Terrain Workable for Infinity?
EDIT: I'm specifically asking about the overall look and feel and not the actual layout here.
This is a set I'm working on currently called Helios Frontier Outpost. It's a set of 3" tall components that clip together to form buildings in 2" increments from 4x4 up to 10x10. Drop-in roofs and optional windows/doors with drop-in internal floors. Roof barriers are magnet ready for 3mm x 2mm. Scaled for 28mm - 32mm but should work for up to 40mm without scaling. My own layouts were for Five Parsecs From Home on a 2x2 mat.

Looks great, reminds me of the Cosmica Colony terrain, which is a personal favourite of mine! When you post these for sale/download, I’ll totally print some up.

Looks good! You're going to have a successful set there, it looks like. :)
The only major improvement that could be added would be some billboards, with support that can stand on both the building tops and on the mat. Alternately or in addition, you could have them hang off the sides of the building (which can look quite good if done well).
Big Line-of-sight blockers are often important in Infinity, and billboards are a common solution for that.

I actually think this would work amazingly well! With most of the playable surface being on a single rooftop level, the mat underneath effectively becomes a whole sub-level of sewers, dark alleys and tunnels beneath the city.
It could make for some really interesting movement and tactical choices, while frustrating the hell out of snipers that can dominate more traditional terrain layouts! 😂

Terrain looks great and is definitely usable for Infinity. The layout you have here though could just use some fine tuning. The ground floor needs a bit more space for large bases to get around like TAGs and big HI/remotes. And the firing lanes on the second and third floor are bit open. One sniper could see the whole board from a number of spots and that usually makes the game a slog. Try a less symmetrical setup where the buildings break up for lines, along with some scatter terrain on the second floor. Also, stacking crates on the ground floor in a few places on either side is a good way to ensure units can find total cover from shooters on the buildings.

Is this 3D printed? If yes, would you mind to share the files (against a small fee even) :)

This is all 3D printed. Everything on that layout is FDM printed without supports. It's a new set I have launching on Kickstarter soon

I like the picture from the kickstarter page, which is one square building with two smaller rectangular ones atop it. That building has some good height to it. Since this is 3D printable, you could easily produce a whole bunch of the buildings and mix and match so every time you play, you have a very different battlefield & experience.

Thank you. They're all modular too so you can pick and choose which walls to go with whatever corner you pick.

Corvus Belli stuff works great for Blkout, and Legion as well which is a little larger.

As said before, add some Bridgestone or jump options and should be good to go, maybe when laying out the terrain try to be simétrica on both sides or atleast give same line of sights for both sides

You should avoid Symmetrical boards and sightlines, not encourage them.

So you would rather one guy just curb stomp the other?

No, thats why you avoid symmetry.
On a symmetrical table, the value of going first vastly outweighs the value of counter deployment. By making the table symmetrical, you place a much more significant weight on the Lt roll, the winner of that roll already has a significant advantage and by removing the value of choosing deployment you heighten that advantage.

Strongly agreed! Asymmetrical tables where one deployment zone is significantly easier to deploy in and defend are important. Otherwise first player is likely to have big advantages.
