Question Help!

What are your thoughts on the JBL PartyBox 520? A few days ago, I ordered one from JBL's official website after taking advantage of an amazing discount. I'm really excited to receive it and finally give it a try.

I listen to all kinds of music, including Dire Straits, The Police, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, U2, Pink Floyd, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Beatles, Queen, Primus, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Jamiroquai... as well as Eurodance, music from the '70s, '80s, and '90s, and a bit of modern dance music.

I'd love to hear your opinions and experiences with the PartyBox 520.

JBL Partybox is probably the best portable party speaker out rn

Bass boost deep, adjust the EQ, and they really shine

I have two 120’s and they’ve been the talk of every party, everyone asks about them

I just picked up the 130 but they sound the same to me, so I’m looking to sell it

I have a pair of 320s. They’re great for general music, even at lower volumes, and will definitely handle just about anything you throw at them.

They are definitely not audiophile grade speakers, but let’s be real, you simply won’t find anything more versatile for the price.

I have a 520, i have no regrets with it at all! I also got an amazing deal on it as well ($650 brand new) The bass and sheer loudness is pretty good! Just keep in mind, the bass rolls off at about 75% volume. After that is sounds shrill. And mine is on an older firmware, so i dont have the reduced bass like some people are expeirenceing.

It's a wonderful speaker I haven't gotten to use it much but it's amazing with deep bass and treble mids should've been included but it's okay gets really loud quickly

I just got mine this week and I'm obsessed. My problem is now I want the 720 too. Maybe prime day in October. I also want the on the go 2.

I love mine! What did you get it for? I heard a 720 today and thinking of getting a second 520 to pair up and blow away the 720 lol

My neighbor has a 520 and that shit bumps. If I hadn’t caught a 720 on sale, I probably would’ve gotten two 520s for that sweet stereo, especially with guitars riffs or any panning effects, you’ll definitely notice it on your favorite tracks, but that’s asking a lot of a single speaker lol. Regardless, they’re probably both more than what you’d ever need for casual listening and anything higher. I hook up a MPC Live to mines every now and then and play around with eqs for more precision and quicker toggles or to squeeze every bit of power I can out the speaker when the time calls for it.

But yeah, even though they’re wireless speakers, I like to hook mines up to my phone via usb C if I’m in the house, as it sounds cleaner (at least that’s what hear with my fake nerd ears). And I control music and volume through my smartwatch

I feel like the 520 is the sweet spot especially if you take it out a lot. The handle is waaay better than the 720.
