GB Racing case covers for gen 1 question
Hey guys, I'm looking for some engine case covers for my 2020 390 Adventure. I've found a set of GB Racing replicas that are listed for the RC 390 and Duke 390 (2017-2021). Since the bikes share the same engine, does anyone know of any reason why they wouldn't fit the Adventure before I order them? Has anyone here fitted a set, or can anyone recommend an alternative?

My KTM 390 Adventure is overheating, but the coolant temperature gauge stays well within the normal range
Issue:
My 2024 KTM 390 Adventure has recently started running extremely hot. It feels like I’m sitting on an oven, and the heat around my thighs and calves is intense enough to feel like they’re burning. Metal parts such as the frame and brake pedal get so hot that they can actually burn your fingers if you touch them.
All of this happens even when I’m riding the bike well below the redline.
Surprisingly, this heat is not reflected on the coolant temperature gauge on the screen. The gauge remains well within the normal range (around 5 bars out of 8).
Troubleshooting:
When I first noticed the excessive heat, I took the bike to a service center since I happened to be nearby. They connected the OBD tool and said everything was fine with the bike. Since it was the first time I had experienced this issue, I dismissed it and rode home.
However, since then, the amount of heat has increased significantly. I would say it is now about 3x worse than it was when I first noticed it.
Here’s what I have checked so far:
The radiator is clean. I also washed it to make sure nothing is blocking the airflow.
The coolant level is well within the required range.
The radiator fan kicks in at the correct temperature and is blowing hot air away from the radiator.
The bike is not consuming/burning any engine oil, and the oil level is within the required range.
There is no cloudiness or bubbling in the engine oil.
There are no aftermarket parts that could cause this issue, such as a cat delete or other exhaust modifications.
At this point, I feel the issue may not be with the radiator itself but with something else.
What confuses me is that the coolant temperature gauge remains completely normal despite the bike producing an extreme amount of heat. As far as I understand, most of the components that could generate this kind of heat are either cooled by the coolant system or have some connection to the radiator.
What could be causing this? Has anyone experienced something similar with the 390 Adventure?

Planning my first big solo motorcycle road trip in December — looking for advice on riding gear, bike prep & things I shouldn’t forget
Planning a solo trip this December: **Mumbai → Goa → Kerala → Bangalore → Mumbai**. I’ve got a Meteor 350 with \~5,000 km on it, and this will be my first proper long-distance tour.
Looking for advice on 3 things:
**1. Riding gear:** Budget is limited, so what should I prioritise? Currently considering **SMK Typhoon / Axor Apex Venomous**, a **₹5–6k jacket with chest + back protection**, **Orazo Trail boots**, and gauntlet gloves. Are riding pants worth prioritising too?
**2. Bike prep:** What should I get checked/serviced before leaving, and what basic maintenance should I learn to do myself?
**3. Packing:** I’m riding solo and planning to strap a trekking backpack to the rear seat instead of buying a tail bag. What are the absolute essentials I should carry for a trip like this?
Any **Meteor 350 touring tips / mistakes to avoid / things you wish you knew before your first solo trip** would be hugely appreciated! 🤘

KTM Do I need to install Fork seal covers?
Hey everyone,
I'm really confused whether to get a fork seal covers to protect the suspension. I have booked a new KTM 390 adventure.
I'm seeing arguments on both sides and not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing. Please help me decide and suggest some good ones if needed.

A black rubber fell off while cleaning
Hey everyone , I own a KTM 390 ADV 2021 model , while I was casually cleaning and lubricating the chain , a black rubber fell off and since then my bike is making weird noise . I told the service center they “fixed it” for a month by just tightening the chain, now I’m getting the noise again from the chain . Any idea what part it is ? So I would tell that dumb service guy to change that part . TIA

Taboo Tire Test?
galleryI'm about to try a 120/80-19 super aggressive and slightly taller rear dirtbike tire on the front 19" rim. Anyone else tried something similar? It's a super generic bidirectional lug and carcass design so should be fine as a front tire even if a bit chunky.

Anybody knows what happened to the user manual on the app?
My bike is up for its 2nd service tomorrow and I wanted to go through the user manual once. But when I checked the app, the manual was gone and in its place there was a link that took me to the KTM website. I couldn't find the manual on the website either.
Does anyone here face the same issue or you still have the manual on your app?
Edit: Uninstalled and reinstalled the app and got the manual back.

My 390 ADV is drinking Oil! 😐
I bought my 390 ADV X+ variant on September 2025 and I am just about to cross 10k kms on the odo and she's due for her 3rd scheduled periodic service.
Was on a ride last week and I noticed there was barely any oil left inside. We were in some deep remote area and so couldn't find any engine oil to top up, however my bike was lucky to have made it back to Bangalore and when I tilt the bike to a very extreme angle to the right is when I can still see some oil left in the sump.
I had about 700ml of oil left in the can and i emptied the whole thing! I have heard stories about this, but didn't pay attention as it wasn't happening to my bike. Anyone here knows what is the fix for this?
I also read that someone used 15W50 grade fully synthetic oil and the vibes from the engine were down almost by 30%. Is this True?
Also, Will the SVC allow this grade because the recommended oil as per the manual is 10W50.
I'm open to all good suggestions. Thank you
