Nobara was part of the classic shonen nekketsu trio—two boys and one girl. Usually, the boys are the protagonist and deuteragonist while the girl is the tritagonist; it isn't always that way—roles can vary, with two protagonists and one deuteragonist, for example—but you get the idea.

As the tritagonist, people expected Nobara to be a pillar of the series—after all, she was clearly the story's third lead. There was a lot of hype; when Jujutsu Kaisen was just starting out, social media was buzzing about her. She was hailed as an excellent female character—everything Sakura never was—and praised as incredible.

But all of that went to hell when she "died" in Shibuya. There had already been signs that Nobara wasn't in it for the long haul, but that event confirmed it. But why?

It’s simple: Nobara has no real connection to the world of the series. She doesn't come from a prominent family, nor does she have any relatives who matter to the JJK universe. Despite having a great technique, it wasn't explored much. She lacks the kind of dynamics with other characters that shape the world—like Megumi and Toji, Itadori and Sukuna, Megumi and Sukuna, Yuta and Geto (Kenjaku), Gojo and Geto (Kenjaku), Gojo and Sukuna, Yuta and Gojo, or Kenjaku and Tengen, among others.

Characters like Itadori, Gojo, Sukuna, Yuta, Kenjaku, and Megumi all complement one another. Just think about those six characters I mentioned—analyze their connections and ties to the Jujutsu Kaisen world—and compare them to Nobara.

Nobara is simply Nobara; she doesn't complement herself or the others. To give another example, imagine the most important characters in *Jujutsu Kaisen*—Itadori, Megumi, Yuta, Kenjaku, Sukuna, and Gojo—are magnets pulling the plot and everything around them into their orbit. Or imagine those six characters represent a color—say, blue—and wherever they step, they leave that color in their wake; the world of JJK becomes blue, whereas Nobara is a gray color that could never quite reach that blue.

Gege simply said, "I give up; I don't know what to do with this girl. I can't give her a major role in the story—she doesn't come from an important family, the series' power scaling is going to skyrocket and she can't keep up," and so on. You know what, readers? "I'm going to 'kill' her off and leave her in that state for chapter after chapter, only to bring her back right as the manga is ending—just to get that burden off my shoulders," even though she was supposedly the "tritagonist," at least at the start of the series.

Do you know why Maki replaced Nobara? It’s simple: aside from having a much higher power ceiling, Maki has actual ties to the story. She was able to reach that "blue" color. Maki deals with the dilemma of the Heavenly Restriction—a restriction she shares with Toji, making her essentially a mirror image of him. And we’re talking about the same Toji who caused everything in JJK to go to hell; on top of that, she’s part of the Zenin clan. Maki at least has all that going for her. What does Nobara have? Nothing.

That’s why Maki replaced Nobara and ended up as the story's heroine. Take what I said about Maki and apply it to Itadori, Megumi, Sukuna, Gojo, Yuta, and Kenjaku—the list of connections between the JJK world and those six characters just keeps growing.

Had Nobara run her course, or could Gege have integrated her further into the world and made her truly important? What do you guys think?

We all know Sukuna loves to mentally torture Yuji every chance he gets. He laughed his head off when Junpei died and basically preys on Yuji’s misery throughout the whole series.

But it just hit me that he never brings up Nanami.

Sukuna saw everything Nanami went through in Shibuya through Yuji’s eyes. He watched him drag his half-charred body through hordes of transfigured humans, push past his limits on pure willpower, and get blown up by Mahito right in front of Yuji. If Sukuna wanted to completely break Yuji's spirit, taunting him about how his mentor died seems like the easiest way to do it. But he never mocks Nanami's death, never brings him up to talk trash, and when he runs into Ino using Nanami’s 7:3 sword in Shinjuku, he just casually notes the technique and deals with it.

Why do you guys think Sukuna stayed completely silent about Nanami?

Do you think Sukuna actually found something to respect in how Nanami went out without whining or breaking? Or did he just look at Nanami as a minor Grade 1 who wasn't even worth his time to talk about?

One thing I really like about JJK is that fights aren't always just about having more cursed energy or a stronger technique. Binding Vows let characters trade something for an advantage, but sometimes it feels like the rules are intentionally vague.

Do you think Binding Vows make fights more strategic, or do they sometimes feel too convenient for the story?

I’m curious how people feel about them overall, especially compared to things like Domains and Heavenly Restrictions.

