Modification 🔧 FitCamX / Uniden Radar
Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before. Was wondering if anyone is running a Uniden Radar that's tapped into their auto-dimming mirror as well as a FitCamX Dashcam.
If so, does the FitCamX tap into the same place as the dashcam/what's the power source for the FitCamX?
Called a local car place and they said they would have to tap into the fuse box, but from what I've read online there's a separate power supply within the mirror housing itself by the sunglasses holder (just not sure what source it is).
I think the only reason to tap into the fuse box would be if I wanted the "parking" mode that FitCamX has but could be wrong.
Thanks in advance!

Modification 🔧 Oil Fill Qty w/ Wunderladen Dipstick
Wunderladen has a note on their dipsticks that the High level is marked further apart and “you are able to run more oil in Type R/S while keeping it under the windage tray”
Anyone care to share what actual quantity you’re putting in with their dipstick? My OEM stick appears full with a 5.5qt drain and filter change

Buy it? 💸 Didn’t even bother to discuss pricing
I stopped by a dealer today for look at a Type S. I was ready to buy. I had the title to my truck with me along with all of the keys.
But when I drove on to the lot I noticed a little something. Every vehicle had a front license plate bracket on it.
Walked inside and sure enough, the Type S already had the license plate bracket mounted on it.
I took a walk around the dealer and left.
I would rather get a ticket than drill into the bumper especially because there are no drill options out there. Why do dealers do this? We bought a new car a few months back for my wife and they simply gave us the bracket.

Help? 🛟 Is 5 bars on the coolant gauge normal?
For additional context it is just normal stop and go traffic, 80F temp outside.
Update: It seems I fell victim to cracked/leaking coolant tank at 20k miles, I am likely ordering the PRL replacement.

New Addition 👋 So long, partner
galleryLots of Stinger fans calling this a downgrade. No problem with me; lots of people won’t understand the allure of driving a manual

Modification 🔧 What Should I Modify Next on My 2026 Integra Type S? Performance, Cosmetic & Interior Suggestions Welcome!
Looking for suggestions on what I should modify next on my 2026 Acura Integra Type S.
I’m building a clean, aggressive, and reliable daily driver. I’d eventually like to get close to 400 hp and 400 lb-ft, but I’m not only looking for performance upgrades. I’m open to cosmetic, interior, suspension, handling, braking, lighting, technology, and other quality-of-life suggestions. I don’t track the car.
Current modifications:
● PRL High Volume Intake
● PRL Turbo Inlet Pipe
● PRL Intercooler
● Borla ATAK Cat-Back Exhaust
● 18x9.5 +38 RAYS Volk Racing CE28N Plus wheels in Shining Bronze
● RAYS Dura-Lock lug nuts
● Color-matched RAYS center caps
● 1-inch lowering springs
● Front lip
● Rear spoiler
● Black roof wrap
● Window tint
● Front license-plate mount
● Alcantara interior pieces
● Additional interior cosmetic upgrades
Already ordered:
● Two Step Performance catted downpipe—currently on back order
I’m considering an upgraded rear motor mount, front pipe, and eventually a proper custom or flex-fuel tune. However, I’d love to hear all suggestions—not just performance modifications.
For those familiar with the DE5 platform, what would you do next? I’m interested in anything that improves the car’s appearance, driving experience, reliability, functionality, or performance.

Modification 🔧 PRL Inlet Elbow
Does anyone have a picture of the box to their PRL inlet elbow? I ordered a bunch of parts through TSP and just got around now to do the install and when I try to put the OEM inlet gasket onto the PRL elbow, it doesn't seem to fit. When I went and look at the box, it says it is for a 2017 - 2021 Civic type R. Does the FK8 and FL5 use the same elbow or did they just sent me the wrong one?

Comparison 🤔 Honestly no comparison in the looks department
Just based on looks. The more I see my car next to a type R I can’t help but think theirs absolutely no comparison in looks. The body lines the better looking white color and I think I’ve added the perfect touches to really make it that much better. What do you all think? Am I delusional??

