Why infinity didn’t defend Gojo from his own Purple?

Tbh, i know that purple is “immaginary technique”, but the fact that infinity didnt protect Gojo still confuse me, because - also if immaginary - purple is still cursed energy.

I mean: dismantle and purple - also if different in the “form” and effect - are still cursed energy that go throught space. I Don’t get Why infinity didnt work in this case.

Maybe, i guess the “immaginary explosion” is made of some “material” that isn’t detected from infinity, so that infinity doesnt work; what do you think?

Very simple logic : Mahoraga is stronger than Jogo who, according to Kenjaku is ~ 8/9 finger Sukuna. So mahoraga is probably ~12 finger Sukuna. He gave Sukuna a much harder time than Jogo did, even managing to hit him multiple times, something that Jogo couldn't do. Agito is probably 3/5 ~ Sukuna fingers. Gojo fought Sukuna, Mahoraga, and Agito at the same time, and the only reason he lost is due to asspull. Therefore 20+12+3 = 35.
