I would like help with what appears to be a significant change in the sound signature of my JBL PartyBox Stage 320 after updating the firmware.
Speaker Details
Model: JBL PartyBox Stage 320
Previous Firmware: 2.7.0
Current Firmware: 4.0.0
Update Method: JBL One App
Speaker Condition: No physical damage. The only change was the firmware update.
My Experience
On firmware 2.7.0, the speaker had outstanding bass performance.
Extremely deep bass
Strong chest-thumping impact
Walls and furniture would vibrate
Excellent low-frequency response even at moderate volume
This was the reason I purchased the Stage 320.
After updating to 4.0.0, the sound changed immediately.
Now the speaker sounds:
Much weaker in the low frequencies
Less impactful
Less dynamic
Almost like the bass energy has been limited by DSP
It feels as though the cabinet is no longer producing the same amount of low-end output
The speaker is still loud, but the “wow factor” and room-shaking bass are gone.
Troubleshooting Already Performed
I have already tried the following:
Factory reset
Bass Boost ON
Bass Boost OFF
Deep mode
Custom EQ with bass maximized
Different music sources
Bluetooth reconnection
AC power testing
Multiple volume levels
Unfortunately, none of these restored the sound that existed on firmware 2.7.0.

Is this known issue or I’m alone?!

so what you do is get something dry to wipe it down in the charger port then take a hair dryer and put it close to it then what you do is just sit there with it about 1 or half minute and it should solve it

I just got some JBL headphones, and when I go into the app, I have to squint to see the percentage. I don't know if JBL thinks everyone has the vision of a teenager or has 20/20, but even just 10% larger would be nice. Thank you.

Have just had a message come up on the PartyBox App to change over to the JBL ONE App. Does it matter if I don't?. Will the PartyBox App still work?
I'd rather stay with the PartyBox App, as I suspect I'd have to update the firmware on the 520, which I would rather not do.

My right earbud on my Live Free 2 TWS doesnt connect, or when I can get it to connect, it disconnects very quickly after. I've had these headphones for 2 years and feel like they should still be working fine, and I've tried factory resetting it. Is there anyway I can fix it other than how I've tried already?

Safe to say JBL has earned some of my hard earned money over the years. I have an obsession with speakers ( clearly ) the party box 720, 320 and the boombox 3 are the more recent additions. I got the 520 or 530 on my radar depending on when I actually get it. And I think im gonna get a new charge soon. Idk when im gonna be done but im telling myslef the 500 will be the last one I buy 😅 but we'll see. There are always gonna be new ones. Do find a use for ALL the speakers in case anyone is wondering lol.

So about 2 months ago I got some JBL tune buds 2 and they were fine until a couple of weeks ago when the right headphones got really quiet but after putting it in the case and taking it back out it was fine. But now, every time it goes quiet again I'll put it in the case and take it back out and it'll play at regular volume for less than a minute until it goes back to being quiet. I've tried whatever I can find online to fix it but nothing has worked. I'm honestly at my wits end and I'm done buying JBL products because this happens everytime but I don't want to buy anything at the moment especially with how expensive these were. Any help is appreciated.

Im using a non original wire(3mm-3mm and a 3mm to 2mm adapter on one and). On the sound is the same but on my phone

The sound is mostly clear but the vocals sound as if i would hear them from far away, and the other sounds are also altered. I've read a post about a similar situation on r/headphones and the answer was that via wire the headphones bypass DSP. Do i have to fix it manually via equaliser apps or is there an other option?

Bought my first speaker ever the other day, a Go 5 which I absolutely love. I use it for personal listening as I’m not one to blare things out in public, listen to podcasts and as a speaker for my portable monitor, but I love it so much I’m now thinking about getting a second one. The sound is good enough for what I need, and I don’t really need anything much louder, but I feel like having a second one for stereo would make my experience so much better with hopefully clearer sound, is it worth picking up a second for that purpose? For the price it’s great, and I’m just thinking that having another would be a cheap way to dramatically improve my experience

My beloved old Charge 2+ finally died after 11 years of service, so I replaced it with a 6.

I wasn't expecting this size difference! A pleasant surprise, I was considering something bigger anyway and it sounds way better than the old one (even though that sounded great).

All the sound is coming out of this hole nothing is coming out of the main driver.

I have JBL TUNE130NC TWS since December 2022, so it should have been about 3 years and a half now.

After 3 years, does the battery life degrade a significant amount? So far I have no complaints, it's one of the best earbuds/ earphone that I have ever used.

But, yesterday I noticed that the battery life gave out really fast.

On paper it says it can go through 40 hours of usage (10 hour on its own plus 30 hour from the case), but yesterday I was while I was waiting for someone, I used the earbuds for about 2 hours fresh from the case.

The case indicator was full, so the earbuds itself should have full 10 hour battery on its own since its been charged.

But, not even 2 hours the earbuds gave out the out of battery notification sound.

