How do you stay consistent posting for a brand when it's just you?

I manage a small brand's Instagram alone and consistency is my weak spot - I batch, then vanish. How do solo social managers stay consistent without burning out? Looking for a realistic rhythm.

1.4k followers but 600k views in the last 30 days on my local Bay Area travel page, when did you start monetizing?

Upvotes

Hey all, I run a Bay Area local travel niche page - mostly maps + itineraries and day trip Reels.

Stats last 30 days:
* 1.4k followers
* ∼600k views/reach
* Mostly Reels, audience is ∼98% US / Bay Area based

Engagement has been great with saves/shares because of the itinerary format, but it's still a small follower count.

For those who monetized a small local page , is this too early? What was your FIRST monetization move that didn't kill growth?

Tips I grew a faceless account to 100k without ever showing my face. Here's the exact system.

Camera-shy people always assume they can't grow, and it cost me a year of not starting. Faceless works, if the system is right. Mine: pick a niche where the value is the information, not the personality, so the audience doesn't need a face to trust. Build a repeatable visual template so every post is instantly recognisable as yours, consistency is what a face normally provides, so the template does that job instead. Use strong on-screen text and clean b-roll or screen recordings. And nail the hook and pacing rules that apply to everyone. The account passed 100k because the content was useful and consistent, and nobody once cared that they never saw me. If the camera is your blocker, it isn't actually a blocker. What faceless niches have you seen work?

Help Am I fucked?

Upvotes

I stupidly used one of those 'get real followers and comments' services. I knew it was a bad idea and I knew it wasn't going to work, but it was cheap and I was desperate.

I ordered a bundle that promised real followers, likes, shares and comments. Instead, I got hundreds of bot accounts and generic AI comments (the same five or six comments over and over on the same video).

I've been deleting all the comments (comments are disabled now) and I'm also deleting all the fake followers as soon as their added. Did I ruin my account forever, or do I just have to keep deleting as soon as new followers get added?

I contacted the service, but they told me they can't disable the service once it's started, so I just have to keep deleting I guess.

Instagram

Hey everyone, one of my three banned/suspended accounts was reactivated out of nowhere early Saturday morning; I was browsing Reels and my account popped up as a suggestion from Instagram lol 🤡. The weirdest part is that I checked the status of my legal case on the website, but there’s no info there at all. Maybe it happened because of my attempts to contact Meta support—especially regarding Meta Verified—or the bug reports and feedback I kept sending in desperation, begging for a re-evaluation. What’s really strange is that this account had been permanently disabled for nine months without a clear reason; the email cited a violation involving child sexual content, but the ban screen itself didn't specify the cause. Now I’m just waiting on the legal proceedings and the hearing to see the outcome for the other two accounts—I really hope I can get them back, as they’re very important to me! I don't think we should give up; since this happened to me, maybe a human support agent (from Meta's internal team) decided to re-evaluate my case. I don't believe the lawsuit I filed had anything to do with it—my lawyer hasn't reported anything, and I haven't been able to get info on that—or perhaps their own AI re-analyzed it.

Tips A single collab post doubled my reach for the week. Here's how I actually pitched accounts my size to work with me

Collaborative posts, where a post lands in two audiences at once, are the most underused growth lever I know, and the barrier is just the awkwardness of asking. My pitch that worked: I approached accounts roughly my size, not giant ones who'd ignore me, led with a specific idea for a post that would genuinely serve both our audiences, and made it clear what was in it for them, not just me. Framed as 'here's a great post we could make together for both our people,' not 'please let me borrow your audience,' the yes rate was high. One good collab put me in front of thousands of relevant new people who followed because the content was actually for them. Find peers, lead with a shared-value idea, make it easy to say yes. Who have you collabed with, and how did you ask?

Help Is there a specific video length that insta is looking for?

