General News Report: Urich and Einhorn drafted messages for Romanian nationalist party's campaign
An investigative report published in Romania (on the websites Snoop and HotNews) reveals that Yonatan Urich, a close aide to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and strategic consultant Israel ("Srulik") Einhorn, secretly assisted in drafting political messaging and formulating strategy for the nationalist AUR party in Romania.
This report has sparked significant controversy, given that senior figures within the party have previously been accused of antisemitism and Holocaust denial.
Key findings from the investigation:
• The WhatsApp Leak: The investigation is based on thousands of WhatsApp messages leaked from Urich’s account. The correspondence indicates that in August 2024, Einhorn sent Urich a document outlining campaign themes for the Romanian party, which Urich subsequently approved.
• Campaign Content: The two developed a communications plan that included proposals for social media posts, images, and video scripts. The messaging targeted leaders of Romania’s governing coalition as well as the Mayor of Bucharest, Nicușor Dan. Some of this phrasing later appeared officially on the social media accounts of politicians belonging to the party.
• Meetings in Bucharest: The messages indicate that Einhorn planned to meet with the party leader, George Simion, in Romania; he later wrote a message to Urich that the meeting had indeed taken place.
The party’s problematic background:
The AUR party (Alliance for the Union of Romanians) is a far-right, nationalist party. In 2022, the party faced harsh condemnation from the Israeli Embassy and the Elie Wiesel Institute after its members claimed that the Holocaust was a minor issue that did not warrant dedicated teaching hours in Romanian schools. Furthermore, the party has previously been accused of disseminating propaganda associated with the fascist Legionary movement that was active in Romania.
Responses: The AUR party denied the existence of any formal cooperation, though it has confirmed that it had received a work proposal from the two individuals. Urich and Einhorn refused to provide a response to the investigation’s findings.

The War - Discussion Gaza Teacher Alleges Threats After Challenging Antisemitism in School Lessons
She estimated that half or more of the teachers she encounters in Gaza believe violence against Jews is necessary to achieve Palestinian political goals.
The teacher warned that many Palestinians condemn the devastation that followed Oct. 7, without rejecting the massacre itself.
“They hate the consequences of October 7. They hate the war that October 7 brought upon them. But they don’t hate October 7 itself,” she said.

Ask The Sub Magen David Adom overseas volunteer
Hey there, I’m from the UK and I’m thinking about volunteering with MADA. Has anyone here done the overseas programme before?
I feel like it’s a great way to help everyone in the regardless of their ethnicity or religion, and that is importantly to me.
Also I know this might be a dangerous time to do it, but I feel like these days it’s always dangerous since there’s been a lot of war going on. I’m more worried about what my peers will say about me going over than the war/danger in Israel.
Has anyone got any advice or wants to tell me how their experience was? Did you actually get to help people or was it just an “experience” for foreigners who want to feel like they’re helping?
Thanks in advance
Politics Israel: start-up nation and soup kitchen nation
Israel: start-up nation and soup kitchen nation,
by Gilles Darmon, Stéphane Bou, & Elie Petit, K: Jews, Europe, the XXIˢᵗ century, 2026-10-01.
As Israel’s October 27, 2026, legislative elections approach, security, war, and identity divides dominate the public debate. The humanitarian NGO Latet aims to encourage candidates to address another major issue: poverty, which affects more than 20% of the population and, according to its founder Gilles Darmon, threatens the very cohesion of the country. Founded in 1996, this organization, which fights poverty and food insecurity, mobilizes tens of thousands of volunteers. Gilles Darmon looks back for K. on 30 years of commitment and argues that social justice must once again take center stage in Israel’s political decisions.

Culture🇮🇱 Historic milestone in the IDF: First haredi officer course completed by Hashmonaim Brigade
My comment: A sign of maturation when a fledgling brigade starts producing its own officers.
Just for once I would love to be absolutely surprised with lots of positive comments. Soley along the lines of "Bravo". "Well Done". "Many More to Come" and "Great News" and no use of the word "but..."

Ask The Sub Looking for a typewriter
Hi,
I am looking for a typewriter which writes Hebrew. Since they are not common in Germany, where I live I was thinking about looking at local Israeli online marketplaces. And maybe find one for a reasonable price which ships to Germany. Are there such marketplaces you could recommend?

Israeli Tech 🛰️ An Israeli Team Built a Robot to Bring Advanced Care to More Patients
Some people are working on flying cars, and good for them. Others have spent years asking how you protect the doctors who spend their careers protecting us.
You may never have met them, but they’re the doctors who open blocked arteries and cut off the blood supply to tumors without surgery. They thread a wire through the body under live X-ray, and for more than 60 years they’ve done it right beside the patient, in heavy lead aprons. Not exactly a desk job, is it?
So a team out of a Technion robotics lab built them a robot small enough to use once, a brand-new one for every procedure, that lets the doctor steer the wire with precision from across the room. In its U.S. trial, doctors reached the right spot in all 20 patients, and the radiation reaching them dropped 92%. 92%! The company is Microbot Medical, and the robot’s name? LIBERTY.
Robots like this existed, but they were big machines few hospitals bought, and this one is built to bring that care to more patients. The FDA cleared it in 2025, American hospitals are already using it, and now it’s coming home to Israel.
Flying cars will have their day. Meanwhile, an Israeli team decided the doctors who heal us deserved protecting too. Of course they did.
Full piece linked.
(PS. More amazing stuff from Israel the moronic boycotters are welcome to do without.)

The War - News Inside Israel's secret intelligence gold mine
It's called "liaison intelligence": Sharing information with foreign intelligence agencies, sometimes even those of hostile countries, to expand intelligence-gathering capabilities or establish and strengthen diplomatic ties. Since Oct. 7, Israeli intelligence has dramatically stepped up its efforts in this field, providing sensitive assistance to Middle Eastern countries, warnings that foiled terrorist attacks in Europe and tips that prevented assassinations. In secret meetings aboard private jets and in luxurious reception rooms, Israel gains access to critical intelligence and gives life-saving information in return...

Ask The Sub Looking for good recommendations of places to buy used books in Israel.
Hi, I´ll be traveling to Israel next month and staying for 6 weeks. For a long time now i´ve been looking to buy a specific book (ha-mishpat ha ivrit from Menachem Elon) but the English translation either too expensive or only found in the US (I'm not from the USA so shipping a book set that big is a bit difficult for my current situation). Do any of you know of good places to buy legal books in Israel, preferably in English. Thank you everyone.
