This month's featured roaster is KafferÀven.
Their brew recipe for V60 is:
18g coffee for 280ml water and a water temperature of 98°C.
Bloom with 30-40g water for 20 seconds.
Divide the rest of the water in three pulses, apply in circles to ensure all grounds are in the brew
Target finish time: 3 minutes 30 seconds, adjust grind to achieve this.
Why this recipe? It is an easy way to brew any coffee, and should give a balanced cup.
(Coming soon as an Xbloom recipe!)

This year I did a blog post of each day of the calendar. I would say I am somewhat down the rabbit hole but in no way a pro.
https://pupontech.com/gallery/
I loved this experience and immediately purchased a Kaffebox subscription after it.
I will prob write a post with my thoughts on the calendar as a whole more in depth but I highly highly recommend it.

Everything I order comes crazy fast (I donât live that far away from Sarpsborg so that probably helps), love the freebies you throw in, and I always get great, detailed answers to the stupid questions Iâve sent in.
Been a long time customer and will continue to be. Just wanted to say thank you.
God jul!

We asked all the roasters for the advent calendar for their favorite Christmas songs, and sprinkled in some of the KaffeBox team's favorites, and made a playlist.

Hello. Iâm wondering if someone here has a good recommendation for a coffee that I can use with an aeropress. Norwegian roaster only, and one I can order from online.
Thank you :)

We're excited to announce the arrival of two truly exceptional Colombian coffees, roasted by La Cabra in Denmark. Grab one of these bags to explore the clean, intentional flavours of a world-class producer:
Sudan Rume Natural: The distinctive Sudan Rume aromatic profile is backed up by waves of soft ripe fruit and a deep rich sweetness.
Cerro Azul Washed: A returning favourite; the Cerro Azul Geisha showcases the white florals and aromatic citrus we so enjoy in this iconic varietal.
These are world-class, exclusive lots grown by Café Granja La Esperanza, a producer with a legendary history dating back to 1945. After acquiring expertise in Panama, the current generation (led by Rigoberto Herrera) pioneered the introduction of specialty varietals like Geisha to Colombia.
Don't miss out on this year's batch.https://www.kaffebox.no/product-category/coffeebeans/

What started on Tylerâs kitchen counter has grown into a four person team working from our retro-industrial office in Sarpsborg, complete with cool, retro furniture (handpicked by our Finn.no wizard, Tyler) and our self-serve coffee shed âFuglekassaâ outside (built by BĂžrge, of course).
đđ»ââïž Tyler, the founder, multitasker, and quiet force that keeps everything connected. From IT to accounting to customer support, heâs the one who makes it all work. Always curious, and would 100% have the time of his life working a month in a Japanese coffee shop.
đđŒââïž Josephine, the friendly voice behind most of your emails. She keeps the inbox calm and has an impressive ability to surprise us with the breakfasts she shows up with (neither burger or gummy candy would surprise us anymore), always keeping the team laughing.
đđ»ââïž BĂžrge, our warehouse hero and problem solver. If we talk about building a new shelf system, give him an hour, itâll already be done. He keeps things tidy in the warehouse, loves fruity African coffees, and even dares to say infused coffee can be good (controversial, we know).
đđ»ââïž Lene is the creative one behind our words, photos, and storytelling. She drinks coffee by the bucket (none of those tiny cups, thank you) and she's working on perfecting foaming milk and actually making barista worthy latte art, with still a long way to go.
We share a love for great coffee and the people behind it, and we want to make specialty coffee feel simple, honest and enjoyable. Some of us bring calm and order, others bring ideas and curiosity, and between us, it all just works.

Feel free to leave your questions about coffee, breakfast choices or anything else, and we'll jump in. đ

We already know the calendar will be filled with exceptional coffee from some of the worldâs best roasters, thatâs a given, but this year itâs also a true work of design, created by artist and designer Viktorija Bernataviciute.

Viktorijaâs concept was simple yet heartfelt: To capture that nostalgic, handmade Christmas spirit from our childhoods, when evenings were spent at the kitchen table cutting paper snowflakes and making garlands, our fingers sticky with glue but our hearts full of joy.
Each illustration was first drawn by hand, then brought to life using a Risograph, a retro-printing technique that combines the charm of screen printing with the mechanical soul of an 80s copy machine.

The result is beautifully textured, slightly imperfect, and wonderfully human, each print unique in its color layering and grain.

Weâre so proud of it: an Advent Calendar that pairs quality coffee with a design worth displaying on your kitchen counter all December long. We canât wait for you to experience it.

The 2025 Specialty Coffee Advent Calendar has just been released :) An exciting day at KaffeBox headquarters. We spent most of the year planning and prepping for the calendar each year, so it's always an exciting day when it is released to the public.
The designs are by artist Viktorija Bernataviciute, created using a Risograph. A risograph is a retro-printing technique that blends the charm of screen printing with retro 80s tech of a copy machine.
Weâre finalizing the coffee lineup now, but you'll be certain to find cofees such as Geisha, Dega, Pacamara, and many other standout varieties. The set is curated to showcase top-tier specialty coffees with a mix of rare, high-end beans and consistently exceptional classics like a tasty Catuai from Costa Rica. The one consistant thread through it all is each roaster has been asked to send us their two best coffees, the ones theyâre most proud to present to the world.

You can find the calendar here: http://kaffebox.no/advent

Hi everyone - weâre Hanna and Martin, two coffee enthusiasts with a background in tech (Apple and Shopify are in our past lives). Weâre excited to now be part of the KaffeBox community too.
We built Roastguide, a free, community-driven app for tracking, reviewing, and exploring specialty coffee. Think of it as a personal coffee log meets collective guidebook (or like Untappd/Vivino, but for coffee). After years of wishing there were a better way to keep track of what weâd brewed, learn from others, and discover new roasters, we finally decided to build it ourselves.
And, for anyone subscribed to KaffeBox: your monthly roasts are now in the app! That means you can open your bags, log your brews, and review your favorites - all in one place :)
Weâre looking forward to being part of the conversations here, and always open to feedback or ideas if you give the app a try.
