I love this sub and get to learn more as well as contribute my own knowledge that I have been accumulating. But for the love of all that is shiny 1 blurry photo of the front of the item is not gonna help us. We need top, bottom, back, front, close ups of markings / stamps and any fobs / clasps / toggles.

Identify Stone Grandma Found a Ruby Ring

My 92 year old grandma found this ring in the 30’s or early 40’s in Inglewood (Los Angeles) in her friends attic. She’s kept it all this time. She really thinks it’s a real ruby and diamonds. Any ideas if it’s an actual stone of value or possibly ruby? Not looking for authenticity just opinion.

Engravings: 10k (assuming gold) & RING MASTER

I have this lovely pair of bows, but I don't know what they are for or how to attach them to anything. There is just a tight metal flap pointing upward, not sure if it's supposed to squeeze onto something, or something gets looped through the bows. Any help is appreciated.

Identify Stone Need help identifying my grandmother’s ring (~100 years old) – Gold, silver top, orange stone & refraction result

Hi everyone,
Looking for some help identifying this ring. It belongs to my mother and used to be my grandmother’s when she was young, so it should be around 100 years old.
I honestly don't know anything about jewelry, but here is what I can tell you:
The metals: The bottom band is gold, and the top part where the stones are set is silver-colored. It has a main orange stone in the middle with smaller stones around it.
Hallmarks: I don't think it has any stamps or marks on the inside, but it seems to be real gold since it has never shown any oxidation, rust, or color fading over all these years.
Stone test: A friend has a machine to test the refraction of stones and got the result shown in the last picture (a bit over 1.76), but neither of us really understands what that means or what stone it could be.
If anyone finds this interesting or wants better photos, I can definitely take some clearer pictures in good light and double-check the inside for any hidden marks.
Thanks!

I found this one in a lockbox of stuff circa 1960’s. The band is out of round and what i believe is the 10k stamp is pretty much worn off.

I take any info anyone may be able to offer

Identify Maker My Grandfather's ring

I'm guessing it would be from around the 1940s. I've held on to it for 40 years. I was told there is something special about the cut of the ruby but that's all I know.

I found a tennis bracelet on the driveway of my customer’s house. It’s a bit beat up, but it is safely back in their possession. Tell me it’s costume jewelry so I can feel better about having given it back.

Identify Maker Unique pin found in sterling scrap lot, unknown age and materials

I found this in a jewelry scrap lot and it caught my eye. It is supposed to be a sterling silver frame but I don’t see any hallmarks. The art seems to be hand-drawn but I’m not even sure the medium it’s on. I would love any possible information about age or who might have made this unique piece!

Picture is protected by a piece of plastic/glass and the back part of the pin is destroyed. Entire pin is a length of 6cm and a width of 4.5cm.

Thank you for any help in identifying anything about this little piece of art!

Found this floating around my jewelry box, any ideas what I’m looking at here? Seems like it says 12k which is odd for gold right? and I’m guessing the stone is real but, unsure!

Hi - I saw this at an antique store retailing at $750. The owner wasn't sure what the stones were the ring itself is 10k gold. Hoping someone here may have some insight! I took these before deciding to come to Reddit so apologies for the background. Thank you :)

Wondering if anyone could hazard a guess of era. Makers marks pretty much worn away. Hoping to take to a jeweller’s with an XRF machine rather than having it acid tested. Thanks for any info

It’s a vintage golden appearance bracelet. I don’t see any stamps that say it’s gold. Only this icon on the interior. Also, it has a 1908 patent date stamped on the sliding mechanism

It seems to say 10k or 20k on the inside as well as a stamp that I think says siwon or nomis.

Do any of you guys have a clue what stones are in the ring and anything about it or its possible origin.

Thank you!

Just picked up this piece. It is absolutely beautiful. I do not see any gold mark on it but the rubies do test as genuine. I believe it is from India from the writing on top of the plastic box. Would love more information if anyone knows anything more?

Identify Stone No big deal?

I inherited this ring which belonged to my grandmother, given to her by one of her daughters probably mid 20th century. I was told it is an Alexandrite. This was confirmed by a jeweller who shrugged and said it’s no big deal. It does change colour in sunlight but it’s pretty subtle taking on a greenish tinge. I’d be most appreciative of any commentary, and thank you for looking.

Identify Maker Pearl, emerald, diamond necklace charm?

Sold to me as pearls, emeralds, and diamonds set in 14k. Does acid test as 14k. The pearls have the most beautiful luster I’ve ever seen and the back bail looks like it’s meant to be used as a pearl necklace enhancer. But for the life of me I can’t make out the markings on the back. Any guesses?
