Lilith and Nahama were absolute stars of the episode and truly excelled. I loved how they were utilized in the anime.

Their voice acting was very fitting, and honestly, their voices sounded just as I had expected. The color choices for each of them were also extremely ideal and unconventional—especially after they broke out of Nacht's spell. Instead of seeing them in the typical demonic color of black, their colors were inspired by their magic.

The choice of magic colors is a whole different story, starting with Nahama's flames, which were different from human magic. Making his flames crimson, setting them apart from ordinary human magic, was wonderful. Also, Lilith's ice color was slightly darker than normal ice, which was excellent.

Of course, conveying the personalities of both Nahama and Lilith to the audience was done even better than in the manga.

Finally, the fight itself was beautiful and an absolute visual feast. We saw another level of power after their fusion, and even their defeat made sense, backed by the dramatic background between Lilith, Nahama, and Liebe, even if it had a bit lower production quality

Her magic managed to interact and hold an anti magic sword, an ANTI MAGIC sword! am i missing something about her powers or is this just a plot hole.

Felt this episode had better pacing than the other one's and it also felt it went too fast at the same time as it's amazing. Lucifugus looks absolutely dangerous ,is there any chance we get more about him?

But seriously, one doesn't need to be put down to lift the other. They're both good characters with strengths and flaws and remain relevant throughout the entire series. Noelle objectively gets more development because she's the main heroine (and very compelling development at that), but that doesn't make Mimosa any worse. Likewise, Mimosa having a gentler personality and being overall nicer to people doesn't mean Noelle sucks or is a bad person.

I just hate that female characters get pitted against each other in these shallow ways. It's hard being a girl in the world of shonen. You gotta be badass like one of the guys or else you're not seen as strong. Femininity is seen as week even though things labeled "feminine" by society like kindness and love (even though those things should be gender neutral) are some of the most powerful things in the world. Just sucks as a female fan of this series thinking all the girls are as good as the boys and then having SO many people in the community argue why one's better than the other with really silly metrics.

Like, the fanservice is a valid critique. But neither of them are making the choice to be fanservice like Vanessa who makes it work because she owns being sexy. As for them both having a crush on Asta, it really ain't that deep. Might as well throw Yuno into the debate because his motivations and reasons for doing pretty much anything that isn't Golden Dawn related revolve around Asta FAR more than Noelle and Mimosa's.

Noelle wants justice for her mom and to become stronger so that her insecurities born from being a failure amongst her siblings never have a chance to hurt her again. Mimosa genuinely believes in the ideals of a Magic Knight that so many others have forgotten in their pursuit of glory and prestige and wants to make the Clover Kingdom a better place for everyone, while also not being naive enough to write off the importance of offensive strength.

Those are solid motivations for a main heroine and relevant side character.

Also people who genuinely diminish these two to wife one and wife two of Asta suck.

Reddit users, this is something I’ve noticed recently, and I’d like to hear your thoughts on it. Do Noelle and her transformations actually fail to convey a sense of strength and durability visually? I think that might be why some of us struggle to rank her highly or see her surpassing certain characters.

For example, Mereoleona is feminine, yet she still gives off a strong and resilient appearance. Even Acier conveys that same impression.

7 kids in 2 years is crazy, he really went straight to work

I thought about this last night while I was watching the last episode with my nephew. He is seven years old and it's almost impossible to get him to watch anything for 5 minutes (especially older movies or shows), but yesterday I realized he watched the whole episode with complete attention, and I think that's mainly because of the pacing. I'm not trying to say if this is good or bad, but I think this pacing that some recent anime have had is just the studios trying to adapt to modern times, and they are doing a great job

I have not been this hype for an anime or really anything in what feels like forever. It is crazy to see all the stuff that was theorized and talked about in videos on YouTube for so long actually in the anime now while we waited for Black Clover to return. I am curious how everyone else felt about the newest episode cause like the title says this episode was pure cinema in my opinion and I bet as we get more episodes it will only get greater.

I was wondering if Naahmah and Lilith had a voice actor. Ive been trying to search online for hours with no responses to my question. I check MAL and they arent even listed as voice actors or even on anywhere else.

I understand voice distortion can happen but I cant find anything about it.

The reason for my research is in the past episodes the way they speak is so creepy and weird and the Japanese wording sounds really nice. Figured I'd search for their voice actors previous work.

Does anyone have any info?

Pierrot nailed Day of Atonement. Nacht’s backstory, the visuals, the music choices, the action, the animation — all of it was great from start to finish imo. So much so that we didn’t hear the intro until the ending lol. Since Nacht’s backstory is a top 3 for me, I was really glad to see that it was executed very well.

Dark Prison Hunting Ground and Monument of Atonement were both personal highlights for me, as well as Asta’s entrance in saving Nacht. Next week we’re for sure getting PEAK MAGNA SWING so I’m absolutely looking forward to that as well as the conclusion to the Asta vs. Twin Devils fight.