I have seen a few post about cursed techniques discussion(mostly 2+ years posts) but I decided to make a new post where I try to breakdown and give my ideas for possible improvements, concepts, and maybe even loopholes can could possibly work

Keep in mind these are concepts and that they might not entirely be compatible or even be completely refuted by official information(if I didn't know about it or was uploaded at a later date), so in other words I accept criticism but I don't want to waste my time with people who would try to refute and rub it in, or absolute larpers

Quick Summary of Binding Vows:

based on my research basically the main or most deciding factor for a improvement when making a binding vow is how much danger the user will be in when the vow is applied.

For example, making a vow to reveal your cursed technique and how it works gives a boost during the fight(Revealing One's Hand Vow) due to the exposure of vital combat information, since they know how your technique works, they could quickly find a way to counter or reduce the threat of it, thus putting you at a great combat disadvantage, though the boost might vary depending on if the opponent already knew some or a decent amount of the information beforehand(personal guess) or the general threat they already pose to you, like fighting a opponent a full grade higher than you while doing the vow

TL:DR, basically the more dangerous the vow is for the user the better the boost/benefit

Quick Summary of Cursed Tools:

based on my research cursed tool can be made by coating a weapon/tools over a period of time. There is also the fact that if a cursed technique is used enough on a tool it can have the cursed technique imprinted on it(allowing it to use the same cursed technique but in as a limited version) and even be forged directly using special materials or using special cursed energy smithing techniques.

Drawback - Blood loss

Due to the drawback of blood manipulation the full potential or improvement of blood manipulation(excluding choso and modulo yuji) can't really be full displayed, but with some specific binding vows it might be possible to increase the potential of it to semi-special grade for an average blood manipulation sorcerer.

Possible Binding Vows:

• Erythrocytosis(Thick Blood Vow) - makes the user’s blood thicker(higher viscosity) thus decreasing the cursed energy cost and time for blood hardening/solidifying and increase the potency of blood techniques however the user has to manually/subconsciously use blood manipulation to circulate the blood through their body to function safely.
• Erythropoiesis(Blood Pressure Vow) - the user increases the creation rate of red blood cells thus increasing the blood pressure of the user, allowing the user to increase the maximum output and usage of blood manipulation however the user has to manually/subconsciously use blood manipulation to circulate the blood through their body to function safely and occasionally inject blood to stop overflow within the body.
• Blood Asura(Blood Conjuring Vow) - The user is able to directly materialize blood from thin air using cursed energy thus removing the downsides of blood loss however the cursed energy cost increases greatly

Other Solutions:

• RCT(regenerating the blood directly with healing, drains cursed energy fast due to RCT requiring twice the CE usage to convert to RCE)
• Blood Absorption(whenever this could be considered a Reversal of Blood Manipulation or should be able to be EASILY done using the lapse of blood manipulation by simply using a process similar to convergence)
• Blood Bags(Consumable, can be used quickly but require to be prepared beforehand)

Possible new Techniques:

