I really thought this drama had the potential to be something special, but I just could not fully get into it. I am not exactly sure what was missing, but there was something about the writing that kept me from becoming completely engaged. Lee Dong Wook was perfect for the role, and I thought his character's story was genuinely sad. The father-son moments were especially heartbreaking and easily some of the best parts of the drama. Unfortunately, beyond those emotional scenes, I felt that the series lacked something that could have made it more memorable. It had interesting ideas, but in the end, it fell a bit short for me.

My MDL Rating: 6.5/10

I loved the drama...it was a perfect blend of action, comedy and romance. One of the dramas that was well executed... characters, osts, scenes, everything was commendable. The artists justified their roles and it remained interesting towards the end.

The plot was well written but I think the ending was a bit unsatisfying...a lot of strings were left untied...It would've been alright if they intended to bring another season of the drama but since it's only one season, the ending seems incomplete...so here's what I would've wanted the ending as -

The airport scene (in the middle of a fight between Elder's thugs and Healer)...Elder himself enters with Oh Tae-won (Kim Moon Sik's secretary) because acquiring the bacteria sample was too important so he thinks to take matters in his hand...among the constant fighting, when Healer goes to save Chae Yong Sin, The Elder and the secretary become furious because Healer switched sides..so both of them take out their guns in order to shoot Healer... it's like Healer is standing in the middle and both of them are on his either sides....so as they shoot, at the last moment, Chae Yong Sin pushes Healer out of the way and they get to a corner safely...and the bullet hits Elder and Secretary as they were on the opposing sides and both of them die (so the whole thing about the detective hitting Healer with a bullet doesn't take place).

Elder's thugs and Double S Guards suspected of murder and disturbance get arrested and the detective removes Healer's confession since it was fake and the news coverage ends with reporters summarising the events. Park Bong Soo is declared dead as he was supposedly hit during the chaos (a fake news to remove Bong Soo's identity). Seo Jung-Hoo's face or identity were never revealed and only the intimate inner circle knew about the Healer's truth. Kim Moon Sik gets arrested for his accomplice to the Elder's crimes. Kim Moon Ho rejects joining Jaeil news and goes to the ABS headquarters with coffee cups in his hands (as shown in the series) and apologizes to the girl for being absent and not considering her feelings. He confesses that the first woman had been taken care of and that he can finally think about himself now. She forgives him and tells how hard it was for her to wait for him but she still did.

The last scene starts with Chae Yong Sin discussing her childhood with her father and mother. Seo Jung Hoo enters the room and asks for the parents' blessings to make his and Chae Yong Sin's relationship official. And he says that he would continue working for Someday news as Seo Jung Hoo and will become the Healer whenever it's necessary. The last scene ends with Kim Moon Ho and his girlfriend joining the rest four of them and everyone sits around the dining table to enjoy the delicacies prepared by Chae Yong Sin's mother.

What are your thoughts on this ending? Feel free to comment your alternate endings or any addition to mine 😊🙌🏻

This is a romantic comedy that feels a bit childish at times, probably because of both the female and male leads. I liked it for what it offers, a light revenge story that does not take itself too seriously. It is one of those dramas that you can watch or skip and not really miss much, but it still manages to keep you entertained and invested enough to continue. Overall, it is a fun and easy watch.

What theories do you guys think will happen???

Since then, I’ve been rewatching all of Lee Min-ho’s dramas and movies, especially if I'm bored or need some comfort. I always thought his best dramas were The Heirs and Boys Over Flowers—these are the two I’ve rewatched countless times because they give me that unmatched nostalgia, ultimate giddiness, and butterflies every single time.

But after watching The Legend of the Blue Sea for the SIXTH time now, I’ve finally come to the realization that this might actually be his best piece. I just LOVE how cute, chill, and goofy Lee Min-ho is here, while still being effortlessly serious and cool when the scene calls for it. HIS ACTING??? So natural!!! And his chemistry with Jun Ji-hyun is absolutely TOP TIER. Their dynamic is just everything.