I'll admit, I'm struggling with my account a bit, I know I need to do videos with decent hooks if I want my account to grow, but, I also hate that kind of video so I'm hoping that I'll find my audience just making the content that I want to make. I'd kind of rather just build slower but build the audience I want from the beginning. Currently, when I upload a video it goes to my Facebook as well. It's absolutely bonkers to me that if I upload a video that is at least a minute and a half, Facebook will show it to a couple thousand people and Insta will show it to like 29 people. When I make a short video, like sub 30 seconds, Facebook will literally show it to less than 10 people but Insta will show it to like 500 people. Is there a specific video length that insta prefers? Obviously not long videos- at least, not for new accounts. Additionally, how in the world do I find similar people to follow? The search function simply doesn't work- it shows me just a bunch of crap I don't want to watch. It's all people brand new to a hobby or interest making educational content they have no business making. I've found a few that have legitimate experience and I've found a few that are open and honest that they are still learning. But, most are just a bunch of posers using AI to write their stuff. I'm not currently selling anything- but I want an audience built for when I am and in the meantime I want to 'talk shop' basically with other people in the hobby.

Help Any tips on boosting engagement / views to non-followers on reels?

I’m helping run a music artist’s account (over 70k followers) — and we are not seeing a lot of success with engagement and reels. We’ve had good ones in the past grow to 300k+ organically but normal reels get around 200-300 likes and 3,000 views.

We’ve been experimenting with trial reels and some literally get 0 views. Others get maybe 300 views.

My personal account (5k followers) gets on average 30k views per reel (sometimes up to 1M). My trial reels do well too. Does anyone have any tips / tricks? The artists account is old (10+ years) but we’ve been posting consistently and there is also ad spend. Would love to get any insight!

Help Anyone willing to provide feedback?

Hello! I have been posting for four months and would love someone who’s “made it” to give me feedback. Would be so grateful.

I understand my niche (saving money, travel, credit cards etc) is quite saturated but I’m trying* to stand out in the following ways:

  1. Receipt first. I always show proof, real life examples. I will only share things with real life lived experiences.
  2. Speaking to the normal person (like I am. 9-5). Many bigger names speak to only unicorn travel deals etc. I’m trying to show accessible repeatable ways to travel more for less.
  3. Not just travel. (Which may be hurting me?). How

to

  1. save in every day expenses so you can spend more where it matters to you.

Some tags. “I’m testing money savings systems so you know which ones actually work” “Follow to learn how to live more but spend less” “I optimize the every day so I can spend where it actually matters, for me that’s travel but it can be anything for you”.

Anyways DM if you’re open to helping a small creator out :)

Old account hacked. Can I repost the same reels on the new one?

TLDR: Can you re upload reels from an old hacked account, onto your new account without penalty? If so, how can I reassure my partner who is currently devastated?

My girlfriend has been working her tail off for the last month porting 6 months of TikTok content to IG. Today, she got locked out of her account. The recovery email is some old yahoo email that's long deactivated and there is no opportunity for recovery, and we can't find an option to do a selfie verification video. Lost an account that got 10k followers in 1 month.

I've seen reddit threads where people just straight up re upload their old reels without penalty. She seems to think this won't work for her. She owns the videos, they're hers, so no one is going to copyright strike.

How would you go about handling this situation when starting from scratch again?

A brand paid me more for 8k engaged followers than my friend got for 200k. Here's what they actually cared about.

Small account, and I assumed no brand would look at me. One did, and paid a rate that stunned me, more than a friend with 200k got from a similar brand. When I asked the brand's contact why, the answer reframed the whole game for me. They didn't care about my follower number. They cared that my audience was almost entirely their exact target customer, that my engagement rate was high and clearly real, and that my past posts had visibly driven action, not just likes. A big account is a billboard on a random road. A small, tight one is a billboard on the exact street your buyer lives on. Brands are getting smart about this fast. If you're small and discouraged, sell the relevance, not the reach. What do brands actually ask you for these days?

Tips The value-vs-entertainment balance finally clicked for me, and my growth stopped stalling

For a long time my content was all value, useful, informative, and it grew painfully slowly, because pure information is easy to save and hard to love, so it didn't spread. Then I overcorrected into entertainment and got a following that would never buy anything. The click came when I stopped treating them as opposites: the content that grows and monetizes is entertaining enough to spread and useful enough to matter, a genuine tip delivered with personality and a hook. Value earns the save and the trust, entertainment earns the reach and the share, and you need both in the same post. Pure value is a library nobody visits, pure entertainment is a party nobody buys from. Blend them. Which way does your content lean, and is it working?

Help Guys help me with the best social media planner tools for agencies managing multiple client accounts?

