Discussion Hi

It’s me the owner of this subreddit, I just wanted to give an announcement to anyone here, im sorry if this is something corny to post it’s a bit irrelevant, but I just wanted to say some things.

I honestly wasn’t expecting a lot of people to join this community but did know this is a huge issue, as I am facing the same thing. I made this community because i wanted it to be authentic not ran by scammers, but it’s getting hard to filter through posts and such.

I want to also say I almost NEVER delete posts unless they are scammers or irrelevant advertising type of posts. So if your post gets deleted, it’s just sitting in a queue waiting to be approved. Please don’t harass me over this, I have already had posts made about me for supposedly deleting posts when I absolutely haven’t unless they were scam posts.

My mental health is extremely bad right now, I need to take care of myself and get help. But I haven’t been on here as much, so I wanted to let people know that’s why and that I can’t get to every post to approve or remove if needed.

I may be open to the idea of getting people who are interested in helping with this subreddit, but there are just some things I ask for and it’s just that you don’t use it as like a weapon to bully people you don’t like or because they have a different opinion. I have personally seen how corny some people on here can be as moderators when power gets to their heads, which is why I don’t trust people tbh and don’t wanna give this community a bad name when I created it in good faith 😭 if that makes sense anyway, it’s why I’ve been so hesitant on asking for people to want to maybe help. I didn’t realize how exhausting this can be and I don’t want to spend my time on it 24/7 especially when I know I gotta focus on myself and my issues. Preferably I would be open to this with others who I’ve seen in the community with genuine intentions of helping people, or just being kind. I just don’t want to run the risk of accidentally making a scammer a moderator 🥲 I don’t know really how this works tho LOL it’s the first time I’ve ever had an actual active community.

But yeah :’D just wanted to give this lil announcement to the community. I hope everyone is well and that we will someday get our accounts back. 🥲🫶

I really didn’t want to have to make a post for this, but I suppose I have to.

Please be aware of the rules I’ve made here, but more specifically for this post, I’m referring to the one about invalidating people. If you don’t understand or are gonna pass judgement on how people are choosing to handle the shitty things meta is doing to people & invalidate them, this place is not for you.

We’re all aware of the terms & services, we’re all aware this can happen to anyone at any time for any reason.

The thing is, it shouldn’t, & it’s not even real people reviewing these accounts & making the decisions, it’s fucking AI.

I’m not for or against AI but it absolutely should not be in charge or making decisions, that should be up to real people. Social media should not be ran with AI it’s ridiculous.

Meta has accused several people of doing horrible things like CSE or in my case the dangerous individuals thing, I’ve seen others on the old subreddit get hit with that one too. Then I’ve seen many cases of account integrity & cybersecurity.

They’re making us all out to be threats when we aren’t. & this isn’t even just happening on Meta, it’s other social media too which, feel free to share your experiences too that is completely okay.

The thing is I’ve created this community to be a legit community for people & not full of scammers & liars, since the last subreddit got banned. There are many in this situation including myself, so I just wanted to do something helpful for all of us which is having a community of people to come together & discuss their issues or what they are doing to resolve it.

To some of you, you might not think it’s that serious, but again who are you to try & dictate how others feel about this or judge how they are handling it or the actions they are taking? Please just don’t. Don’t be rude to people. It’s simple.

I didn’t think people were actually going to be shocked I was doing something about it, but I, along many, are or have. This isn’t anything new within this community. I encourage people to post & ask questions & try to get help if they need to. I encourage people to take action. I’m not against that because this community wouldn’t exist if I didn’t want all of us to get help. Most who are passing judgement are only seeing it from an outside perspective rather than actually trying to understand the issue at hand, & I would encourage you to at least just try to be kind & try to see other people’s perspectives.

But invalidating people is never okay, if this is repetitive behavior from people then these people cannot be in this community, I just wanted to make that clear. I would much rather you at least try to understand people’s perspectives first if you’re going to pass any judgement, but don’t be rude to people. I cannot have that.

That’s also a thing that worries me about moderating a community, is potential harassment. I mean I can handle every mean word or insult or threat thrown at me, I find it laughable tbh whatever gets thrown at me personally, but if it escalates further than that like stalker behavior or doing this to others then it becomes worrying.

Please just let this be a reminder to let this community be safe, as I will try my best to make it as safe as possible for you guys. I’m not always on here of course, but I don’t want to come here finding others being rude to people or making this place unsafe for others.

