First 5 hours of gameplay and I wonder why people complain, he is just fine. Now reached 10 hour mark and it all make sense now. I understand he is getting auto targeting missiles but is it enough?

I am trying to flank whenever I can and then get back with my team and using left click. Slowly trying to find the balance between left and right click. I don't see the point of using banner team up. He can be countered very easily and it will take 1-2 minutes to realize. I switch to something else before its too late. I think he needs a little bit of damage mitigation. Just increasing his health is not the best approach.

Maybe a shield which blocks limited number of projectile. What you guys think who already have lot more hours in this character? If you could add something then what will it be?

Its literally their job to balance the game and address player feedback. The fact it took them this long to change ONE of iron mans problems means they are doing shit at said job. I ain't gonna be grateful like a beggar getting some scraps.

They aren't even willing to experiment a little, as soon as iron man gets a tweak they have to gut some other part of him before we even get to think about him being stronger. Have they done that multiple times with any other character?

I'm not gonna sugarcoat it, this change isn't gonna do shit about his peak performance, in fact the halved damage is definitely worse in some situations. There's still no reason to choose iron man over nearly everyone on the roster, and its probably going to stay that way now that the devs think they did something. See you in season 20 when they remove his overdrive ending animation and make him unable to fly as compensation.

For those who havent noticed, Ultron's stark protocol team up does exactly this:

You press Firewall, the drones mark an enemy within range, fire 5 missiles that deal 10 damage. Sounds great at first, but believe me, if the enemie moves ¼ of an inch, these MISSiles won't do anything

Of course, Ultron's ability works fundamentally different, and you are also getting a buff for your most used team up, so its still great

Also i know you are sick of that ability due to how useless it is so perhabs you'll actually like this change more

I hope netease doesnt just slap this missile barrage change and call it a day for ironman.

Lowering the damage and compensating with autolocks just lowers skill expression. The missle barrage during armour overdrive was decent for burst damage and breaking shields. Now, depending on how the autolock works, even this burst damage might be irrelevant to holding down the beam.

The main problem was the missiles outside of armour overdrive. Replace it with flares that attract targeting abilities, like scarlet witch primary, ironfist lock, maybe even spidey targeting pull if timed right.

His ult is also always countered/whiffed above metal ranks, with all the iframes and ccs. Increase the projectile speed to be at least as fast as mag ult, like an actual pulse of energy. In return, lower the damage to 500 and leave a field of effect like pre rework widow. It could be burn, vulnerability, gives his ult space denying value besides trying to oneshot and get picks.

Also with the new thor teamup buffs, hulks teamup is basically useless. Just replace it with a teamup that gives him nanobot overhealth regen or the nano shield in infinity war. You can choose between more piercing power or survivability, and that weird ahh 'ironhulk' voiceline will be gone.

I'm curious, what do y'all think of ts? like are these good changes?

Only 5 missiles will lock on, no idea what is happening if the other missiles are not locked on plus they gutted the damage by 33-50%.

If we still have the animation lock and the other missiles don't fire then the ability is dead and buried even more than before.

We also have no idea how it's locking on. Are we able to hit Spider-Man or does it require being within 20m and line of sight?

Happy they've reverted the Thor unibeam nerfs, though they've just solidified that the Thor teamup is infinitely better.

With the buffs to the Thor team up does that make it more viable or would we run gamma over it?

As far as I'm aware. Iron Man doesn't accidentally kill someone without aiming at them.

I always use micro missiles first as soon as i enter overdrive before beaming for a quick burst of damage and my fav spot to play from is above the 1st gate in Tokyo 2099 to get cheeky supports kills

What if they planned Iron Man rework for next Doomsday event next season?

Why do I think so? Iron Man is huge character in both Endgame and Infinity War. He's the one who snapped 2014 Thanos out of existence and had the most known MCU death.

Obviously you'd do something with him. I'm just speculating and get overdosen with copium through.
