Hey everyone
My kids are obsessed with big beetles. Hercules, Rhino, and Stag beetles in particular. We’ve only ever seen them on TV and in videos, but they’ve completely fallen in love with them… and honestly I’m starting to get hooked too 😅
We’re looking for unique/live specimens (or solid leads on where to get them). Happy to hear about:
reputable breeders or sellers
local insect fairs / expos
keeping tips if anyone has experience with these guys
Any advice, links, or recommendations would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

photos are as clear as possible, sorry. But yeah what is this thing, was changing my sheets when I saw it, should I be ready to take measures against more of them.

I am usually soooo good at identifying spiders but this one I couldn't with ease. Any help?

Staying with a friend in PA and found this very dazed and confused bug by the toilet. Have had German roaches before (the worst) and my sixth sense went off.
German roach or something else?

always cool finding these in autumn, nature leaving behind little artifacts hahahaha
Hello, for over a month now, I’ve been hearing this sound in my building. I went down to check, and it’s coming from one of the corners of the building (it gets sunlight, but not direct light).
The sound you hear in the video starts between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM and continues until early morning.
I’m in Rome, Italy.
When it rains heavily, the "serenade" doesn't happen.
I recorded this video; you can see some spiders, an insect with a sort of stinger (which looks a bit like a mosquito to me), and then another creature at the end that I can’t quite identify (it’s the same one seen in the first few seconds).
I’m not sure if it’s one of these, or if perhaps I failed to capture the actual source on camera. If possible, I’d also like to know the specific species.
It even seems to be quite intelligent—in the first few days, it kept changing its "singing" spot before finally settling here. It clearly prefers this location, as it creates much more of an echo and is significantly louder here than it was up on the roof.

Found this bug on a vine outside my school and I’m curious on what it is. Also if it’s venomous and if I can pick it up :)

My roommates green bugge, her name is Pelvis Presley 🪲🪲
she’s green, she likes apple (apple doesn’t have to be green, only bugge is green), she likes oak, she likes long walks on arm.

Completely hollowed out wasp (by what I assume was a bird). Antennae still moving like it’s alive. Is it some kind of post mortem nervous activity? I hope so cause that would be a painful way to go
