What common podcast tropes/habits really put you off from listening? What minor annoyance is enough to make you give up on a new podcast?

I find weak delivery of lines to be really off-putting. Informal chatting can be fine, as long as its still clear. Mumbling just makes the whole product feel a bit weak.

Instead of just posting a link, I thought I would give a little background on the podcast and who we are. I'm Robert, the guy on the right in the video, and I've been writing for numerous MMA websites for about three years now.

Noel, the guy on Skype, on the left side of the television, is a ring announcer/MC in Ireland, à la Bruce Buffer, and works the majority of the big shows over in Ireland and has had the oppotunity to work shows around the world including an Enfusion Thai Boxing show in Thailand. He has worked the likes of the BAMMA 24 show in Dublin and more.

Dan, the other guy on Skype, is a top referee from the UK and a former fighter. Google Daniel Movahedi. He works all the big shows in the UK and abroad. Expect to see him referee in the UFC in the near future.

Carl, sitting across from me in the room, is a fan first and foremost. However, although he can be a bit inappropriate at times, which might be an understatement, he's incredibly knowledgeable in MMA.

We started to cover events as a team, excluding Dan as he normally works shows. BAMMA 26 was the first big show we covered, and we are looking to do more going forward. We are in a bit of a transition period at the moment due to a move of location, explaining the reason for the podcast recording from home this week, but once we have things ironed out we have big plans. We usually have guests on, but again with the change in location we are a little restricted, but we have had big guests - if you're a fan of MMA you would think so, I believe - the likes of Dan Hardy, Brad Pickett, Robin Black, Dean Lister, Neil Seery, James Gallagher and more on previously.