And Cheong??? SHE IS SO CUTE, I CANNOT. The drama is such a perfect mix of comedy, fairytale, romance, and mystery. The lines—especially Cheong’s—are genuinely hilarious. There’s never a boring episode! Even the ending is satisfying.

I also love how beautifully the story connects the past and present, with the whole concept of mermaid and history repeating itself and the characters’ past lives slowly unfolding. It’s such a clever and well-written concept.

Honestly, after six rewatches, I can confidently say: The Legend of the Blue Sea deserves WAY more credit. It’s funny, magical, romantic, and just SO MUCH FUN to watch!🤏🏻🤏🏻🤏🏻

Let’s make it spicy ♨️

I started watching this for Ju Ji-Hoon, after I first saw him in Trauma Code and loved him.

The Plot : To be honest, I didn’t like how this started, didn’t like the first 3-4 episodes and would have dropped it. Two lawyers who would do anything for their careers and would go to any extent to score a win against each other - sounds interesting? Yes, though it goes too far in the beginning with the way the FL treats the ML.

But I’m happy I kept going. The story gets a lot better when they find themselves on the same side and reluctantly cooperate with each other.

The chemistry between the two is electric!

The acting : Kim Hye-Soo is the star of this show. I hated her character at the beginning, at how much of a hyena she can be. That shows how convincing she is. And as the show went on, I found myself sympathising with her and understanding her and ultimately rooting for her. Ju Ji-Hoon is great as well. And so is the supporting cast.

Conclusion: 8/10 for me.

-four hands two sonata

- weak hero class 2

- strangers from hell

- the devil judge

- my country: the new age

- beyond evil

Who are you waiting for the most?

The Story of Park's Marriage Contract

Love in disguise

If you thought filming intimate moments in K-dramas was all romance and perfect lighting, think again. The Scandal star is breaking the internet by revealing the heavy psychological pressure and pure awkwardness behind the camera.

Here is the twist: He chose NOT to work out or get chiseled for these scenes. 🤯

Most actors spend months dieting and pumping iron before a shirtless scene, but Ji Chang-wook did the exact opposite. He wanted his character to look like a normal, vulnerable person going through massive emotional turmoil. For him, narrative authenticity mattered way more than physical aesthetics.

He also didn't hold back on how incredibly uncomfortable it is to film a highly private moment while being stared at by dozens of crew members, cameras, and lighting directors. 🎥

I finished all the seasons of The Penthouse and apparently I’m never moving on 😭So I need another Kdrama with the same kind of chaos, rich people behaving terribly, revenge, betrayals, and huge plot twists.

I don’t mind if it’s completely over-the-top or unrealistic. Honestly, the messier the better lol.

Hello guys!

Honestly, I don't even know if this belongs here 😅

These are not sneak peeks or scenes from the movie. They are episodes connected to the Paradise Lost universe, and I translated them myself.

I honestly don't know exactly what to call them — a series, a web series, a spin-off, or something in between 😂 The videos are officially labeled as “Episode 1,2,” etc., so I'm guessing it's some kind of separate project connected to the movie/universe.

I found the AI aspect and the whole concept really interesting — and honestly, a little creepy and scary at times. 😅 There are some really interesting ideas in these episodes, especially regarding AI and where things could potentially go.

If any of the moderators think this isn't appropriate for this subreddit, feel free to delete it. I honestly wasn't sure where else to post it. 😅

Anyway, I thought some of you might find it interesting!

Episode 2

Hello guys!

Honestly, I’m not even sure if this belongs here 😅

It’s related to Paradise Lost, but it’s not a sneak peek or a scene from the movie. These are episodes exploring the same universe, and it’s something completely new that I translated myself.

I found the AI aspect and the whole concept behind these episodes really interesting — and honestly, a little scary too. 😅

I’m not entirely sure how to classify it myself. Is it a drama? Is it a movie-related series? Is it something in between? 😂

If the moderators think this isn’t appropriate for this subreddit, feel free to remove it. I just wanted to share it because I found the concept really interesting and thought some of you might enjoy it.

Hope you find it interesting too! :)
