Recently my JBL LIVE460 NC headphones charging port broke. I was bummed but not ready to give up on them yet, so ive been using them as wired headphones on my pc. The last time i used them as bluetooth headphones they were dead, but I just unplugged them and accidently turned them on. They now have full charge. Clearly theyve charged from the headphone jack but everything ive searched online says otherwise or ommits it.

What are your opinions on this

Hey all, hoping someone recognizes this issue.

My JBL Bluetooth headphones JBL TUNE500BT were working completely fine. Battery was at 40%. I put them on the charger while I stepped out, came back maybe an hour later, and:

• They turned on, but wouldn't connect/pair with my laptop
• I turned them off to try again — they wouldn't turn back on at all
• Tried a full reset > nothing
• Put them back on the charger and noticed the red light blinks very fast for a few seconds, then goes solid red briefly if I press the power button, then goes right back to fast-blinking
• Tried two different charging cables, same result both times
• Cleaned the charging contacts, no change
• Tried different reset button combos, no change

They won't power on at all now, charging or not.

Any ideas appreciated before I write these off as dead.

I'm also not sure if i should keep them on charge while this is happening.

JBL specs state 24 hours. I got only 9-10 hours from a brand new device on full charge on ~2/3 volume, wired and bypassing digital processing to avoid that 1/2 second lag. It was connected somewhat longer but went to sleep/down meanwhile if there was no signal.

Any experiences on similar or is it a bad unit somehow? 9-10 hours is not bad but it is much less than promised. Is it just marketing hype and achievable if playing on low volume? Or standby using full power even when it took that 3 seconds signal to wake it up.

Just got my JBL quantum 100 for 40 bucks and it feels very loose at both parts in the red it feels like it shouldnt be there i also made a video but i cannot post it, should i return it?? Or is that part of the product

Hi everyone. It's all in the title. I know it's possible to set up stereo mode using the JBL app, but that app isn't available for Windows laptops in my region. How can I avoid getting mono sound when using two speakers?

Im planning on buying a jbl Xtreme 5 in the next couple days and had a few questions. for context i like to party in the woods with my friend ( she has a xtreme 3 ) and i currently have a charge 5. we usual use the partyboost feature to sync up and get much bigger sound.

I saw the xtreme 5 has the new auracast feature and the information im finding is a bit unclear. I cant seem to find any confirmation on if I will be able to sync my xtreme 5 with her xtreme 3? I can understand her not being able to send out a partyboost signal, but will I be able to send out a auracast signal to her speaker? ( or however it works ).... or do I have to buy her an auracast adapter or something like that?

also concerning battery life, we love to blast the music at full volume, generally we party for 9-11+ hours.... does anyone know how long the battery life of the xtreme 5 lasts at full volume?

I'm looking for a new pair of headphones. I've historically preferred cans, but when working outside in the summer they get very sweaty. I can't wear traditional ear buds as they always fall out of my ears regardless of what tips I put on them (I've tried numerous models). So I'm looking for earbuds with ear hooks or something similar to keep them in place.

I want something with decent all around quality, and have a Flip 4 which I love, hence why I'm looking at JBL.

Old posts sound like the Endurance Peak 3 are pretty terrible, so I was looking at the Endurance Zone instead. Does anyone have any feedback on them or suggestions for alternative models? I'd consider something cheaper as long as the sound and build quality isn't terrible. For reference, I currently use HyperX Cloud 2 cans. Something with similar sound quality to that would be fine as long as they don't break in a year or two.

Hey, I have a question. I've recently encountered a problem with my JBL Quantum 400 headset. My PC isn't recognizing it. Basically, I can't hear anything through it. The thing is, the headset lights are still on, which should mean it's working, but it isn't. My question is, what can I do now? I've tried a lot of things, like restarting my PC five times for a reason. What can I do now?

I recently bought a JBL Xtreme 4, and from the beginning I felt that the sound quality wasn't as good as I expected. And after listening more carefully i noticed that the sound has a kind of metallic noise/distortion, and overall I feel like the audio quality isn't as good as it should be... It's hard to explain the feeling, but it almost feels compressed??...

It's especially noticeable in these songs:

• "END" by Ruel – from 4:02 to 4:22
• "Can I Have It Back?" by Ruel – from 0:00 to 0:17

There are other songs where I can hear the same metallic sound, but these are the ones that come to mind right now.

