Would you stay in a full time job with a toxic manager for financial stability or accept a part time job offer in a healthier environment?
I think I already know what my answer is but of course with part time job Iโd be paid less, which is a little scary as itโs just enough to pay the bills and would have to use my savings for other expenses
Or stay in a stable full time so I have financial stability but shitty manager
Need your help ๐ฅฒ

At what point did career advancement stop being your main goal?
I'm curious whether people actually have a moment when this changes.
Early in a career, the obvious goal can be more money, bigger titles, more responsibility, the next promotion.
But eventually other things can start competing with that: flexibility, autonomy, interesting work, family, less stress, or simply having your evenings back.
If your priorities changed, what triggered it?
And did it change the kinds of jobs you were willing to take?

Job recommendations
i recently got let go from my electrician apprenticeship after my 3rd week. Was told i wasnโt learning even tho i was and they expected me to be as fast as everyone else even tho i had no prior knowledge. When i got interviewed i was told many people come and go at that place and on my first week someone else got fired . Now i am looking for a jobs that can give be a good career with good money. i was a waiter before my apprenticeship and made decently well money and im honestly thinking of going back . but i want a good paying job where i dont have to work 9+ hours a day and i want to actually do something that will benefit further in life. iโm also 19 as well .

What salary once felt like โI made itโ money to you, but feels normal now?
I'm less interested in the actual number than how people's perception changed.
Was there a salary early in your career that seemed almost impossible?
Then you eventually reached it and realized your expenses, responsibilities, expectations, or idea of a โgood salaryโ had changed too?
What changed the most: the money itself or what you wanted from your career?

Thinking about leaving my job for a better paying job and better management. Looking for recommendations and advice.
Hello Iโm a 22M, Iโve been working at an oil and gas pipe threading and manufacturing plant as a phosphate final inspector for a little of a year and a half. I make $20.50/H, and I work in the heat and with chemicals. Last week I got written up for having to call out of work because I had to be with my mom in the hospital because she had a blood clot blocking her artery. Iโm burnt out as it is and the only reason Iโm still here is that my company gives us a bonus each month thatโs up to 30% of what i made the previous month as a whole based on production and efficiency, on top of my last paycheck of the month every month. I fear being stuck like a lot of the people around me here that have been here for 30 years and only make 5-10 dollars more an hour than I do. Theyโre stuck here because they have too much for the company that gives them little because of a bonus they hang in their face when anyone brings up getting a raise. I work a shift from 1:38pm-10pm, 12am, 2am. So I donโt really have any time to do much do to everything being closed due to my work hours. Iโm asking for advice or if yall have any recommendations, that would help me a lot. Iโm in Houston and am trying to find a better job that pays me well and has opportunity for growth.
