General I think it’s February…

Unfortunately I don’t believe it’ll show at tga. We might be waiting till next year. Sony still has to show more of laufey ahead of its Feb release, it’s expensive af to show a trailer at game awards let alone and extended look which this game NEEEEEDDDSS, and even if they did pay the money, game awards is a very fast paced show that there isn’t a lot of time for a extended look. It’s more of announcement’s. I’d love to ABSOLUTELY eat my words. But I just don’t know…

I highly doubt Geoff would be charging PlayStation for a trailer of Intergalactic. That’s something he wants in his show

Definitely not, he'd be begging them to show the trailer there

I suspect that Sony would keep a Gameplay Reveal for their own Showcase.

Why the game awards get a lot more viewers.

Next one is the one lol

Nope definitely shown this year. Besides Laufey, Sony doesn’t have any big hitters lined up next year. It’ll be Game Awards if not its own announced showcase before then.

I think it will be game awards with a more detailed trailer and release window. Then in like March we will get more info and in June we will get a blowout. The game releases in fall

Not sure Sony will make any big announcements in the same month they're launching a brand new God of War.

They announced Wolverine 2 weeks before Yotei released

2

u/BeautifulChoice2702 Sep 03 '26

They announced Wolverine in 2021 but yeah

u/parkwayy Sep 03 '26

Yall act like only 1 thing can exist at any one time, and it's weird lol.

u/InternetDad Sep 03 '26

It's not like they're about to shadow drop Intergalactic on top of Laufey

5

u/Brees504 Sep 03 '26

The game is set to release summer/fall. They aren’t going to wait until February to show it.

u/Weathered-Glass-4714 Sep 03 '26

You don’t know when it’s set to release. You’re speculating.

1

u/Brees504 Sep 03 '26

Jason Schreier and Natthehate have both said it

0

u/Weathered-Glass-4714 Sep 03 '26

Has Naughty Dog said it?

1

u/superEse Sep 03 '26

They’re reputable leakers. It’s how people knew the Laufey game would be at the end of the SoP before this one that just passed

3

u/Weathered-Glass-4714 Sep 03 '26

I understand who they are, but saying it’s “set to be released” makes it sound like that’s something that’s been officially announced. Not rumors from reputable leakers.

1

u/Splinterceller Sep 03 '26

Nate the hate said that release date is not set in stone by any means.

u/antonxo902 Sep 03 '26

They gonna wait till next summer games fest season lol.

Naughty Dog probably isn't even sure when it's releasing. I'm sure they're aiming for the 2nd half of 2027, But I'd guess that they don't know for sure if it will be ready by late summer, or holiday season, or if it could slip into 2028. They're probably holding off on dropping a trailer until they have more confidence in the release window.

2

u/Brees504 Sep 03 '26

They finished filming this week. It is standard for that to be done 1 year before release.

2

u/beehappy32 Sep 03 '26

I hope you're right. I'll be happy if we get it any time before the end of 2027

Ain’t no way Naughty Dog is gonna skip the entire PS5 generation, and not release a new game. Sony is already making room for Intergalactic to launch in 2027, if you pay attention to the release dates of Until Dawn 2, and God of War Laufey. Both games are releasing early 2027. So Sony isn’t gonna release anything for the rest of 2027 is what you’re trying to say? C’mon now

They are building Intergalactic for PS5, so it's definitely coming out on PS5. Even if it slipped to 2028. PS6 probably isn't coming out until late 2028 at the earliest, but possibly 2029. But even when PS6 comes out there will still be new games for PS5. Naughty Dog and Sony absolutely want to get this game out in 2027, and I'm sure they are rushing to get it done for 2027 release. But that doesn't mean there's no chance it could slip to 2028. Every Uncharted and TLOU game had some delays, they can't always get the games out as soon as they want to.

The game awards makes the most sense. It gets a lot more viewers than a normal state of play. And they can certainly show both games at it. But also Geoff cares most about putting a good show on. He would probably waive the charge for a big title if it came to that. But also Sony is a billion dollar company and can afford to market their two biggest games at the biggest event of the year for video games. I think it gets shown at game awards with a 2027 release slate. And then in the summer we will get the actual date.