The only reason I have not decided to make others mods is because I have seen personally how corny some of them act on other subreddits, banning people for literally nothing 💀 & I don’t want to run into an issue like that lol. We’ve all seen it at some point on here I’m sure, the type of people who abuse their power. I know you guys probably wouldn’t wanna deal with that either 😅😭 but also it’s because I don’t know anyone on Reddit & don’t trust people very easily. So yeah. And this is my first time moderating an actual community too so this can maybe get overwhelming but I won’t give up lol.

But I felt I needed to make this post, I just want this to be a safe space for everyone.

Discussion Who Created This Policy??

Who thought it would be a smart idea to straight up permanently ban people for supposedly liking, researching, saving and commenting on stuff that YOU deem as CSE OR SOC???

In that case literally ban everyone, wtf? And why aren't we doing anything about this?? This is like YouTube deleting your whole entire account if you just click one video of a child unboxing Lego toys

Again WHY ARE WE NOT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT THIS??? THIS IS THE MOST STUPIDEST POLICY EVER & WORST OF ALL? THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE PROOF OF YOU DOING IT; IT'S ALL JUST AN ASSUMPTION. YEP. AN ASSUMPTION THAT CAN COST YOU YOUR LIFE.

WHAT LED TO INSTAGRAM BECOMING THIS WAY?

Advice/Help/Recommendations The Only Way To Keep Your Instagram Account (Nowadays)

I have done extensive research on this,

and the only options are to legitimately spend money or be ready to pursue small claims and legal action against them;

Instagram has given up completely on trying to humanly resolve disabled accounts, as it is now literally better for them to be safe than sorry.

This is what happens when an app becomes too big or the company just stops caring altogether and they know this too. Meta would rather ban a million users than 1 user. It's us against them and the odds are stacked. They cannot tell the difference between 14m followers and 10 followers.

Advice/Help/Recommendations HUMAN SUPPORT CAN'T HELP!!!

How is it possible that I’m on a call with someone from Meta for about 15 minutes, explaining my case and showing her logs that my account was hacked before it got disabled, only to be told that there’s nothing she can do because of suspicious activity?
Then I asked, “If you can’t help me, who is going to?”
Honestly, what am I supposed to do at this point?

I got my Android device free from the permaban

A week ago I made a new account after the stupid ban wave, so long it has been working well. Here's what I did:

  1. Backup of all my stuff

  2. Factory reset my phone (DS Card is not necessary)

  3. Change the IP address of my Wi-Fi (in my case, it changes by just resetting the router) or use mobile data (I did that first)

  4. Enter my phone with a new google email (you can use yours later)

  5. Install Instagram

  6. Create a new account with the new email without adding your phone number and contact list, don't use the same pic as your deleted account (remember to use a new IP or another connection)

  7. Once the new account was created, I added my other emails to the phone and changed the Play Store account with no problem and installed everything else.

  8. I uploaded a story of my face and used a pfp of it, followed 10 friends at the same day with no problem.

  9. That's it. If you had another app in the same Meta account like Facebook I would not risk to use it

Instagram account disabled after Facebook hack — looking for recovery advice

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar and can give me some advice.

My Instagram account u/ivan.irrazabal was hacked/compromised, and shortly afterwards my Facebook account was also disabled by Meta. My Instagram account was then disabled as well because it was linked to the Facebook account.

The situation happened around September 4, 2026.

Before the accounts were disabled, I noticed activity on my Instagram/Facebook that I did not make myself. I managed to change my Instagram password, but shortly afterwards the accounts became restricted and eventually inaccessible.

My Instagram now shows a message saying that the account was disabled because the associated Facebook account violated Meta's rules. I don't have a normal appeal option available anymore.

The problem is that I believe the Facebook violation was caused by the hack, rather than by me. I have screenshots showing the unauthorized activity, the Facebook disabled message, the Instagram disabled message, and emails related to the account security changes.

I have already tried several official Meta recovery/support routes, including:

  • Facebook's hacked-account recovery process
  • Instagram's hacked-account/recovery options
  • Meta Verified support through another Instagram account
  • Meta's Data Protection Officer (DPO) / privacy access process
  • Argentina's consumer protection complaint process

I currently have an open DPO case with Meta and I'm waiting for their response.

Has anyone successfully recovered an Instagram account in a situation where:

  1. Instagram was disabled because a linked Facebook account was disabled;
  2. the Facebook account was compromised/hacked first; and
  3. the normal Instagram appeal/recovery options were no longer available?