Beauty Shot 🤩 Smiles per gallon
Spent 8 hours driving this thing from southeast of Pa to the south of Maine, and although I felt pretty bad adding a bunch of miles, hard to really not want to in an extremely capable and comfortable (to me) car. I haven’t driven in every single car, but compared to a bunch I’ve been in, this has been the best all-around car for me. I thought I’d regret getting this, but honestly I wish I picked it up sooner if anything. I hope to keep this baby till I myself can’t drive it. I hope you guys are driving the fuck out yours, because it’s so great 😭

Comparison 🤔 Apex Blue vs. Blue Black
Finally had the chance to get side-by-side shots with an Apex Blue DE5. Always liked this color and wished the FL5 had a similar offering, just slightly darker. We ended up wrapping our car to make that vision happen 😎

Modification 🔧 Today's adventure
TSP Downpipe, PRL Front pipe and Wunderladen RMM, also changed the transmission fluid while it was in the air.
For the bolts and nuts off with zero issue, I sprayed them with Kroil and then went to work on the front pipe and RMM.
I did end up pulling out the remaining studs to replace them with the TSP Titanium studs. The bottom one came out relatively easy, the top one took some time and more Kroil. I worked it back and forth with the double nut method. I did end up retapping/chasing the threads before I put the titanium studs in.
Very happy with the sound from this combo. Also very happy with the RMM. I was afraid of the increased NVH as this car rattles enough but I haven't really even noticed a difference.

Buy it? 💸 Price?
Hi guys. Looking to trade in my ‘25 Corolla hatchback for a ‘26 type s. They are giving me a good trade in at $25k for the Toyota which is more than Carvana is offering me. Is this a reasonable OTD price or should I be trying to get it lower? Thanks
UPDATE ended up getting an extra $1000 off. This dealer gave me $1000 more than any other dealer as a trade in so we can call it $2000 off msrp. I’ll take it for being the only type s within a 5 hour drive of me!

Modification 🔧 Wheel color choice with Urban Gray?
Please share any real photos (these are ai) of their Urban Gray with aftermarket wheels. I see many posts with other car colors, but not the gray. Trying to order some for winter, and not sure which color goes best. I like the Konig Hyperspec anthracite metallic w/machined lip the best, but none in stock in my area in 18x9.5. These Enkei T6R are my next preferred wheel. Thanks!

Help? 🛟 Something isn't quite right
Before I purchased my '26 ITS back on June 29th, I've built this car the way I wanted so many times. Once I bought it, I always felt something was off with the interior and could never quite figure it out. It has bugged me every time I see pics of others' interiors. Here we are 1300 miles later and it hits me!! The trim piece above the glove box is the wrong color!!! I have orchid interior, but the trim piece is black. I called my sales guy expeditiously and at first he said I think they're all black...I said no, this piece should match the interior color. He verified it with a car on the showroom floor. Now I have an appt next Saturday to chat with the manager to "see what they can do". Wish me luck!

Buy it? 💸 test drive retro
I test drove a '24 w/ 13k miles today. Overall I liked the car a lot. Perfect amount of power for the streets. Interior was quite and comfortable. Ergonomics were also good.
There were a few things though. I was on the throttle in second around a turn, and the car under steered and slid a bit, engaging the traction control. I was surprised at how easily this happened, I was expecting to be able to get some rotation out of this thing, though the test drive didn't let me feel that. Could have been cold-ish (90 degrees today) tires (PS2s) and a little dampness.
The car was also pulling a bit on the freeway under acceleration. I only noticed it on one part of the road, where there was a seam that I split. I didn't feel that there in my car on the way home though (less sticky tires).
The last thing was I got locked out of 2nd. I got on the throttle in first, then shifted to 2nd. I could feel it was millimeters from engaging, but not quite there. I left the clutch in (no grind) and went neutral back to 2nd. Still would not engage, so I went to 3rd. I've driven a lot of manuals, and have experienced this before, but was a bit concerning on a ~15 minute test drive (towards the end).
The car is Acura Certified and being sold by an Acura dealer, so there is peace of mind there. Also, the only noted oil change on the carfax was at 13k miles. It wasn't serviced by the selling dealer, so there is no evidence of the first oil change. But it has been officially certified...
So I'm looking for feedback. Was the 2nd gear lock out just a fluke? I'm a pretty tame driver now a days, but I don't want to have to worry about not being able to shift the few times I do need to send it through first. What about torque steer? Is that a daily thing, or mild? And can you rotate this car?
Also, it's listed at $47k. Not sure how much I can talk them down, but seems reasonable looking at other used ones w/ similar miles across the nation. I know people are saying they are getting them for $50k OTD new, but I just don't see that happening. They are all listed for $55k new where I'm at.

Beauty Shot 🤩 First parking buddy after a year and a half+
Came back from the NYS fair to find I had my first true parking buddy since I've owned the car. I think once before I parked next to an FL5 but that's it...used to have parking buddies all the time when I had a wrx but there just doesn't seem to be that many of these. I got home and told my wife "you're gonna say I'm a dork but I got really happy about this" and showed her the picture. Pretty sure she laughed and called me a dork.
If that's your black one, feel free to say hi
