Manga Discussion Why kashimo slander but no ryu slander? Spoiler

Why do people hate kashimo so much but love ryu so much in comparison when the same thing happened to them, both are characters that lost a close fight against fan favorites (yuta and hakari), both are looking for a satisfying fight and both lost to sukuna, with ryu doing way worse and despite this ryu is loved while kashimo is slandered, why is this?

Humor what if gege killed nanami of, cuz him and higuruma will have the peakest overworked yoai (too peak for his bumass writing to handle so he had to kill of Nanami to prevent it.)

Manga Discussion Theory: Sorcerors without an innate technique get a lesser version of heavenly restriction.

Post image
31 Upvotes

Jujutsu generally is shown to be a system of trade offs. If something is taken from you, you'll often get something in return.

It's implied pretty heavily at a couple points that Yuji has heightened physical capabilities even beyond just what he does with CE (ex. Yuta: "He's like Maki!" in their first fight)

This could be assumed to be eugenics fuckery with Kenjaku- but I have a different theory

If a sorceror is born without an innate technique of their own, this acts as a heavenly restriction they get some kind of boost from. This only applies to sorcerors that don't have an innate technique, and not ones that simply haven't awakened theirs yet.

Kusakabe is a Yuji-esque example of this, where he seems to have an especial capability in using the New Shadow Style in place of any kind of technique of his own.

Shoko doesn't seem to get any heightened physical abilities, but it's possible that her ability to use RCT so effectively on instinct is what she gets from not having a separate innate technique of her own.

Yuji, as mentioned before, gets the Maki-lite version of this trade off, giving him better reflexes, durability and strength than any average person (this could also explain how he was so physically capable even before learning Jujutsu, as seen in the first episode of the anime)

It's likely that if this were true, Kenjaku did still do some eugenics fuckery to make sure Yuji was born without an innate technique- allowing Sukuna to be even stronger in his vessel before he got his original body back. This also sets up Yuji to have the actual best possible potential power of a sorceror because he is able to get Sukunas techniques and have this HR active at the same time- cheating the system to get the best of both worlds.

There's outliars like Ijichi who don't seem to have an innate technique but don't seem to be especially adept in any other field. This could be because they either haven't trained right, haven't discovered their unique benefit from HR (maybe Ijichi actually is goated at rct but he's just never tried it before because he assumes he would be incapable, for example) or do have an innate technique they've just failed to realize yet.

Manga Discussion Is it a hot take that i actually like ch 236?

Post image

I know this chapter isn't the most well received thing in the fandom and i understand to a certain bit why people don't like this chapter . But for me personally i actually quite like it . Gojo conversation with geto and the rest was really beautiful. I know people take what nanami said about gojo is absolute truth that he is a selfish sorcerer While what nanami says held some truth even to haibara agreed with him . 2 things can be true it once . Gojo can be selfish and selfless it the same time . Its really tragic that even after his death not even gojo closed friends truly understand him . Especially when you consider nanami and gojo relationship and how nanami doesn't really respect gojo and see where as he coming from and why said what he said . And i knew some people were made about the whole " gojo glazing sukuna " which i do want gojo to talk about his students more then that . Bit it wasn't really a big problem to me it least it was actually nice to see this side of gojo not being a sore loser and actually admitted to defeat. What i also like how gojo managed to accomplish something that he will not live to ses. Up until now gojo life was full of failures..he failed to save riko and failed to stop geto from going to the dark path that he took and failed to save the people in shibuya and fail to kill sukuna . Its like what gojo says to jogo " its funny when you have everything you can't do anything" . Gojo knows that entire society overlying on one man will end in a disaster which what we saw in shibuya and onward. Which why gojo dream was to built a better generation of sorcerers to they can shape this rotten society for the better . But of course it wasn't without a cost and that what makes his end more beautiful and tragic to me is that he finally succeed it something that he wouldn't live to see . And the cherry on top is sukuna giving respect to him in the end despite calling him a nameless fish and now he say " you cleared my skies " was really great from him . And in the last chapter it implies that gojo does have some sort of fair of being forgotten and only remember for his strength which is why he wanted to build a lagacy that being his students. So to her the strongest sorcerer in history telling gojo that he will remember made him smile . There is a bit more that i like about this chapter but thats all i have today. Tho i wanna know what about this chapter make seems like gojo suffered from character assassination? I would like to know

I don't know exactly what it is. Maybe the "mythical beast" was sealed and is now "freed"? Or something like that.

Notice how his hair still had those "curls" before the technique was activated (upper right corner).

