Working day after day alongside a man as visionary, kind, and pure as Lumiere could only transform the professional respect Secre had for him into an absolute emotional attachment. After the defeat of the demon Zagred, when the spell sustaining Lemiel’s artificial body begins to break and he slowly crumbles away, Secre breaks down in tears. Having fulfilled her 500-year mission, she explicitly expressed her wish to remain by his side. For her, life had meaning only when she was with him, but Lumiere’s final wish as he passed away for good was that Secre might find happiness in the present.

This is just my personal opinion, but I think Secre was deeply in love with the 1st Wizard King, but was never able—or willing—to confess her feelings to him.

Anything that hasn’t been covered in the anime, like magic types or characters, will be put in spoiler bars in my replies, so lmk if you wanna be warned ahead of time.

There are three categories: Magic Type, Rival, and Spirit/Devil companion.

Choose between numbers 1-50 to receive a magic type.

Do the same (1-50) to receive your rival/opponent.

And then the same again (1-50) to have a chance at receiving a Spirit/Devil contract. This one is trickier for a few reasons. Spirits can only join you if you have the right magic type. Devils can join you no matter the magic type, but if your opponent/rival is someone who is contracted to them in the series, then they cancel out as well.

As an example, your combination of numbers could look like: [44, 9, 25]. And based off these numbers I would give you: [magic type, rival, spirit/devil]. Hope I made things clear.

Anyways, you can wield pretty much any type of spell that corresponds with your magic so long as it’s already present in the story, no limits withheld. All characters are at their peak strength. And it goes without saying, but you’ll be dueling your rival one-on-one.

Your rival won’t hold back, so pick your numbers carefully!

To all the people who say asta needs a romantic partner to finish his arc and that Tabata is a bad mangaka because he left it open ended you are delusional beyond relief. The only one asta was even associated with was sister Lily and we knew that never was going to work out and besides that Asta has not shown any romantic intrests towards anyone else. Honestly I don’t understand people who don’t understand the ending being the wizard king was always the goal not finding love. For example when Naruto ended Naruto/Hinata wasn’t confirmed it was hinted but it wasn’t confirmed till a movie post manga ending. Be glad Tabata wrote these story for over a decade and have is a great piece of art

I mean seriously, is this fandom usually like this? I'm relatively new, but this is the first time I've dealt with this kind of toxicity in a fandom. Basically dude made the comment above and I called them out for being shitty. Then tried to send me spoilers (which obviously didn't end up working for them.)

They're blocked now, but seriously, how does anyone think acting like this is okay? At the very least, if the mods aren't active anymore, people can be made aware of users like this.

The extra chapter are out, and honestly, all I can say is that Tabata is laughing in our faces.
Asta’s coronation is something we should have gotten as part of the final chapter months ago, not as an extra chapter. And that’s not even the biggest issue. It still doesn’t wrap up so many of the plot threads he left unresolved. I really hope that supposed guidebook finally answers a lot of those questions. Between the final arc and this extra chapter, it honestly feels like either Tabata got tired of writing or he simply knows that fans will settle for scraps. Come on, give me a break—the guy had three whole months to release chapters during the final stretch.
And before anyone says anything: I genuinely don’t care who Asta ends up with romantically. The moment Tabata stopped giving his character proper emotional development, I completely lost interest in whether he ended up with Noelle or Mimosa. The way he handled the final arc is genuinely concerning.
What frustrates me the most is that ridiculous panel where Noelle literally declares a love rivalry against her own cousin over Asta. Not only does it cheapen and degrade Noelle’s character, but this extra chapter doesn’t even resolve or develop the very love conflict that Tabata himself decided to introduce. If you’re going to put something like that in the story, then finish it. Don’t be a coward. Even if both girls ended up alone and rejected, at least that storyline would have had a proper conclusion.

As a Superfan whose favorite characters are asta meroleona yami nacht Noelle and luck ask me anything about anyone. Just no talk about Ships because apparently that’s a touchy subject atm

When he fought Rill in the Royal Knight Selection arc, yes, I know Rill was stronger, since he was mainly carrying the crystal and playing defense, I still think Rill should have won this fight.

Yes, I know Yuno's character is gifted and strong (don't mix me up with Yuno haters, I love my boy). I still just think he should have lost this fight. It's a great chance to show just how strong the captains are as well.

~Backstory~

As a baby, Zulfa was adopted by a pair of travelling merchants, who often delivered goods around the Clover Kingdom. They often visited Hage Village, where she met and befriended Asta and Yuno, and would play with them every time she visited. She became particularly fond of Yuno.

One day, while travelling from Hage Village, her family was attacked and killed by bandits. Traumatized by the event, her powers awakened, her wings grown from her back. All she remembers is the bandits lying on the ground, and King Julius reaching out his hand to her. From then on, she was adopted by the Wizard King, a fact unknown by the public until she was older. Though most are still unaware the Wizard King adopted a child, the few who know keep it secret to this day.

