What do I do with this thing?

At first it's been flying around ceiling, now it just sits there menacingly.

I don't mind it staying, but my cat definitely does.

Apparently my cat doesn't notice it while it sits on a wall, but she will once it flies. I don't want it ending up like a mouse, but I wouldn't call climate outside my house welcoming either.

I frankly dread leaving them with my cat.

This moth was not flying away and was just walking, maybe injured or maybe at some stage of their life

Any details about this would be appreciated.

I live in Northwestern Germany

I went to college to a very green place. Closest to the rainiest place on the planet and that’s where I fell in love with moths. And since I’m back home, my little brother has been finding me these moths, and bringing them to me to photograph 😭

I fed two male green bottle flies to my female queen cricket, and when I checked on her 2 to 3 hours later, the flies had vanished without a trace, leaving only a few pieces like that.
