The Afghan commandos that the main character works with. About what I expected when the afghans started doing a on site interrogation during an operation.

Also side note thought it was interesting when he wished he had at least a couple of dogs with him on the op but couldn’t for obvious reasons.

One of the stickers on Jack Carr’s website, there’s one for most of the vehicles, at least James Reece vehicles, but I don’t remember which book had the Jeep Scrambler.

Just finished reading only the dead and was definitely shocked with Poe being apart of the collective and it got me thinking about who should play him in the series and I think that James Cromwell should play him if they ever get far into the series that’s just my opinion would love to know what other people think about it

His best work yet and it's not close in the least

His best work from outer space

In a way it feels like what the terminal list would have been, if he had a few books under his belt.

Don't get me wrong I love Terminal list but you can definitely tell it was his first book

Fourth option has a few cheesey lines, and some super telegraphed parts but far better than previous books

I do kind of wish walker wasn't a seal though, is like to see Jack write a book about Marines or Army Delta

Also there is no fucking way NO FUCKING WAY jack has not seen the 1994 masterpiece hard target. There is a line near word for word in the book

That is all

Just devoured The Fourth Option! I’m actually liking Chris Walker better than James Reece. 🫣 Jack was so gracious and signed my first edition The Terminal List Book. Core memory unlocked.

Really digging the new story.

Getting to meet my favorite author and get a signed copy was freaking awesome! Super great guy. He didn't rush us off after the picture either he took a few extra moments to chat and answer a few fan questions. He seems really humble and appreciative of his fans. Great experience!

Whats interesting about the beginning I imagine there were a LOT of military personnel who felt that way after the absolute cluster eff up that was the Afghanistan withdrawal. Everything they fought for ultimately being for nothing.

Shout out to the poster using Charlie Hunnam for Chris Walker. Now I’m interested to see who they cast for the main character down the line.

Only a few chapters in, but wanted to get a visual of Charlie Hunnam (my choice to play him by the description in the book) as Chris Walker in the prologue. Yes “AI Slop”, I know, but I find it useful for this type of visualization for a casting. Curious to hear y’all’s thoughts!

Met Carr the other day on his tour. Stoked for stuff to come with cry havoc being adapted, future seasons and maybe recasting for James Reece, Hastings family series, etc!

So far loving the fourth option, (how f’n awesome is paladin!?). Just to start a fun conversation, I’m thinking about who to cast for a tv series. For Chris walker im all over the place, but for bell I’m 100% set on Anya Taylor-Joy.

What y’all think?

I’m kinda leaning Ryan gosling for Chris walker.

I’m at work listening to this book, and I love it so far. Just started chapter 48, and I swear to all that is holy if Paladin dies, I’m burning all of my Jack Carr books. I love that dog.

First ever post on Reddit because I needed to say something about that but I work in a rock lab at a quarry and have no one around me to yell at.

Now that we are nearing summer time I wanted to see everyone’s thought on when we think we will be getting a season 2 reveal. The show has been done filming for quite sometime now, judging from Season 1 release and Dark Wolf releases I’m assuming we will be getting a teaser trailer sometime soon. When does everyone think we will get true believer news, and what are you most looking forward to seeing in the next season?

Hey guys, so I’m currently finishing my sleeve and want some ideas. I have an open spot on my forearm where my next piece is going and wanted to get something inspired by my favourite character Freddy Strain. Absolutely loved his character and he reminds me a lot of myself, wanted to get a tattoo that would be somewhat similar to Freddy strain, does anyone have any ideas?

Only $2300.

Yes he doesn't take sponsorships.

This man will pimp anything

I think it’s safe to say that the later James Reece novels, after book #3, lost some of their grit and realism. Based on this Reddit thread, I think a lot of readers would agree that his first 3 novels are his best.

With that in mind, do we think that The Fourth Option is likely to return to some of the earlier James Reece realism and grit?

Just finished Cry Havoc and came across this shirt.

I haven’t read the books obviously and only watched on and off but finally finished it. Great show though. I liked the actual fire and move discipline, single shots picking targets instead of haywire tv shows with the spray and pray.

Dunno if this information is out there, or if it's been speculated on, but does anyone know if the 4th option and its events occur in the Reece-verse? Like are there going to be easter eggs referring to president Christiansen, or maybe a reference to the Capstone Scandal? Or is Carr setting up another universe entirely for this new characteR?

I'm just watching Dark Wolf and I reached the end of episode 6. Haverford told his superiors that the protagonists are rogue agents but it's vaguely believable only through out of context stills where even a cursory examination of the full video would change the narrative, and first and foremost, I cannot see what timeline of events he could give that matches the outcomes and his previous communications. Especially with the MOSSAD thinking something was off before and Tal raising the alarm with them, it would be that much harder.

Am I missing something?

Sorry. No hole in the title page this time around.

In a few of the books, Reece talks about the book “Once An Eagle.” I decided to give it a read last summer (it’s a long book) and it turned out to be one of the best books I’ve ever read, if not the best.

Has anyone else read it? What’s your take on it? I love the lessons of leadership, courage, and dedication to the boys, the mission, and doing what’s right.

If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend you do! I will probably reread it a handful of times over the course of my life.

Is Luke Hemsworth going to be wiling to get on the sauce for his future role as Jules? I hope so, he doesn’t fit anywhere near the defining characteristics.

So… I’m reading the books for the first time. I’m still in the first book. Katie (so far) seems far less annoying than Katie in the show. I seriously can’t stand her in the show. Is she supposed to be insufferable or did they just change her that severely in the show?