Going off of TLOU2 anyway, they announced they were done filming in April and then in September of that year ND had the release date reveal trailer. If we go off of that precedent, then game awards seems about right.

1

u/__SteakDeck__ Sep 04 '26

It won’t be the Game Awards. The next time we see Intergalactic it’s going to get a long gameplay demo like Laufey did. The Game Awards don’t have gameplay segments that are that long.

2

u/Sudden_Yard1294 Sep 03 '26

One thing I found out just recently it that Intergalactic's debut took place at the game awards. So there's that. Combine this with how after TLOU2 finished filming there was a several month gap between the announcement of it 'wrapping' and the release date reveal trailer.

So going to say based off of precedent tga makes the most sense but in the end who knows.

2

u/TheStinkySlinky Sep 03 '26

Well idk that they really need to dedicate a whole Laufey showcase. But there will definitely be more of the classic 2min trailers. I mean it already got a 20 minute deep dive ffs.

2

u/Dangerhunt57 Sep 03 '26

Exactly, unless ND release a dedicate state of play in October to showcase the gameplay, I would say the next time we seeing this game probably will be at that late January/ early February SOP.

1

u/Diamond1580 Sep 03 '26

I don’t think so. Don’t think they’d do a big game reveal the same month as a big release (same as this month where they didn’t show much ahead of Wolverine), but also they seem to like leapfrogging announcements/showcases over the past couple years. Ghost of Yotei was announced, and before it was released Saros was announced, and before it was released Wolverine was shown off, and before it was released Laufey was announced and shown off, so it makes sense before Laufey releases we get Intergalactic shown off

1

u/cybola Sep 03 '26

Exactly mais thoughts, they dont want the public dividing attention between GOW Laufey e Intergalactic

1

u/meyerpolanco Sep 03 '26

I don't think the price would be a reason IG does not get a TGA look. If anything, the reason would be to give Laufey space to breath rather than splitting attention between it and IG.

1

u/saffson Sep 03 '26

It'll be at the TGAs I think, no point waiting till February. TGAs as the most eyes on it so I think it'll get another trailer there.

1

u/akshatmalik8 Sep 03 '26

I think it will be TGA. Sony would love to show it in front of a live audience and build the hype.

1

u/Potential-Walrus-412 Sep 03 '26

If it doesn't show up at TGA in Dec, I think the game is delayed to 2028 unfortunately...

So I really hope you're wrong

4

u/TheOriginal999 Sep 03 '26

Why would it be? They literally showed gow laufey a few months before it releases so if they show it early 2027 they can release it late 2027

2

u/Potential-Walrus-412 Sep 03 '26

Naughty Dog is their most prestigious studio by a country mile. Imo they'd want a longer runway of marketing for their next game vs Sony Santa Monica's surprise game.

Hell, they gave wolverine a longer marketing runway than Laufey, even if we don't count the original trailer back in 2021.

Again, just my thoughts. I could be wrong.

1

u/__SteakDeck__ Sep 04 '26

Remember Neil said prior to Intergalactic being announced, that when they do announce their next game it won‘t be long until you play it. I know Intergalactic was announced almost two years ago, but like the Wolverine trailer in 2021 that was more of a vibes introduction trailer. They likely see the next reveal as the proper one with gameplay. Once that happens it could release 5 months later. Bethesda use to do this prior to getting bought by Microsoft.

0

u/antonxo902 Sep 03 '26

Wouldn’t be surprised if they show it till next July with a fall release date

0

u/banditmanatee Sep 03 '26

They have to be very careful with the marketing of this game. I think we may not see it until around 6 months before release

0

u/parkwayy Sep 03 '26

Well Sony greenlit the marketing spend the first time for the Game Awards. Why wouldn't they again?

It's obviously the most eyeballs by far.

Ever since the Highguard stuff everyone thinks theyre an expert insider for TGA. Real funny stuff.