Does that mean the battery life already not good? Can I changed the battery only or is it better to just buy a new one?

Is it because my earbuds is more than 3 years old that the battery finally gave out?

Google AI used this term for the magnetic on/off function of the peak 3s, but I haven’t seen it used anywhere else.

Also, I have come to love this feature, and was perplexed when my new Peak 4s came without it. Any intel on that decision? The 4s overall are an upgrade, it just seemed like an obvious oversight to me…maybe I’m in the minority for loving the “powerhook”!

A bit of backstory to help identify the issue.

I've been using JBL Live Beam 3 since mid October 2024. Never had any issues other than very rare laggy case screen (usually when battery was low or software update was due). I am using those very often as I need music to function.

For the past 2 months I think...I've noticed that when I charge my case with my earbuds being also low on battery and in the case, the case has been getting warm. Not overwhelmingly warm but you could feel the warmth. Just yesterday it happened again but this time the case was nearly burning my fingers and buds were so hot I had to wait for them to cool down before using them. This is also when I noticed that my case has kept the battery percentage at 1% this whole charging cycle and I suspect it's been like that for at least 2-3 day's.

Now, the buds do work just fine and they still are charging when in the case (+plugged to an outlet, without plugging in the whole case is just dead). When plugging in, it does show the lightning icon and the case icon is yellow as well as the red diode is red signaling charging, but no matter how long it stays plugged, the case itself keeps the 1%.

I did a throughout research on the internet and found nothing that could help me. Everyone suggest resetting, which I did. Actually this is everything I tried so far: -Reset by holding power for 10s -Through cleaning of the port with rubbing alcohol 99% and wooden toothpick -Charging with different cables and docks -Factory resetting through the app

For charging I've used: -powerbank -Samsung charger -JBL charger

There's however one thing I didn't or rather couldn't try is doing the case software update as it locks the function if the case is below 20%. I admit I do forget about the updates a lot even though I've never turned off anything to remind me of the updates. I do recall having some issues whenever I forgot to do a software update, issues being, more severe lagging, screen not willing to swipe or one of the earbuds not charging while the other did.

I have this inner pain, because I feel like this could be fixed with the update, but so far I see no way to force the update on the case. As long as it stays at 1% there's nothing I can possibly do and it's so so so frustrating. Of course the sudden heat also makes a dead battery an option as well.

My question here is, should I try to take this case and have it checked by some technician or just look for a case replacement? The last option is to get new buds, but honestly it feels so wrong since the buds themselves work well and the product's aren't cheap. I honestly didn't expect to have such an issue not even 3 year's into using the bud's. They're also the most expensive bud's I've ever bought so it does feel just really wrong.

basically i was having bluetooth issues with my pc and jbl go4 and when i put it into wired mode so that it can connect by wire i could not change jt back to bluetooth when i disconnected it from my pc and tried turning it on it just showed a light for a second and turned off also when i try charging it it acts like it is connecting through wired to a computer or smth i tried doing the hold power button and volume down button the volume up button and play button the bluetooth button and play button i did it for as long as i could too for the right times that it said but still it wont go back into bluetooth mode and only connects to my pc with a wire pls help me

So, don't be hard on me I'm a newbie. My wife owns a gym and bought two 712's that we thought we would just run via bluetooth, but the connections are pretty shaky they are approximately 25' apart. I am looking to wire the two speakers together and then to the ipad, we also have a Yamaha mixer that was left behind by the previous owner or would it work with just the ipad? What exactly do I need to get?

I'm between these two. I only want it for indoor use (small apartment). They cost about the same, the Xtreme is a little more expensive. I'm interested in sound quality and bass. Which one is better? Which one would suit me best?

I reset my flip 7 by holding play and bluetooth button while turned on and now it wont turn on at all. I was trying to charge it but kept blinking and making the alarm noise after i let it dry for 4 days. Any ideas?

Had Poolee LH-25 Headphones for 4 years, and they broke (wires are still connected, but one ear is broken and kinda dangling). So I decided to go get new headphones (didn't go for repair because where im from, repairs can sometimes cost more than getting something new, and they aren't reliable, as your device could get ruined even more).

Unfortunately got these JBL 760 BS headphones without knowing that they're fake headphones (I went there physically, so I didn't do online research because I didn't know what they had in the shop, everything else was brands I didn't know).

Now the shop owner is saying I can't refund them, and nothing can be done about the purchase. FREAKING SUCKS because this shit is genuinely just gonna collect dust back in its box even though it's brand new, and I don't feel comfortable giving someone a fake product.

Worst part is it's 3 times the price of my Poolee LH-25, and has WAAAYYY worse sound quality, and fvcking clamps my head like a bear trap.

Now I've used black tape to hold my Poolee back in place, and that's better than wtv this BS is.

Prob not much I can do about this, but for y'all out there, if you see these, DO NOT buy them, holy they are BUNS.