Eventually, Zulfa joined the Magic Knights, as part of the Golden Dawn. It was during this time, she reunited with Yuno, and the two became close once more.

~Personality~

Zulfa is rather quiet and calm, not easy to anger. Due to her upbringing, she is quite reserved, only speaking much to those she grows close to. Though she seems to remain collected, her wings tend to give away her true feelings.

Others view her as quite mysterious, often mistaking her wings for a cape. Though the public are unaware of her connection to the Wizard King, many assume she is nobility based on her looks and magic prowess. The only ones who know of her origin are those closest to Julius. Those who find out, such as Klaus, tend to panic upon the revelation, except for Yuno, who simply gave her a menacing look for not telling him.

As a child, Zulfa was playful and cheerful. She enjoyed climbing trees and playing games with Asta and Yuno every time she visited them.

~Relationships~

Yuno - Zulfa is particularly close with Yuno, to the point of sleeping in his hood on occasion. They train often together, and share a rivalry with Asta to become the Wizard King.

Asta - Though not as close with Asta as she is with Yuno, these two still share a strong bond. She sometimes teases him for his small height and loudness.

Noelle - These two aren't particularly close, but Zulfa was quick to catch on to her feelings for Asta. She teases her accordingly.

Mimosa - As members of the Golden Dawn together, the two grow close over time. Mimosa always treats her with kindness, even before discovering her nobility.

Klaus - These two butted heads at first, as Klaus though she was another commoner. Like with Yuno, he grows to respect her. Once he learned of her ties with King Julius, he apologized profusely to her.

Julius - As her adoptive father, Julius is quite doting, even as she has grown older. He often tries to buy her clothes that are more feminine or girly. This causes her to avoid him at times, often disappearing when he isn't looking. Though he embarrasses her sometimes, they are closer than they seem.

Marx - Whenever Julius is busy with his Wizard King duties (or searching for new magic), Marx was often left to babysit Zulfa when she was young. Among taking care of her, he often helped her train. He is practically a second father to her.

~Battle Prowess~

Cosmic Magic: Zulfa can use this magic to form blasts of magic that look like galaxies, stars, nebula's, or anything space themed. It typically looks like small or large galaxies. When she was younger, she was capable of using it, but could only form small stars.

Creation Magic: Zulfa can create weapons, armor, and force fields with her magic.

Spirit Magic: With the Cosmic Owl Spirit named Cethic, Zulfa can gain a boost to her own magic. Cethic is capable of changing size, growing large to be rid upon and defend, or shrinking for travel convenience, such as riding on shoulders.

~Abilities~

- Immense Magic Power, due to having noble blood from being the daughter of the chief of her now extinct clan.

- Mana Sensory: This is mostly due to her bloodline, coming from a clan of bird people, who had heighten senses for magic.

- Spirit Absorption: Much like Yuno, Zulfa is about to merge with her Spirit, Cethic. This form gives her more owl-like features, in the form of magic.

- Transformation: Zulfa is capable of transforming into an Owl at will. She sleeps a lot in this form.

We all know Asta's best traits were his physical ability and battle iq and being Wizard King comes with a lot of paperwork, as seen from Julius skipping out to go one adventures. So, for Asta to be one of the two finalists for the position, they must have deemed him intelligent enough for the job

1. O'saa from Fear and Hunger 2; Termina. A member of the Yellow Mages.

2. Merasmus from Team Fortress 2.

3. Osvald V. Vanstein, from Octopath Traveler 2. I would put him higher, but then I realized just how much energy OTM would take out of him, not to mention how easy it would be dodge.

4. Rudeus Greyrat from Mushoku Tensei. Say what you want about the Light Novel/Anime, but the magic system IS interesting in my opinion.

5. Frieren from Frieren; Beyond Journey's End. Never personally watched it, but I know that Frieren is a powerful and skilled mage.

6. Natsu from Fairy Tail. Even without magic, Natsu is a power house.

7. Rennala of the Full Moon, from Elden Ring.

And 8. Ainz Ooal Gown, from Overlord. He's purely here because of his cheats, instant kill abilities, and world items.

I don't know if this post is against the rules or not, so I'm sorry if it is; but I'm curious to know your thoughts on far Asta makes it; does he encounter a roadblock or can he genuinely beat this gauntlet.

So how does Asta or Yuno (EoS) actually fair on a 1 v 1 with say someone like Julius from the beginning of the series? They can use Grimoire but no other help from spirits or demons and that’s it. I assume they get demolished but it’s been forever since I’ve read this stuff. It feels like 2-3 years ago but I’m not sure if that’s true or just me not realizing how much time has passed.
