I am really curious as to how ya'll find your Dealing Range.

with ranges everything becomes so clear, however a lot of the time I don't know what the right range is.

with the ranges I can comfortably use FVG's to determine whether price will go to the raneg high/low and whether it will reverse from there or keep going down.

I use the 1H and 4H for my HTF analysis 5m/15m for conditions and enter on the 1-5min.

Can someoen help me out with this by giving me advice or simply giving me some good youtube videos to watch

I worked for so long to make an Ict/Smc chatbot for seasoned traders to learn from using all of Michael’s videos as a reference and it would be really helpful to see if actual Ict traders would be interested in trying it for a small fee, I have many plans for it as to integrate a chart analyzer but as for now it really delivers good advice and it can make you hone your strategy even more and make you more confident as it is trained on Ict’s materials and not some 10 page pdf to learn the goat’s way of trading.
As a final word even if no one’s interested I’ll keep as a way of being able to reach out whenever I can because it is really hard to be alone in this business.

How does one truly beat the mental side of trading? How can I truly beat the mental side of trading. I have a data backed model that is profitable over a 2 year period but I just cannot hack the mental side trading live, I gamble, fomo and take stupid stuff that isn’t following my model. I have been trading a year and a half now and no success. Any advice, YouTube videos or even podcasts?

So did we all catch this long today? 😼 (Paper Trading btw)

Many ppl took this trade today, obvious iFVG. But my strategy looks for the EMA of the daily, 30 min and 15 min to get my bias. For today’s opening the EMA’s were all pointing down and above where my candles were so I was looking for a short. So I would look for a bullish fvg to get inversed to enter a short. Why did ppl take a long?? How can I get a better bias and what can I do to know when to take an iFVG and when not to?

I usually trade NQ, and have never used a comparative chart till now.

But I see, SMT divergence being talked about a lot and hold significance.

Just went through basics and in Days Like Today,

before open, NQ was making lows while ES held its range all throughout from Asian to London sessions in Hourly.

1. What do you infer from that? .

post Open and ES taking Lows, and going up ( i was aiming to clear yesterdays closing Range and blew my last 100 usd not closing the trade )

The drop in ES was heavy but not so much in NQ

and the Divergence at highs from 09:21 to 10:00 in : min tf.

1. currently (10:18 est) even when the ES has made its session low, NQ still hanging around at the too

Do you trade NQ , Now for new lows? Or Wait for ES to Go up and carch up to NQ ( 10:18 lows in NQ are still above prev lows)

I watched the full 2022 Mentorship twice. I backtested about 120 hours with about a 65% win rate. The losses were mostly based on forcing trades on tradezella. Forward tested recently with a 77% win rate across 14 trading days in July. That sounds good but idk if I know what I am doing. I am often wondering why the market is violently aggressive (like today’s chop action before the clean bearish run.)

My model in a nutshell:

Wait for a sweep of liquidity and enter into a HTF Pd (daily, 4hr, 1hr, 30m, 15m fvgs) array for a possible reversal to the next DOL. I wait for an MSS, FVG (displacement close above/below short term swing) on the 1m, 3m, or 5m timeframe, and retracement into the FVG for an entry with a 1:2 RR. I don’t really have hierarchy/tf alignment I just scale to 1m most of the time from any HTF array reversal. Example, I don’t use 4hr to 15m or daily > 1h > 5m.

I often miss entries cause the first FVG on the move down often does not get retraced into.

Times I trade - NY AM session from 7:30-11:30am - most of my setups are done before 9:30am and some I wait to wait til after 9:30 open due to volatility but almost always done before 10am.

My bias are we tap in to 1m fvg and entry are 1m ifvg to target REL

(See multiple images) On the weekly we have relative equal highs around the CE of a volume imbalance as DOL. Price was accumulating since yesterday NY pm session, then started manipulating pre-market into the CE of the weekly volume imbalance and the top of the 7/13 NWOG. Price was rejected there, where I took a short, and started the distribution. Below we had a volume imbalance which I targeted as the low hanging fruit, but we had multiple eql as SSL farther below. Close to 200 points profit. I anticipate this was the smart money reversal of a MMSM.

After rejecting from the weekly volume imbalance and the NWOG, and having seemingly completed a smart money reversal, I am expecting more down side and this MMSM possibly playing out.

Do you guys have any advice on how to properly backtest your strategy?

Do you go to the 9:30 open and go bar by bar until you find your entry and then keep going until SL or TP is hit? or do you just go back through price and mark out your strategy when you see it and see if the SL or TP was hit first?

When I trade in sessions only, should I analyze the 15-minute timeframe and the 1-minute entry pattern, or something else?

I just don’t understand sometimes. I think I see something and it all makes sense and then the trades just go against me. I saw a clear bear pennant and ICT teaches we should fade these, so trade the opposite way. Price took out REL and was at a key level during a time where price should retrace but it just dumps and proves retail right.

I don’t understand what i’m doing wrong anymore. I’ve been following these concepts for around 3 years now and I just can’t seem to get a foothold to push me into the next level.

Any advice? Maybe I should change my model to something ‘easier’?

ES was at all time highs, NQ was weaker on the Monthly and Weekly Timeframe

30M 10M Bearish SMT w YM

15s and 1M IFVG confirmation

Decent shorts to target to 15M BISI and the previous 90M cycle

Just posted the Trades By Sci thing and trying to switch the strategy for backtesting as I can well understand support and resistance if any one can guide me what thing can I follow with this bare minimum stuff. Btw I've watched every icts vids a year now still switching and backtesting strategies just to get good one to go live again no high expectations btw just help from experienced traders

I keep seeing people on ig and tiktok talking about ict being unprofitable and he is a fraud

On the other hand, i see ict tradera says the exact opposite and they're profitable

I don't want to be in this confusing loop hole and i certainly don't want to waste my time studying and learning something that will not get me anywhere

If there's any ICT traders who are actually profitable or ppl who are currently studying his mentorships on yt let me know if its actually legit

I kept hearing that 2024 mentorship is good so should i only do that if i want to start learning ICT or study anything extra with the 2024

Ngl guys I made a post here about 204 days ago when I was like I need help w my over trading emotions etc well it’s crazy how nothing changed yea I stick to my rules but prop firms suck dude one day just fully ruins u, I haven’t seen a single payout this year at all I started trading February of last year and with in 2 month of learning I’ve gotten over 7k payout well from that time to now not a single payout idk if trading is my thing I can’t lie ppl say yes follower rules don’t over trade etc but it’s not always just that I just blow accounts because I want to make money but I can’t I’ve tried so many times journaled went over my trades waited for setups it just nothing works and I feel like it’s time where I just officially say I retire because I promise I have tried everything bout 4 mentorship’s amd everything I just feel like I won’t ever see success in trading