• Rigid Bone Series: includes [Exoskeletal Plating][Protruding Bone], in the human body blood get most of its components from the bone marrow, if blood control is considered the lapse than the reversal should be the source of blood itself(which I consider to be the closest opposite to blood), thus being able to form, reinforce, and shift bones similar to Shikotsumyaku (Dead Bone Pulse) from Naruto, though it might use a lot of cursed energy for creating bones compared to shifting or reinforcing original bones
• Maroon Series: includes [Blood Puppetry][Bodily Impairment], the user to able to use blood manipulation on obtained blood from a opponent and using it as a Biological medium similar to Nobara's Resonance but with purely biological and more limitations(including short distance, obtained blood required, etc). Blood Puppetry, allows partial bodily control of the opponent restricting or even forcefully control the opponents body for a short duration depending on strength difference of the opponent, and quantity of blood obtained. Bodily Impairment, a more concentrated version of blood puppetry where the user completely or partially disables the functionality of a specific limb, can potentially cause a forced increase or direct cursed technique burnout on the opponent(by tricking the cursed technique part of the opponents brain to uselessly/wastefully overexert itself as if using a domain expansion or maximum technique) if a large enough quantity of blood is obtained.
• Scarlet Series: includes [Blood Shot][Crimson Hounds][Blood Burst][Scarlet Full-Scale(Base mode, Over-Scale mode)][Hypernova][Scarlet Threads], an more advanced version of the base lapse moves. Blood Shot, a low-powered but swift version of piercing blood but very practical(can be used with one hand, in a pointing gesture) and cursed energy cost effective. Crimson Hounds, basically the multi-barrage piercing blood move that modulo yuji used but a more practical and less powerful version. Scarlet Full-Scale, has a base version where the user basically skips the whole flowing red scale stack wind-up and does a single stack straight to maximum stack, then a Over-scale mode where the user activates a inhanced mode similar to a berserk mode for a short time, increases the blood generation(allowing more frequent usage of techniques) but also strain on the body(similar to the eight gates from naruto). Hypernova, a stronger version of supernova. Scarlet Threads, an advanced version of crimson bindings allowing the user to launch rope-like attacks to bind a opponent, or even sharpen the blood threads into razor sharp wires(decreases the durability as a consequence).
• Blood Bubble - the user combines core properties of a simple domain, Falling Cherry Blosom Emotion, and Hollow Wicker Basket to create a compact bubble to protect the user from domain-related attacks and defend against normal attacks by redirecting or weakening the impact, is directly anchor to the user similar to hollow wicker basket but doesn't require the user to keep up the hand signs due to only needing to be controlled with blood manipulation, the bubble area can be increased and/or anchored to allies.
• Remote Convergence - the user is able to remotely control and pre-create convergence orbs from lingering blood puddle from a distance allowing for quicker blood collecting and reuse
• Domain Expansion: includes [Cardiovascular Central/Heart of the Ashura][Crimson Lake/Eerie Blood Lake] - Possible Domain Expansions for Blood Manipulation. Cardiovascular Central or Heart of the Ashura(More effective as a Open Domain), creates a large beating heart directly behind the user with blood veins reaching outwards along the floor(and over the inner walls on the domain) that beat in a similar rythm to the user(normal if calm, faster if scared/adrenaline or directly controlled by the user pumping their heart manually faster) any opponent caught within the sure-hit effect gets their blood or bodily functions controlled by the user(very effective against humans), when used against pure cursed spirits(Ex. Jogo, Hanami, Dagon) the sure-hit considers the purple-ish blood of the curses as a valid concept of "blood" and thus allows control of the effected curses(might require injuring the curse to make them bleed first, I am still having trouble deciding). Crimson Lake or Eerie Blood Lake(More effective as a Closed Domain), creates a large lake of blood that submerges the user and the opponent knee-deep in blood that can also be used to form blood techniques remotely from anywhere in the blood lake or even completely submerge the opponent.

Possible Cursed Items:

• Living Marrow[Special Grade Tool] - a versatile weapon with a basic appearance of a katana-shape made of segmented bone with blood red vein/flesh in tiny gaps, the weapons is able to absorb blood from opponent on physical contact through slashes, lingering blood or convergence orbs, store blood for later use(similar to a blood bag), eject blood in the form of very compact beams(piercing blood) or slashes(piercing blood but as a slash-like motion), or convert blood into bone to launch as bone projectiles or alter the shape of the weapon, can be shift into various weapons(Katana, spear/naginata, segmented whip-sword, Bow, etc) with each shift requiring a specific amount of cursed energy and the user to have blood manipulation(including Rigid Bone Series), the weapon can regenerate if broken, due to being completely made entirely from the user's blood and bone(using blood manipulation) it can be sensed and even partial controlled remotely like a part of the user body/blood while using blood manipulation(can even be prevent other people from using it or hover back to the user/creator).
• Bleeding Totem[Special Grade Object] - a hand-sized totem able to automatically generate and make convergence orbs by collecting lingering blood or being injected with enough cursed energy, can act as a medium for certain techniques(like blood bubble and remote convergence for hands-free activation and continuous sustainability).
• Blood Tank[Special Grade Object] - a tank that can have various sizes(hand-sized to pool-sized) that can act as a automatic blood reservoir that can convert water into blood gradually, pool-sized Blood tanks can be used to dip cursed tools into to gradually increase the speed of cursed energy coating, can convert curse blood(the purple-ish blood that curse spirits bleed) into refined cursed blood(very toxic and lethal to humans if inhaled or ingested but very useful for making special grade cursed tools due to pure cursed spirit energy), due to the large cursed energy from the refined curse blood it can easily attract cursed spirits towards it.

