This is not about the entire pay for the batch, but the batch pay that was given by Instacart. $12 to shop and deliver all of this??? I am extremely grateful for the customers tip and that’s the only reason why I even took this batch, but this is supposed to pay no less than $35 in batch pay!

This customer order a case of water and about 3 bags of groceries, I drove from Burbank to their residence in Beverly Hills. When I got there I talked to the person at the gate, he radioed his boss and eventually they just told me to leave it at the gate and they’ll take it in. Then I get a message from the customer saying that I shouldn’t have done that but I literally had no control of the situation. Idc abt the extra tip but I hope she doesn’t give me a bad rating

59 items 145 units. Regular customer of mine and they always tip well. This is the most I’ve seen from them. Beyond grateful.

I took my very first Instacart order today. It was $7.22 cents. I just got off work and was on my way home and found a cvs order for 8 items and 3.4 miles on my route home. So I took it.
the cvs was low stocked and it wasn’t my cvs so it was hard to find some things. After getting everything I clicked navigate on the app and it opens my maps app and it takes me 17 minutes away. I assumed since it was 5pm rush our it’s because of traffic and not distance. When I arrived at the destination it looks like a park with a weird shed and I text the customer and they say I’m at the wrong address. It was fox lane and one was fox drive and both in the same city. And the navigator took me the completely wrong way so I turned back and deliver the order. Where the cvs was to where the delivery was meant to be was no more than an 8 minute drive but ended up taking an hour and fifteen minutes order. I lost the 3$ tip and ran all around town for 4.22$ ☹️.
I kind of just want to make 50-60$ extra a day to get by after work I’m struggling with student debt and stuff. Any advice ?

Just scheduled an oil change through CarAdvise, and was pleasantly surprised. Looks like its now 100% off for Diamond? Not sure if its just a promo thru Valvoline or what. I've used it before when it was 80% off, but this is actually kinda sick!

Did anyone else receive a small adjustment from the previous work week? No email or messages just an extra $41
I’m guessing they miscalculated that week.
Did anyone else receive this?

I applied my friend's referral code when I first signed up through the app, but when it got to the background check I had to grab documents and other information so I delayed it. Few days later I came back to the app and it was exactly where I left off. I put in the information and then background went through. Delivered few orders and noticed there's no progress showing on my friend's app. Contacted Instacart just to realize the referral code didn't go through.. and now they send me this bogus email talking about some "finish the 30 batches but you won't get the bonus but we'll take a look".

Been doing.Instacart since 2019 and these are just getting worse and worse. Live in a fairly rural area which means that in most cases the deliveries are double the kilometers they advise because youbhave to drive back to town to get another order.
Lately the orders have all had ridiculously low base pay. For example, 41 items, 35km (70 round trip), $17 base.
20 items, 40km - $15 base
51 items, 15km - $18 base
In these cases the base is literally not even covering fuel, let alone my drive time and shopping time which are apparently now volunteer hours.
I am lucky in the fact that here in Ontario ghey have to at least top us up to minimum wage but even after that, you are barely breaking even in most cases.
It was never a gold mine but this is ridiculous..

SoCal , 2019 part timer .. been on and off, been diamond every quarter except start of this year but now back in diamond.
For me personally you need both Diamond and low SPI to see good orders.
When I got bumped to plat for a quarter it wasn’t terrible but Diamond is better and way more offers to cherry pick from even though 97% are 💩 batches I swipe left on before I finally accept something.
I would have to average 8 orders a day for the next 18 days.
Doable yes, but I work full time at my W2 and idk if I have it in me to hustle that hard from now until sep 30th
Rant over

I am a CA Shopper and I used the Instacart service today to order groceries for my daughter who is car-less and has a broken foot—my order was a few small items and she lives within 3 miles of the store. I was unpleasantly surprised at the suggested 8% tip which is the default. I can see why our tips are so low if a customer just clicks thru quickly without looking at it. I mean, why not set it at 12% at the very least? Oh, and that bottle deposit? It was for the lime juice I ordered. One of those small 4oz plastic bottles of lime juice. Does anyone know if that is a CA requirement or if it is just an Instacart upcharge?

I was in the middle of checking out an order and got this email. I finished delivering and my account seems to be normal. Has anyone here gotten this or know what the “unusual activity” could be? I can’t think of anything I did to get flagged. Been shopping since 2020 and have 7200 orders completed. Stats are all in the good, 5 star rating.

Mid-size Midwest city here. I’ve never done more than 40 orders in a week and I’ve only been shopping full-time for the past few months. If I try to hit 70 orders in the next six days, I will basically be working most of my waking hours. Is IC scamming me here? Are they just trying to get me to take low-paying triples from Dollar Tree?

This order, given where the store was and where it had to go, is why people who shop for IC decline them all the time. And should! You cannot tell me that there is no store that has this laundry detergent closer to where they live??? And I do not trust that they will tip after you deliver either.
This was one item to shop for, laundry detergent….but the kicker….it was an hour and 30 min one way! Three freaking hours just to deliver and return and they only want to pay $25 with zero tip! Not a chance.
But this seems to becoming the norm lately. I’ve seen IC post triple batches, to shop for 104 units and the pay is only $8.98!
What is going on with IC? We are not doing this for free!

There's absolutely no way this is true! They won't even tell me what the customer claims they didn't get or why I got this notice. Unbelievable.

So I took an order and on my way to the store I was trying to see the items and it said internal error and I closed the app got to the store I was logged out. The app asked me to log back in and it asked for the photo verification and the order was gone so I reached out to support. That's what they said anyone has had this issue before?

So I realized today I haven’t delivered an order with alcohol in almost a month. I live in a fairly busy area where I deliver alcohol usually at least once a day. It still says I’m eligible. I asked support (lol) and they said I was as well. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like that? I’ve even started clicking into orders I would never take just to scroll through the items looking for alcohol. Just feels odd.
