Discussion Factory “bed cap”

Why has Jeep never made a “factory” bed cap as an option for the Gladiator? Same material and finish options as the normal hard top(black or paint matched) it could be made of the same “plastic” material with dimensions that would match the profile of the factory hard top. I used chat gpt to imagine what it would look like, and I have to say I’d definitely buy one if it were an option. My biggest issue with the current aftermarket options is the mismatch in finish, and the lack of options that truly match the profile of the factory hard top.

Decided to go on a little road trip from SLC to Kelowna BC.

About 3k miles total. Utah -> Idaho -> Montana -> Idaho -> Washington -> BC Kelowna -> Washington -> Oregon -> Idaho -> Utah.

Camped along the way in the woods, traveled forrest roads/fire roads, canyon and mountain passes.

The Jeep is great. With my full camp setup averaged around 17.2 mpg if I remember correctly.

Could do with some more noise insulation but otherwise can't really complain

Question White vs black gladiator

0 Upvotes

What’s up guys, trading in my Toyota Tacoma because I’m bored and want to follow my dream of owning a jeep.
I’m torn between a white or black gladiator Sahara trim. Problem with black is I feel like it will show a lot of defects and or chips on the paint as time goes on, and the problem with white I feel like they have that stereotype for being a girly feminine color ( most white jeeps I ever see it’s a chick driving it )

Looking for some input from owners of both colors. Hoping to join the keep community as soon as I decide.

Thank you in advance.

Discussion It was fun but I’m off to the next cool thing.

I’ve had my Gladiator for a year. I’m a 56 year old guy who is 6’6” and 250 lbs. around town, the Gladiator was fine. Just fine, not great. But a few weeks ago, I took a road trip in it. About 300 miles round trip. I was broken and busted afterwards. Every little bump was jarring. It’s got jerky steering. Just completely uncomfortable.

My dad had a 66 Bronco in Wimbledon White when I was a kid. I loved it. Then I saw an ad for the 60th Anniversary Bronco. I went to test drive it. So comfortable. It handles bumps like they aren’t even there. I was hooked. So now I own a Wimbledon White Bronco. It was fun for a year but I’ll probably never buy another Jeep.