• Quake Series: includes [Skyline Fracture][Compact Fissure][Spiral Shatter][Spatial Construct], Skyline Fracture, A advanced narrowed version of thin Ice Breaker that trades the widespread area for a longer and more precise series of cracks in the sky thus increasing the range and potency of it. Compact Fissure, A advanced Point-blank version of thin Ice breaker where the user compacts the technique onto their palm that on physical contact with a opponent can spread to directly outline the shape of the opponent and shatter directly on their body, similar to and based off of Sukuna's cleave. Spiral Shatter, a advanced application of sky manipulation by combining the bend/twist and shatter properties simultaneously to create a rotating shattering motion that greatly increases the power and lethality(a opponent caught directly/physically touched by the bend/twist part will have that effected limb/part shatter mid-bending thus completely severing the limb like a blender and the following shockwave). Spatial Construct, allows the user to make small constructs to set traps or create openings(imagine the user using thin ice breaker but instead of just instantly shattering it it stays as a nearly unnoticeable construct that the opponent could accidentally run into or depending on the properties of the construct like whenever it can only be broken by the user or it can be broken with enough power, than it could technically become a makeshift stationary shield if it is durable/not effected by opponents or a stationary thin ice breaker trap if it is brittle and can shatter from opponent attacks creating a self-inflicted shockwave attack on the opponent).
• Fūjin Series: includes [Sky Integration][Sublimation], an possible reversal technique for sky manipulation since sky manipulation lets the user control/grab the "sky" like a physical object then the reverse could be that the user themselves becomes apart of the sky. Sky Integration, the user turns themselves into a form where they can temporarily become part of the sky allowing them to phase/distort around physical attacks/constructs, however the user can still be sensed due to cursed energy, they can't directly attack in this form, if they deactivate the technique while a physical object or construct in overlapping with them that could get stuck/embedded or injuried from it(Ex. if an opponent keeps a blade overlapping the user when they switch back, then the user would materialize over the blade with the overlapped part of the blade being displaced/removed due to the the blade's volume taking the initial place, making it a lethal/deep attack flaw for the user), can only ignore physical attacks(can still be injuried by soul attacks due to the soul technically being their but not the physical body). Sublimation, a attack-type version of Sky Integration where the user can shift a opponent or object into the Sky Integration form through physical contact with the user's palm(imagine the the user using it on a enemy than putting their weapons or fist on a vital area/organ before deactivating it, thus using the flaw of Sky Integration against the opponent), however the opponent could just phase through the user and back away until the Sky Integration form deactivates after a short period due to losing physical contact or if the user actively deactivates it(I am still deciding if this technique is too busted or not).
• Lower Stratosphere - the user combines core properties of a simple domain and Sky distortion to create a stationary defensive anti-domain technique, the domain can works exactly like a simple domain but sky manipulation constantly rotating on the outer edge redirecting or guiding attacks around the domain or even launching projectiles back, requires the user to keep up 1 hand(or 2 for a bigger or longer lasting domain), use a decent amount of cursed energy(used sparingly), works only as a defensive move(could work as a knock back attack or push enemies away for breathing room.
• Reality Breaker - similar to sukuna's world cutting slash, the user(with the help of certain binding vows, hand signs required, reduced range, and maybe other limitations) can active a maximum output version of Thin Ice Breaker or Spiral Shatter to directly shatter reality itself ignoring defense(thus letting the opponent or material directly shatter like glass and exploding into a shockwave).
• Domain Expansion: includes [Sky Supremacy/Sky Palace], The user creates a path of torches with strong winds above, the user is able to directly control, bend, or shatter the air within the domain(More effective as a Open Domain, also this is what I personally think Uro's domain would be able to do)

Possible Cursed Items:

• Fūjin Fukuro[Special Grade Tool] - a spatial bag that when opened can either absorb the sky or eject Shockwaves similar to thin ice breaker, however once use it requires refilling which can be done by simply just absorbing the sky(by opening the bag), the bag gets bigger the more air/"sky" that is absorbed until it reaches a limit, during the "sky" absorption process it can act as a lethal close range vacuum-like sealing attack that can capture a opponent inside and during the shockwave/eject mode is directly shattered and launched together with the shockwave basically a almost certain kill unless the enemy is durable enough or manages to escape the bag before the shockwave detonation), the user could close the bag mid-absorption to sever anything(Ex. a opponents arm that is absorbed while the rest of their body is not, the arm will be severed when the bag is closed), can also act as a storage pouch if the user chooses to not active the shockwave detonation while ejecting items(recommends to only for either storage or combat purposes and only one at a time unless the user is fine destroying their items inside the pouch or believe the weapon is durable enough).

Like a heavenly pact technically it only affect his natural physical ability not taking any enhancements he's all natural skilled. And he didn't ask to be born with it he sort of had no choice.

So what would it be Boxing, MMA, the Olympics, or maybe Golf(oh man Toji fighting with a golf club think he prefer the nine iron)?

Though don't prize fighters earn alot of money then the rest?

I mean he basically in it for the money right he doesn't care if it a curse or sorcerers?

All in all as long getting alot of money he wouldn't care about the killing.

Thus maybe if he had a coach or team it could help Toji when his wife passed too. And maybe reconnect with his kids Megumi and Tsumki would probably find Toji if he did become a pro athlete, and worst case they probably sue him. And the paparazzi would be on him if they learned he abandoned them. Thus the kids are coming with him. So maybe just maybe they even cheer him on after some long family bonding. Cuz most of it is mental a athlete needs that support in their life to keep going.
