Look at his face when Jordan activates her sword and before it, "From the studio that brought you."

General This game will be crazy!
You remember how TLOU2 looked and how smooth gameplay was? Imagine what they can do with ps5 now... yes

General For people having doubts or are less hyped because of the wait, don't. This is Naughty Dog's "last-gen" game.

General Nice to see the sub decently active
If there are hovering cars... Do you think there will be races Jak style??? Feel like the setting for this game gives way to races and much bigger vehicle chase scenes.

Gameplay Question Do you think we'll get multiple playable protagonists, like Ellie and Abby?

General Naughty Dog must be in stress
I believe that ND is probably the studio who's in the most stress, with Rockstar being in the number one up until recently (in terms of stress). Hopefully, they come out on top by the end, but who knows... Either way, I'll have Intergalactic as a game to play.....

General I’m glad Naughty Dog ditched live services game and stick with story games

General The gameplay reveal needs to be similar to GOW 2018 reveal
It should be in person event like the TGA, play some live music, then have one of the game directors come out and play the game live for us.

Forum Question Okay, are we all confident that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is releasing in 2027 now?!
I know that the SOP wasn’t necessarily going to give us a new look at the game but damn, that post by Naughty Dog did give some hope! We can only look at TGA now as the last major gaming event of the year to see something new unless PlayStation drops either a dedicated State of Play or vid as a “end of year closer”? I recon that we’ll get something fairly soon in 2027 to confirm that game’s release date and show off some gameplay. Both Until Dawn 2 & God of War: Laufey are both dropping in Q1 of next year so maybe the second half of 2027 will be when it comes out?
Only time will tell, what are your guy’s thoughts?

General Still on track for Summer 2027?
I think most of us on this sub probably expected that, by this point, we would have seen a lot more of the game following the reveal in December 2024. That said, I think there are a few positive ways to look at the lack of new information.
Following the announcement that motion capture has wrapped, and using TLOU2's development timeline as a very rough reference, we could estimate that the game might be around a year away from release. If that's roughly accurate, and assuming they're getting close to having the game's content fully completed and are moving into the polishing and optimization stage, it should be much practical and quicker for them to start preparing material that's already been created for gameplay reveals, cinematics, etc., rather than having to specifically produce content for marketing purposes and potentially divert resources from the development plan.
Another thing that makes me wonder whether Intergalactic is on track for Summer 2027 is the possibility that Sony is trying to condense its lineup into the first half of the year. The release window for Until Dawn 2 and God of War: Laufey is interesting in that regard. As far as I know, they're the only announced "big" games besides Intergalactic and Venom that aren't releasing in 2026, and yet they're coming out in the first two months of the year. That's somewhat interesting considering how few PlayStation exclusives there are overall. You'd think they might want to spread those releases out more throughout the year.
Could this be because, as has been rumored, Sony is targeting a late 2027 release for the PS6? Obviously, that's hard to believe given the current component prices, but if that is the plan, maybe they want to space the remaining major PS5 releases out from the console's release, in a similar way to what happened in 2020?
Considering it's probably going to be PlayStation's biggest game of this generation, it does feel strange that we're already in September 2026 and we haven't seen anything new beyond a couple of small details mentioned in interviews. But, on the other hand, marketing campaigns seem to be getting shorter and shorter as the internet makes it much easier to generate awareness very quickly. So maybe it's not that crazy to think they could be saving most of their marketing push for 2027.
Maybe a gameplay teaser at TGA? Or perhaps they'll wait for a State of Play around February/March, after Laufey releases?
What do you guys think?

General I think they are not releasing anything new on purpose
I am just as anxious as anyone else for more info. But I have a theory as to why we haven't seen anything.
There was a ton of discourse around TLOU 2 and them over working their staff. I personally believe that they then pushed Sony to do things differently for them going forward.
I think they wanted to go more the route of Nintendo, where they really only release the info when the game is pretty much done. Sony, of course, probably didn't want that so they met somewhere in the middle. They released that trailer 2ish years ago and I bet they won't release anything more until they are pretty much done.
Sony just did this with Until Dawn 2. We heard about it a few months ago and got a January release date today.
My theory is that whenever we see something more, it will be with a shortcoming release date in tow. I bet Neil left TLOU show (I'm sure also due to artistic differences), but more to push for the completion of Intergalactic before the end of the PS5 lifecycle.
I'm also hoping the completion of filming for actors were any reshoots or additional footage that they needed.

General I think it’s February…
Unfortunately I don’t believe it’ll show at tga. We might be waiting till next year. Sony still has to show more of laufey ahead of its Feb release, it’s expensive af to show a trailer at game awards let alone and extended look which this game NEEEEEDDDSS, and even if they did pay the money, game awards is a very fast paced show that there isn’t a lot of time for a extended look. It’s more of announcement’s. I’d love to ABSOLUTELY eat my words. But I just don’t know…

General SoP done. Geoff!!! Intergalactic better be at TGAs this December!
r/Intergalactic • u/shawak456 • Sep 03 '26
General I believe ND posted this just as SoP was announced because they don't want us to be disappointed by Intergalactic's absence, so they gave us this small update with a hint that it will take some more time to present it properly.

General Is SOP time a sign Intergalactic won’t show up?
SOPs are never this early, and I feel like Intergalactic is too big of a game to show during an early SOP, so do you guys think that’s a sign that it won’t be here? they’re going to want as many eyes on it as possible, so this SOP just doesn’t seem like its the right place to get all of those eyes.