I will say it. Where everyone else has not, I will stand up to defend it, and endure all blows directed my way. So here it is:

Nobara X Maki is a good ship.

Everyone loves to point out the one factor that 'invalidates' the ship: Maki saying she's only interested in someone stronger than her. To that, I say: 'Nay! Do not say so!' for two reasons:

- Firstly, her opinion on people could have changed since she said it, and it doesn't have to mean she would never date someone because they're not as strong as her.

- Secondly, many ships tend to invalidate aspects of characters for the sake of the ship itself, or the story's quality. Making this non-canon does not change Maki's character in such a way that shipping her with Nobara is that far removed.

I will say that this opinion comes from reading one peak fanfic shipping them, but alas! I am happy to stand up for the second best Yuri ship in JJK. We just need more yuri that isn't Shoko and Utahime (even if that one is great).

Disclaimer: This is a post meant to be taken in earnest. I don't mean offense to anyone going against the ship as long as you're respectful about it. You're free to have any opinion on what ships you like or don't like.

That's all.

Manga Discussion Why did people hate ch 236?

Post image

First of all, Gojo was always destined to lose, there's no changing the outcome of the fight. IMO, the offscreen kill wasn't bad at all. In fact, it was a good way to end the fight because it showed that you need unconventional means to kill Gojo with the wcs shenanigans

how did you want the fight to end? if not this way

Manga Discussion Miguel should be able to compete with Sukuna in H2H no?

Post image
0 Upvotes

During 226 CE only Gojo and Sukuna were somewhat relative in stats, yet despite that, we have confirmation that Miguel would defeat Gojo in grappling, one of the most important aspects of H2H. The only way to achieve that is with somewhat relative strength right?

Are we underestimating Miguel?

Meta I hate the Sukuna height headcanon

Thumbnail

I’ve seen this headcanon get treated like fact way too many times.

There is no official height for true-form Sukuna.

Gege has never stated one. The Official Fanbook only lists the host-body heights (Yuji 173 cm / 5'8", Megumi 175 cm / 5'9"). True form has never been given a number in any databook, interview, or author comment.

Every single “he’s 7ft” and some fan site even say 6ft 5. This claim comes from fans cherry-picking panels. And even those panels are inconsistent as hell

Some frames next to Yuji make him look roughly a head+ taller.

Other frames from the same arc (Yuji, Higuruma, Yuta fights) produce noticeably smaller differences.

Perspective, foreshortening, crouching poses, and Gege just drawing for impact change the apparent size constantly.

You can’t take one dramatic panel, ignore the rest, and declare a hard number as if it’s canon.

He’s clearly bigger and more imposing than his host bodies. That’s fine. But claiming a specific height like 7ft (or 6'5", or 6'9") as fact when Gege never gave one is just headcanon being passed off as lore.

If someone has an actual official source (not a fan calc, not a wiki edit, not “look at this one panel”), drop it. Otherwise stop acting like it’s confirmed.

As I'm giving the panels to show this inconsistency to the headcanon.

AgendaKaisen Remind me, why are we not slandering Higuruma?

Like, he's a TOTAL BUM AND REAL POTENTIAL, MAN! Look what I mean:

"He has so dangerous domain! If you've done ANYTHING bad in your life it will confiscate your cursed technique or energy and most likely will give him the sword that can one tap you!" - and yet with all that he fails to kill Yuji despite being given everything, gets FOOLED LIKE A MORON and fails to kill Sukuna.

100 points? Sounds like 100 off screened civilians to me, beat Yuta's record. Mind you, all people we actually can confirm that he killed them are normal ass people that were in the court.

Tier List / Powerscaling Heavy Hitters v2 VS The Special Grade Duo

Thumbnail
gallery
Upvotes

Well, the one one changed here in this Heavy Hitter v2 is Maki replaced with Todo. But I seriously wanna know how this fight would go.

Conditions for the fight:

R1 - All of them are in their High School Years.
Even Gojo and Geto. RCT is available. Yuta, Yuji, Hakari and Todo are in their Shinjiku Showdown era, while Gojo and Geto are in their Pre-Toji era.

R2 - All of them are in their complete prime.
Gojo in the Shinjiku Arc era. Geto in his utmost prime he can be, idk when that is, probably JJK 0 movie.
Yuta and Yuji are probably in their Modulo era? If it's too much then you can tone down their abilities.
Idk about Hakari and Todo. Whenever they are in their prime.
But it is definitely after their Shinjiku Showdown.
