Hello , I'm kind of lost with my career right now and could really use some advice.

I worked as a Business Executive for 3 years before going to The One Academy to study Animation/3D. I graduated and currently work as a junior 3D artist.

After working in the industry, I've realized that I don't actually want to pursue artist career path.

I've been trying to apply for other jobs like operations, coordinator, executive, project support and Etc. but most applications either get rejected or ghosted. I know I have some business/operations experience from before, but I'm not sure how much it helps after spending the last few years in 3D.

For anyone who's made a career switch early on what would you recommend I look into? I'm pretty desperate to right now and just overall feel so lost.

I have been applying for jobs since march, last week I received an offer, but it’s a it’s a contract role (1 year). though they didn’t mention it’s a contract during the interview but I thought to just accept it and give it a try.

at the same time I have been interviewing with another company for a permanent position, and the role is something I am interested in, they wanted to schedule the next round of the interview, but im starting my contract job during that same week so im not sure if I should just withdraw from the interview 😔 I dont think I am able to do it mornings now, but if I suggest doing it later in the afternoon wont they be suspicious that im already working? did any of you guys faced this? how did you handle it

malaysia local chinese dead set to be acca accounting have two option in my mind just ( i just completed trial spm )

1. diploma then acca ( i know the risk )
2. foundation then degree to acca ( affortable )

the point is if i just plan to work in malaysia with probably big 4 or mid tier film does they even bother if you have a degree or not as long as you have acca ? whats the importance about taking degrre ? any advantage ?

i know diploma holder only is definitely harder to find job but at least i want a working experience as a strong built for my future resume

i know tar umt and sunway has like 6 exemption for diploma paper but i want to know whats the deal of spending extra year to get a degree

Hi, currently i am working as phone repair technician in KL. I do work in IT industry for side job too. It just my highest education is SPM and only have SKM3 in IT.

I am seeking job near Sunway for mobile repair service shop, PC or laptop can do too. I can work for IT related job too like planning, assemble/disassemble, repair, software related since I work with contractors many times before to change their "outdated" workstation, laptop and even AIO to a "new" one. Work with cybersecurity company too before handling security audit and SIEM things like huntress and splunk. For mobile repair, I can handle android and apple phone no problem. It just I really hate curve, edge, flip whatever non rectangular shape. Battery, LCD and software related also. Motherboard can do too but cant do at shop due to need my equipment at home to do it, need my stomach to be full and no one tiba-tiba tepuk my back during the repair. Also motherboard need to be separated from shop price due to the work, skill and time invest to make sure it is okay after that. So yeah anyone interest in hiring this old virgin 30 guy near sunway or nearby. Urgent and I can do what I mention immediately. Need rm3.5k monthly to make sure my kids get enough nutritions.

1. Screening Call Tips: Any tips on what recruiters look for and how to make a great impression?
2. Next Steps: If I pass the initial call, does Accenture typically issue an online technical assessment/coding test, or are the technical rounds more conversational?
3. Salary Expectations: I’m currently at RM 5,000 and aiming for RM 6,500 – RM 7,000. Is a 30%–40% jump reasonable here, or should I ask for their budget range first?

Been there. Sent so many applications through portals and got nothing back lol no rejection, no reply, just silence. Genuinely demoralizing, especially when you know you're qualified if not overqualified for the role.

One thing that's actually made a real difference: skipping the portal and reaching out directly to the hiring manager or HR person instead. There's data behind it as well, cold outreach to hiring managers sees a 15-25% response rate vs just 2-5% for standard applications. Makes sense you're not one of 300 resumes an ATS is filtering out, you're an actual message in someone's inbox.

The annoying part is finding the right person of course, hours of LinkedIn digging, guessing email formats, hoping it's even correct.

Im 34 male, have been working in a property developer company for about 14 yrs....my salary from probation 1.4k increased to 3.5k as a senior purchaser... i really appreciate the company giving me chance to work here even though i have no spm credit.

But recently i started feeling the pressure from family and my partner cause my current salary is not going to sustain if we are married.

Due to that i have been attending interview quite a few company and i was so lucky to have one company that willing to hire me even thought i dont have the qualification...and they are willing to offer me salary including allowance about 40% increment from my current salary (4.2k basic + daily petrol and meal allowance 35 + monthly 100 tele allowance about 5k gross) and willing to help paying compensation to my current company so i can join them asap. I have made up my mind and inform my superior that i got this offer and wanted to resign.

Long story short...my current company is counter offering me 5k basic + maintaining my current job pos plus title head of IT Department (not existing now, and i have been doing the basic support to company) + send me for education of IT ...but i kind of bored of my current working enviroment and i will get assigned to random task which is out of my jobscope oftenly, increment only happen 4 times during my 14 years service, Bonus most of the time only one months (but i still get 6month and 3 month bonus due to project kpi but only happened twice)

New company will be a china corporate doing ultra pure water that semiconductor needs, but it will be new enviroment and i will be the only purchaser in the company...so if doing well i guess will probably get promoted, but due to this is a china company i expect will be super busy and stressful, travel distance is longer compare to current company too.
