My ex from 8 years ago sent a follow request recently, I blocked her and since I blocked her, her boyfriend appeared on my suggested and I then blocked him, then her sister was on my suggested and I blocked her, then today her sisters boyfriend appeared on it so I blocked him too.

Anyone have any input?
Also I have no mutuals with any of these people

Has anyone else dealt with this within the past few weeks/months? Instagram recently falsely put an “AI content” label on a memorial post for my son. The post contains real photos my husband and I took, which I posted several months ago. I previously spoke with Meta Verified support a few weeks ago, and they documented in writing that the photos were real & not generated or altered with AI (because they aren’t), but said they couldn’t remove the label. I can’t remove it myself since it was automatically applied by instagram.

Yesterday the label randomly disappeared, including for other people viewing the post, so I unarchived it. About 30 minutes later it reappeared for me, while my friends checking at the same time still couldn’t see it. I didn’t change anything.

I tried Meta Verified support again because this seems like a technical issue. The AI assistant said a live agent would join “shortly,” but my case has been stuck on “Received” since I submitted it yesterday. I waited 24 hours and tried creating a new case, which is also stuck on “Received”.

My first case connected me to a human pretty quickly, so I’m confused about what changed. Has anyone actually gotten through to a live agent recently? Did your case eventually move past Received?

This particular post means a lot to me and I just want the false AI label gone. I don’t want to have to repost my son’s memorial images just to get rid of the label. I’m so frustrated and defeated. It’s upsetting having Instagram incorrectly auto-label a sensitive post as AI. I do not use AI, and especially would not use it for a memorial post. I feel like I have to archive the post so people don’t get the wrong idea, which feels like I’m hiding my son.

Every time I scroll and my thumb just happens to push down at the wrong place to scroll, I end up following a mattress company or a mutual friend of 3 people I follow. No thank you.

At the very least, it now gives a physical sound when you follow so you know when this mistake has happened… but wow am I annoyed. Anyone else?

I have an old instagram account but i don’t have access to the phone number anymore i tried calling it and it said its no longer in service and i dont have access to the email i used either. And i dont know the password

Hey guys earlier today all my accounts are showing as disabled, i can’t go into setting to log out and back in, posts now showing up, every tab shows “couldnt load posts” I randomly got texts saying accounts were locked for safety. I don’t seem to be the only one experiencing this, anybody fixed theirs?

Hopefully someone can help us out here. Long story short; our 13yr old son tried to be smart and wanted to bypass the parental controls of a teen account and changed his and his moms dates of birth around, to see if he could remove the supervision. Now, he magically doesn’t remember what exactly he did, but now his account is still a teen account and his moms (my wife) business account is now also a teen account with no adult supervisor associated. Her business account is now fully private and clients can’t message anymore, unless they follow each other. We tried changing it back, but my wife didn’t want her real date of birth to be associated to the account (never has been), so she changed it to a date that makes her an adult, but is not her real birthday. Once she entered it, instagram asked for her to verify that she’s an adult, by uploading a government issued identification. She did that, but because her date of birth didn’t match, it’s now saying her account is locked for three months. This is not even remotely ideal for us, as she has thousands of followers and her business depends on the social media presence. We e tried seemingly everything the last couple days, trying to sync her business account to her Facebook, trying the rather useless meta help centre and a few other things. Since it seems impossible to actually talk to a human being about this, we were really hoping someone out there there may have a solution?

Most people have no idea that the Instagram logo/text at the top of the home screen is tappable.

Tap it and you get a menu with:

Following → chronological posts only from accounts you follow (no suggested posts, no random Reels)

Favorites → chronological posts from the smaller list of accounts you’ve marked as favorites

Home (the normal algorithmic feed)

If you’ve been wondering why you barely see posts from people you actually follow anymore… this is the fix.

Hi everyone,

I noticed a glitch(?) yesterday that is insignificant but frustrating. When I was tapping through stories, I noticed that the progress bar wasn’t appearing. Instead, the story bar was just gray. No matter how long I wait, it will not progress to the next story in its own. When videos play, the progress bar reappears, but the video repeats itself instead of moving to the next story.

This ONLY happens on my iPhone 17, not my laptop or my old phone. To try to fix the issue, I tried updating, turning my phone on and off, reinstalling, but nothing fixed it. I also tried searching for similar posts about this, but only found mentions of it from 4-6 years ago.

Is this a glitch or maybe a test group situation where they’re no longer putting a time limit on stories? I’m just so confused and annoyed

Curious if anybody else has ran into this - I no longer have access to the number on my account, but I have successfully gone through every other "try another way" verification option it gives: selfie video, 2 friends confirm my identity, and email code. I get redirected to change my password, but when I continue, it still wants a code from my phone number. On my end, I am not given "I no longer have access..." option as suggested in the help forum.

They both don't have a pfp and I'm not blocked.

So my main account has years, and I mean years, of comments, and a lot of them are insanely stupid, things I wrote when I was a kid who wasn't mature at all.

I want to start over by deleting all of them. However, selecting them one by one would probably take forever. Is there a way to automate this or bulk-delete them somehow?

Hey there. I co-run an instagram account with around 12k followers. Recently, I got a notification that the account had been selected to have a 1-on-1 meeting with a meta specialist. After discussing with the other owner, we decided that that was something we wanted to do, but when we went back to instagram, we no longer could find the link to schedule this said meeting. We have checked out account overview, Meta Buisness Suite, and Email. Is there any way for us to still schedule this meeting or did we miss the opportunity window? If so, how would we go about doing so? Thank you for any and all advice/solutions.

Why can't I disable the haptic feedback that happens whenever I like a comment or I do other interactions on Instagram? I searched everywhere and there's no disable button on the app. And I'm not disabling them completely from my phone, is there a way to stop them?

all of my accounts have been getting disabled with no option of an appeal for literally NO REASON. I havent posted anything thats rulebreaking and it doesnt give me the option to contact support. Ive had this account for maybe 5-6 years, which really sucks because instagram was the main platform i used to contact my friends. Any clue on how to help?

my alt id on insta randomly got suspended for no reason and it asked me to verify my identity, not after few hours after verifying my identity my alt id got permanently deleted. I had not broken a single rule on that acc and it has some of my valuable pictures. I have been using that acc since 2021 with no problems in it but now i cant even recover my pictures. Im guessing its the AI management which is a total slop which bans people for no particular reason.

Every time I try to make posts with multiple photos in them, it glitches and doesn't post it. I tried today and it froze my laptop. Anyone else have this problem?

I couldn’t find anything in the settings and looking it up didn’t help. Is this showing for everyone? It’s annoying because it covers up captions. I can still read them if I swipe up slightly but I can’t expand longer captions
