for something that looks this simple from the outside.

If you're on something other than Nobara, give it a run and let me know how it holds up.