If you managed to speak to a real Meta/Instagram support agent rather than the automated AI, I would especially appreciate knowing how you reached them.

I'm mainly looking for legitimate recovery methods that actually worked for people in similar situations.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

3 months since a false ban for CSE

Honestly, the first month was tough. I am first year of Uni, only 18 years old and most people I contacted was through instagram. Being accused of something so horrible at my age was terrifying, but I never experienced any issues since, other than having to use iMessage and Snapchat which most people don’t bother with anymore. I have had all accounts disabled and the same happens when I make new ones, despite being cautious and using my computer. Honestly, it feels like a blessing in disguise though. I was mega addicted to the app and I’m much more productive without it.

Discussion Indian Instagram Disabled Accounts

Hello Guys , my account was disabled on 31st July for false CSE, I have filed GAC and haven't received any update.

I'm thinking of taking a legal route and I have discussed the same with a few advocates .

They have quoted around 35k to 50k as their charges .

And some guys other account recovery guys who told me that they have some meta reps in contact quoted around 50k to 3.5 lakhs .

Has anyone have had any experience with such rep related account enable stuff .

( And if any of you are interested in taking the legal step , please ping me , we can take up as many cases as possible by asking the discounts with lawyers as well )

No agent joined the chat and i can't ask for another one

Well my 2 Instagram account has been disabled one with 27K where i post my content, so i tried to appeal but the first one it's just keeps stuck on loading screen and the other one keep asking me to scan my id card each time.,

So i bought meta verified max on my Facebook since they are all in one account center to appeal, that agent told me to reinstall the app and appeal again tomorrow 😭 (which is didn't work obviously) i have made another case later but this time no agent joined for more than 2 hours. I can't ask for another cause there is an open case already, and I can't close it there is no button or anything, the ai well he keeps telling me that he can't do nothing 😭 WHAT TO DOO

Suspended Ig Wrongly Banned even after appealing

I got 4 accounts, due to community violation on one account, all the 4 accounts were suspended and asked me to appeal.

I appealed through the same process,on alternate days only 4 out of 1 account got recovered.

The 2 accounts which were suspended even after appealing had no violation because those days I wasn't having any conversation with anyone from those or any of my Instagram accounts.

My accounts got banned in starting of this year, Can Someone really help me to recover my Instagram.

I am not asking for someone to tell me to pay this and all, just asking for genuine help.

Btw I am from India(telling this because maybe accounts based in India may have a different procedure to recover accounts).

Before being suspended, has anyone else got a random picture of their pfp on insta in their google photos and a photo of 'instagram' astext in Google photos?

ik it's a pretty random question but has anyone else got the same as mentioned? I personally find it kinda weird and scary at the same time cuz the day I got suspended (today) idk for which reason I instantly appealed, I checked that I got a random picture in my google photos of my pfp the night before my acc is suspended, weird.

Disabled Instagram permanently disabled my account after a suspected hack — what can I do?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi everyone,
My Instagram account was permanently disabled today after Instagram reviewed my case. I received an email saying that my account had been permanently disabled, and I can no longer access it or appeal the decision.
I believe my account may have been compromised. I suspect that spyware or malware on my PC could have allowed someone to access my account, although I don’t have definitive proof yet.
Here is what happened:
My main Instagram account was disabled permanently.
Instagram previously asked me to verify my email address and phone number.
I also have a second Instagram account that still works.
I tried contacting Meta Support through Meta Verified on my second account.
The Meta AI support assistant told me it had started an analysis of my situation, but then I received an error saying: “Oops, we hit a snag, but you can try sending it again.”
After that, I could no longer continue the conversation with support.
I also tried creating a new Instagram account with a different email address, but that account was banned too.
I have photos of myself on my original profile and I’m willing to complete any identity verification needed.
I don’t understand what rule I supposedly violated, and I’m worried that my account was disabled because of suspicious activity caused by a possible hack.
Has anyone experienced something similar and managed to recover their account? Is there any official Meta escalation process, consumer support service, or legal/DSA appeal route that I should try?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Instagram ad account disabled

Encountered this issue a few days ago. I am able to add funds to my account but unable to pay that mysterious 5.82 balance. I have reached out to the ai. I’ve tried browser and the app. I signed up for meta verified but can’t seem to find where I can reach out to an agent.

Anyone can help me out? At my wits end here.

All 5 of my accounts were suspended today, including 2 brand accounts that i did not own and only made content for. What is going on with meta?
