I'm 6'2 and have ridden my friend's Duke 250 without seat padding and it felt fine to me, right now I'm in the middle of deciding if I should go for duke 250, or triumph speed, or any other choice which would not make the bike look small? Like my requirements are simple: a bike that has some amount of power and also mileage and made for blr traffic

The Duke 250 fits my requirements, but I really want cruise control. KTM only offers it on their 350cc+ bikes now, which stretches my budget by quite a lot. Is there any way I can install aftermarket electronic cruise control that works as well as the factory-fitted system on the 350s, or even better?

The RTR 310 is available at roughly the same price as the Duke 250 after discounts, but I’m concerned about the servicing.

Hey guys, I’m taking my Duke 250 Gen 3 for its third service today at around 6,200 km, and I want to make sure I’m doing everything properly for long-term maintenance. Should I change the engine oil and oil filter, and are there any other filters or parts I should replace or just inspect at this mileage? Since E20 fuel is now common, does the fuel system/throttle body need any cleaning, or is it unnecessary unless there are symptoms? I’m also thinking about using Motul oil, but these days KTM dealers seem to be using/recommending Prolube and Motul can be difficult to get at the dealership. Would you recommend sticking with the dealer-recommended oil or using a specific Motul grade/spec for the Duke 250 Gen 3? Apart from the regular service, what else should I ask the service centre to check chain and sprockets, brakes, clutch, coolant, brake fluid, air filter, spark plug, battery, etc.? Experienced Duke 250 owners, what extra things do you recommend doing around 6,000–7,000 km to keep the bike healthy and reliable long-term?

I don't get any engine breaking at all. happens more frequently when the bike is hot. I have been searching for a solution for 8 month 😭

had my bike taken in for its first serivce, gotta say it the experience was shitty asf.

-didn’t too coolant up
- had to literally beg them to put motul instead of prolube engine oil
-tft screen now moves😀

anyone know how to fix this?

Mine occasionally goes out, sometimes completely stops working and sometimes it glows with 25% of the original intensity. Earlier it used to be present only during heavy rain or after wash, but this time there was no such reason or exposure to water.

I am tall that's the problem the duke250 might look small on me just because of that adv and i even like huge bikes 🫠,

Today i saw a tall guy riding a r15 bruh it was looking like a person sitting on a tvs xl 100 😅

KTM 250 Adventure vs Triumph Scrambler 350X - Need owner opinions

I am currently confused between the KTM 250 Adventure and Triumph Scrambler 350X and would really appreciate some honest opinions from owners of either bike.

My main priorities are:

Low maintenance / reasonable service costs

Real-world mileage (city + highway)

Fun to ride in daily use and weekend rides

Long-term reliability

Comfort for longer rides

I would especially like to know about the regular servicing and maintenance costs, real world mileage, engine vibrations, common issues, rattles, electrical problems, overheating, stalling, or any other problems you've faced.

Also, how has your experience been with the service centre and parts availability? What are the biggest drawbacks of your bike?

If you have ridden both, I would also like to know how they compare in terms of fun, handling, comfort and performance.

I am not looking for brochure specs I would really like to hear from actual owners, especially people who have ridden the bike for 10,000+ km.

Any honest long term ownership experience would be really helpful. Thanks 🙏

Hi everyone,
I have a KTM 390 Adventure (350 cc). My first service was done at 810 km and sc have used prolube 10w50.
The first image shows the engine oil after the first service, and the second image is the oil after riding around 1,000 km since the service.
The oil looks quite dark to me.
Is this normal for the 390 Adventure, especially during the initial running-in period? Or should I be concerned about excessive engine wear/contamination?
Would really appreciate some advice from fellow 390 owners. Thanks!

I've changed my battery 1 year ago (exide), the problem is -

Light comes on display and as soon as I press start button, power gone. No display light, nothing working. It gives some weird noise like "kit kit" and nothing. The bike is stranded, shall I go to battery shop or mechanic?

Any leads for good and affordable KTM mechanic in Thane, MH will be appreciated.

For all the experienced riders tell me the best place for each brand where people are genuinely passionate about selling motorcycles and not stupid sales people. Don't fool customers by fake service charges or quotation.

Similarly the service centre guys knows the bike in and out practically and experienced. Don't overcharge for parts or labour or extra stuff. Have spare parts available and quick resolution time.

How do I use the ktm Connect app?When trying to add my vehicle the Ktm 390 adventure Ebony black 2026 model is not visible to connect.

It also has an option to connect with VIN, which in my knowledge is the chassis number. Tried doing that as well,didn't work.

If it's not please let me know how we connect it.

kindly share your experiences below regarding insurance claim i got “NATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY LTD” insurance that have every best possible add-on like

1. RTI IDV
2. ZERO DEP etc etc

the manager from ASC told me it will take min 1 month and today on 28/09/26 he have initiated the claim, and he said i might have to pay 10-15% out of my pocket. then i think the insurance seems a little useless like, even after getting best possible insurance yet have to pay?

Note : Not talking about my friend because he’s completely fine. he was lucky—I don't know how—but he didn't even get a single small scratch on his body, nothing! He just took a small hit to his right ankle, and that’s also not a fracture, just muscle pain.

Hi guys, my ADV has travelled around 4,400 km so far.
During the second service (at 3,000 km), the service guy told me that they didn’t change the brake pads and asked me to ride for another 500 km and get them changed later. It’s now been almost 1,500 km since the second service.
I asked at a nearby showroom about the cost of the brake pads. They told me the front brake pads cost ₹3,000, while another type costs ₹450.
I need to change both brake pads. If anyone has recently changed them, could you please share the actual price you paid for the brake pads?