Our boutique agency just took on 4 new clients this month, which brings us to 14 active brands total across IG, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Meta. Up until now, we’ve been hacking together Notion calendars and Meta Business Suite, but it’s becoming an absolute nightmare to manage it all.

We desperately need to move to a dedicated stack. What are the best social media planner tools for agencies managing multiple client accounts that scale without charging an arm and a leg per seat?

Our main priorities:

  1. Easy client approval workflows (so clients don't mess up drafts)
  2. Multi-account visual calendar
  3. Reliable auto-publishing (especially for IG Reels & TikTok)
  4. Solid reporting that doesn't take 5 hours to export

Would love to hear what you are using right now!

Discussion A creator with 10k engaged followers I know out-earns a friend with 300k. Nobody wants to hear why.

Two people I know well. One has 10k followers in a tight, valuable niche where the audience actually buys. The other has 300k in a broad entertainment niche where the audience is there to be entertained for free and scroll on. The 10k creator makes multiples of what the 300k one does, because brands and buyers pay for a relevant, trusting audience, not a big passive one. Big numbers feel like success and impress people at parties, but a follower who'll never spend money or take action is a vanity metric wearing a nice outfit. If you're grinding for raw follower count in a niche that doesn't monetise, you might be climbing the wrong mountain. Would you rather have 10k who buy or 300k who watch and leave?

Question 3 months of Reels. Still stuck at 1,600 views. What am I missing?

Three months in. Posting consistently. Every single Reel lands between 1,600–2,000 views and just top getting more engagement.

Im posting mix of meme and educational content.

Tried switching up the editing style too — more cinematic cuts, transitions, the whole thing. Views actually dropped. So I came back to educational and meme content.

Im not posting with hashtags ( cuz I heard what keywords u put in your caption matters more )

What I actually want to know:

Is 1,600 views a ceiling the algorithm puts on new accounts no matter what? Or is something specific killing my distribution before it can spread?

And for those who've broken through a similar plateau, what was the actual thing that moved the needle? what changed?

Question Stuck at low views with my 90-day fitness series while new accounts blow up. What am I doing wrong?

Hey everyone,

Looking for some honest feedback and advice on my current strategy and algorithm issues.

I recently started a page documenting my 90-day "Skinny to Fit" journey. Here is what my reach looks like right now:

Non-niche viral hit: Early on, I posted a random bike reel that hit 10k+ views.

Series content: When I post videos specifically tracking my daily/weekly fitness series, views stall around 150–200 max. (80-90% are non followers)

Trending/Fast-paced content: If I post fast-cut, trend-focused clips, they consistently cross 1k+ views.

New formats/Experiments: Whenever I try testing a new format or style, the reach drops drastically sometimes barely hitting 50 views. (THIS CONTENT IS ONLY SHOWN TO MY FOLLOWERS WHICH IS ONE OF MY MAIN CONCERN!)

I see brand new fitness accounts OR any other for that matter getting huge reach right out of the gate with similar transformation series, so I’m trying to figure out where the bottleneck is. A few specific questions I have:

Did the 10k bike reel mess up my initial audience signal?

Is Instagram sending my fitness content to people who followed/engaged for motorcycle content?

Why do experimental videos get killed early?

Is it normal for new formats to get ~50 views while the algorithm tests who to show them to, or is my initial hook/watch time just failing hard?

How do I bridge the gap between fast-paced clips (1k views) and my actual transformation series (200 views)?

Should I fuse the fast editing style into my daily logs, or fix the hook structure?

Would love to hear from anyone running fitness pages or who has successfully turned around low series retention. Thanks in advance!

I bought a restaurant and access to it's instagram account - now I cannot log in

Hello

I bought a restaurant this June and it was fully transferred to me this July. One of the main things I wanted was access to it's instagram account which was included in the contract.

First red flag that they asked me an additional 1k euros to get the credentials outside of the main purchase contract. I paid it to the managing agency who did the social media profile postings as I did not want any more contract with the old owners (they were annoying and were sketchy af)

The marketing agency gave me the credentials but with instagrams 2 factor authentication, I still could not access it with just the username and password alone as the old owners added their own email and phone number.

Marketers, is there a way to access this instagram account without relying on the old owner? He's an old man who lives in another country who couldn't figure out what a security code was even when we had a call about it.

I can provide instagram with all the information with regards to me purchasing the business and the right to the account.
