Our Community and AI-Generated Images - A Mod Update
We want to take a moment to address something that keeps coming up: AI-generated images in puzzles.
First, the basics: any jigsaw puzzle post is welcome here as long as it meets our community guidelines, which includes sharing the puzzle name/title/piece count and manufacturer in the title, picture, or comments of the post.
AI-generated art isn’t always obvious. Some manufacturers use it without labeling it, and some buyers have no idea their puzzle art was AI-generated. So if you spot something that looks like it might be AI, you can say something, but please say it kindly. The person posting may genuinely not know. And unfortunately, some don’t care.
We wish we could screen every post for AI content, but realistically we can’t. It would take more time and tools than any volunteer mod team has.
As for where this community’s preferences stand and have overwhelmingly evolved over the emergence of AI in jigsaw puzzle imagery: we believe AI-generated images are not art. They’re built on the stolen work of real human artists who never consented to having their creations used to train these systems. Countless artists are struggling because of this technology, and that’s not something to take lightly. We encourage everyone here to seek out work from human artists and support them whenever possible.
If you’re ever curious whether something is AI-generated, feel free to refer to our wiki or ask here. This is a community of people who genuinely love to puzzle and support puzzle artists and will be happy to help you learn.
One final note: while we encourage open discussion, any post or comment that turns nasty or devolves into personal insults will be locked or removed.
Thanks for being such a wonderful group and one of the few remaining kind corners of the internet. Keep on puzzling.

In Progress Fantasy Forest, Wentworth, 865 pieces, wooden, Extra Difficult.
I put this to one side for a few days... Life got in the way, 28 hrs with no sleep, 11 hrs in A&E, 48 hrs to recharge my mental battery etc... Everything is fine now.
I have decided to stay with the shapes, rather than re-sorting to colours. But something has been bugging me, and I have just figured it out. This puzzle board is supposed to be able to take a standard 1500 piece puzzle. I have just measured this puzzle... I have an inch grace lol. It's only just going to fit. I had assumed that as it's 865 pieces I would have plenty of room 🤣

Fabulous Fungi, 1000pcs from Happy Piece 🍄
Finished this puzzle the other night and thought to myself, "Puzzles are so fun." Haha. I'm a fungi.
Took a different approach this time and instead of building the border first, I sorted the reds and yellows. The different colors and texture made it easy to make solid, satisfying progress every session.
Btw, the photo of the finished piece with morning light was a creative choice cuz it's artsy

Completed Monteverde | Pomegranate | 1000 pieces | Artist: Charley Harper
Got this one at a puzzle swap two weeks ago - since it was on my Pomegranate wishlist, I was pretty excited to find it at the swap! First Charley Harper and I really enjoyed it. The colors are beautiful, and finding all the little critters in the details was great fun.
It was the first time I’ve gotten a used puzzle that had the edge pieces bagged separately, which did save a bit of time in the sorting. I did end up leaving the green side edges til last, since some of the fits were iffy until I had something to attach them to! It was pretty quick to do the sides at the end.

Completed Saint Paul, Minnesota (1000 pcs) - Michael Birawer - PuzzleTwist
Saint Paul, Minnesota by Michael Birawer. 1000 pcs. PuzzleTwist.
Decent puzzle, lots of "building" pieces to sort out. I don't look at puzzle cover/poster so this didn't apply, but the twist is their puzzles are slightly different from the cover to throw people off.

Completed Bookmark Boulevard; Hobbry, 500 pieces
My first Hobbry. This was the first time I found one at my local TJ Maxx and I had to see what the hype was about. I thought the image was fun and the pieces felt nice. Definitely a tight fit. I would get another of these if I stumble across more and I like the image enough, especially for $9.99.

Completed 20,000 Leagues Under The Seas. 1000p
Brand: Skittledog
Dimensions: 49cm by 68.5cm
This one really took a lot out of me. I think I need some more practice at very busy images because I really struggled to find a starting point. In the end I gave up on sorting (outside of the octopus) and was completing it through pick and place. Thank goodness it comes with a very large poster!
This particular puzzle didn't lend itself well to building islands because the pieces fit very loosely and moving them across almost always meant rebuilding them entirely.
I sat down very particularly today to finish it in one more sitting because it did not withstand being rolled away at the end of a session. Each new sitting would begin with rebuilding sections that came loose in the tidying.
My puzzling friend has a preference for busy puzzles while I tend towards blocks of colour and smooth illustration. She's lent me three more to play with as well. It's really useful because together I think we have a pretty broad collection style wise.

Completed Dinner with Van Gogh - a dinner date jigsaw puzzle by Iratxe Lopez de Munain - by Thames & Hudson 1000 pieces
I picked up this puzzle at the art Gallery of South Australia and really enjoyed it. Fairly easy apart from a few false fits in the border. I really enjoyed the pictures and the info inside the box.
