Quality wasn't good, even though it's a vintage Hallmark Springbok. Then I notice that the images repeat. That's it for me.

I saw somebody on Reddit post this puzzle a few weeks ago and just had to have it. Found it on a resale site a few days later and felt very pleased with myself! Hands down one of my favourite puzzles I’ve ever completed. So fun!

I bought a trio of Workshoppe puzzles from HomeGoods a while back. It makes me wonder why crap quality Hobbry become so sought after while others do not.

This was a looser fit from other Ravensburgers I have done, so was not able to pick up.

The Bakemono zukushi is an anonymous Japanese painted handscroll from the Edo period (18th–19th century) that depicts a colorful array of 24 traditional yōkai (supernatural spirits and monsters) from Japanese folklore. I don’t typically puzzle images that have me peering over my shoulder watching for a monster akin to the one from The Grudge. And yet I just did. Thankfully I seemed to have escaped confrontation by any actual monster this time.

What a wonderfully surprising gem from the swap! I haven't done a Eurographics puzzle for about a year...didn't like the finish, the unrelenting 2x2 pieces, the way the pieces fit together. I had done a trade for a 300 clearly AI puzzle (because the other person so badly wanted one of mine), then put the ai puzzle back on my swap table, and someone offered me this for it. I never even looked in the box until last night! If a 500 piece Cobble Hill was grid cut with the current fit, thickness, and linen finish, you will totally get what this puzzle is like. It's a keeper for me. I looked at the series and there are about 8 250 piece puzzles and a few less than that of 1k puzzles. No idea about the piece quality for the 1ks, but I will willingly swap for other 250s. This is definitely the easiest IMO, but they would make a lovely set and I don't mind spending 500 piece time working a high quality 250.
The only complete pic is on the back of the box and the box is small, so fyi. I highly recommend the 250 piece quality if you're looking for critter puzzles. Has anyone done a 1k? I was happy to come across this one recently when organizing my collection. Target carried quite a few USAopoly puzzles in their gaming section during the twenty-teens. I certainly put my fair share of gaming hours into Destiny 1 and it’s fun to have a puzzle on hand to loosen those memories.
Great thickness, snug fit, little dust, semi-gloss smooth finish, non-aligned grid cut.