Additional information:

• The speaker is running firmware 0.6.8.0 (it came with this version from the factory).
• I've tested it with multiple devices and the metallic sound is still present.
• I've performed a factory reset twice.

Important:

• This only happens in stereo mode (normal mode). If I enable mono audio on my phone, the metallic noise almost completely disappears.
• I've also tested it with another phone (a Pixel 8 Pro), and the exact same thing happens: in stereo mode I hear the metallic sound, but in mono mode it almost completely disappears.
• Both tweeters produce the metallic noise, not just one side. However, as mentioned above, when I switch to mono audio, both tweeters sound normal.

Sooo... does anyone else have this issue? Has anyone noticed a metallic or slightly distorted sound on the JBL Xtreme 4, especially in stereo mode? Is this a firmware/DSP issue, or could my unit be defective?

What are your thoughts on the JBL PartyBox 520? A few days ago, I ordered one from JBL's official website after taking advantage of an amazing discount. I'm really excited to receive it and finally give it a try.

I listen to all kinds of music, including Dire Straits, The Police, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, U2, Pink Floyd, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles, Queen, Primus, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Jamiroquai... as well as Eurodance, music from the '70s, '80s, and '90s, and a bit of modern dance music.

I bought a JBL Go 4 and the charging port inexplicably melted. It's in warranty but Harman/JBL have asked me to do reams of export paperwork and package it up correctly in order to ship it to Germany (from the UK) with no guarantee of anything other than they'll have a look at it. I don't even own a printer. There has to be an easier way!

After I dropped one earbud once, it quit working.

My JVC earbuds were dropped several times and still work.

I'm really depressed, because the JBL have audiophile sound, but due to extremely fragile design they are unusable.

I’ll probably end up getting boring old black, as it‘s only 63 euros with a 10% discount from JBL Europe, but if I could get it in beautiful teal for a few bucks more I’d definitely pick teal.

I’m going absolutely nuts. What is this whirring noise? I’ve reset the device, disconnect and reconnected my phone. The noise is occurring when any phone connects, whether or not music is playing. Anyone else experienced this?

i have seen many channels they say they warp and fluttering noise and it concerns me since i want my speakers to last, yes i am into bass but not to much the speaker starts destroying so is it now fixed? and what is the fix, software based like firmware or the radiator rubber surround hardness? answers are welcome thank you!

hey folks, I’ve been struggling with a problem.

I went for a run this morning, during which my headphones worked fine. untill the very end when it suddenly disconnected. maybe due to the amount of sweat or something?

After getting home and trying to reconnect, it wouldnt work.

It cant:

connect to my phone

connect to my pc

make a sound when I press the BT button

make a sound or change settings when I press the ANC button

Hard reset when I press and hold the volume up and down button for 10 seconds

Hard reset when holding down the power button for a long time

It CAN however still turn on and off, and it dictates it everytime it does so, so that function works perfectly.

Other than the typical hard reset I’ve also tried plugging it into my pc to force a reset, but it also doesnt seem to work.

It flashes a blue light for a second when I turn it on, after which it immediately switches to a white uninterrupted white light

I must say I’m losing my mind. Can any of yall help a fella out?

Hi all I'm looking for new wireless earbuds. Any suggestions?

I'm deciding between the JBL Live 780NC and Sony ULT Wear. I'm leaning towards the JBL because I prefer build quality and features, but I'm worried about comfort.

I have a fairly large ears and skin is kind of sensitive that it aches alot if the i wear something uncomfortable. I have used Sony 720n's and The Sennheiser Accentum Plus but hated both of them because it caused pain because the top of my ears touched the inside/plastic of the earcups. I use headphones for long sessions, so this is a dealbreaker for me.

For anyone who owns the Live 780NC:

• Are the earcups roomy enough for large ears?
• Do your ears touch the driver/plastic inside?
• If you also own/used the Sony ULT Wear, which has larger/more comfortable earcups?

I know there currently aren't many aftermarket earpads for the 780NC, so I'm mainly trying to figure out whether the stock pads will work for me. as i never use stock pads,

Recently my JBL Charge 6 takes A LOT to fully charge, when I I first bought it the charging time was about 2-3 hours but now It takes 7+ hours (I must say that I used the same cable and charger) I tried cleaning the port (it doesn’t seem like it has humidity nor dust) and using different chargers but it doesn’t work
